  • I have never used one of these before. While being primitive compared to a micro motor it does work and I belive it would be possible to make jewellery with this tool although at a much slower pace.
Online training for practicing jewellers covering safe use, handling and storage of gas cylinders.

It's handy when you have power failure and need to get holes drilled.

Do you have any videos which explain drilling and correct burr sizing for setting stones? For example flush setting a stone? Is there a formula for the correct drill and burr sizes for the size of the stone?

Not a specific video about it but I have mentioned the methods I use a few times. small stones about 3mm and under I start with a thin drill as theyre best for a hole in the correct position then open up with a larger drill. Then I prefer to do most of the grinding away with a ball burr. I choose one slightly smaller than the stone to be set. Then use a heart or setting burr the correct size for the stone to drop down

Useless video, obviously the owner only wants the cash and doesn't check the uploads.
Wrong to mock the drill simply because you don't know how it works. Lift pressure to allow the return and press lightly as it spins forward again. I keep one by my scroll saw and use it for blade access holes.
