Edinburgh at christmas Time is one of my favourite places to be. The last time i was there, i caught Wicked the the Edinburgh playhouse and the christmas market. It was a great trip.
Glad you enjoyed Scotland. There are beautiful places all over the UK. Wales, Cotswolds, Cornwall, Yorkshire and lake district is just some of the places. Great video
Id say tourists would be better off discovering more of Scotland, rather than going to other parts of the "UK". This video is about Scotland after all.
Not sure if you know but there’s another American couple in Scotland who just moved there, their RUclips channel called Simple Scottish Living. It’s a good watch as well ❤
Pity Ballantine's distillery in Dumbarton stopped using geese for security, it's in yet another beautiful area of Scotland, Scarlet would've loved seeing that !. Kinda jealous seeing them eating. 'Stornoway black pudding' - that was introduced to me years ago as 'The Rolls-Royce of black-pudding' and that title wasn't wrong - 2/3 slices of it with a whisky cream-sauce and I'm in heaven !
Love Scotland, have spent a lot of time there on the past. Architecture in Edinburgh can be a bit austire. I'm sure you will enjoy the rest of your stay there lots of wonderful walks.
A very Edinburgh based old movie you might enjoy is The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, lots of those staircases. All about a Scottish girl's boarding school teacher educating her class in the 1930's about life. There's also a '70's TV series of it too. The Scots have been far more enlightened about women's education than the English for centuries.
Fun fact: Scotland north of the Great Glen fault line used to be part of America; the Appalachians to be precise. It broke away when the Atlantic Ocean began to form 60 million years ago.
Aye pal where was south of that fault line at the time? North Africa maybe? because obviously it could never have been south of the fault line and pushing into the north plate at the time, just like faults work eh? Obviously the giant volcano that Edinburgh castle is built on just doesn't exist? eh? but you think only the north part of a country that is over a thousand years old used to be part of a 300 year old country?
He's right, there's a reason why Scottish settlers were in that area, the soil was the same as they worked at home. The whole mountain range when it was one also had Loch Ness as pretty much the centre of it.
You don't need to worry about the white geese, its the Brent Geese/Canada Geese that are violent, and they're nicknamed 'Cobra Chickens' for a good reason. 😂 Love Scotland, I hope you guys have a great trip.
@haasfamfarm Well many people don't. They agree with me that it is cold, wet and unwelcoming, and that the food is awful. Everything is fried in dirty fat and consists of sausage meat and saturated fats such as black pudding or haggis. Nobody would think to eat vegetables or fruit.
Nice to see you having came up here to enjoy our country, Scotland, always more than welcome! 🙂
Thanks! 😃 can’t wait to come back!

Was that Loch Katrine you visited? Shssh, most vloggers haven't caught on to the Trossachs & pass them over for the Highlands.
@ethelmini BTW the Trossachs are in the Highlands🏴🏴🏴
More editing required from 9:05. Before that, all was excellent! Enjoy your trip!
Working on it!
