Nearly 12min long & no adverts- hurrah!
I am going to balance Michael’s comment out & say I am a sucker for fireworks- I love watching them!!!
Thank you for taking the time out to film that display!
Those poor birds on the river must have wondered what was happening. I know cats & dogs don’t like the bangs & noise so they must suffer similarly.
I really enjoyed it - did notice you capturing the reflection in the river! Thanks Paul- 12 m of pure enjoyment!

      Thank you Diana.
Glad you enjoyed it. I am not really a crowd or an event sort of person, but after having thoroughly enjoyed the Christmas Lights Switch on event here last December, I know that Bewdley puts on a great show, and it is a really friendly place too.
It did take a little while to get the sound just how I wanted it - that is, to get it is a good as it sounded on the night, as best as I was able - great acoustics with the retort across the whole of the Severn Valley - I should think that they heard it in Stourport!
I think the cat went home before it got dark - I think he/she sussed something was about to happen with all the extra people wandering around before the start.
I did worry about the ducks and swans on the river though, as it would have taken them a little while to have moved out of the way, and it was a very sudden start to the show.
Glad you noticed the reflections - I could have done with another cameraman on the bridge to have got some wider and reflection shots as well as crowd reaction scenes, but I can only be in one place at a time.
      Thanks again!
      Paul

Wow! It was just like being there at the display - you captured the sights and sounds of the fireworks brilliantly. I love the way they reflect on the water and Bewdley looks like a really lovely town. Such a cute cat early on in the video!

      Thank you Louise!
Yes, the cat came right up to me when I was chilling out in the park after doing some B Roll around the town.
Bewdley really is a lovely town! One of my favourite places - it has a, sort of, seaside feel to it, even though it isn't on the coast, but on a river. A very friendly town too!
Thanks for your kind words regarding filming.
I really enjoyed my day and evening here.
      Paul

What a lovely peaceful start in beautiful Bewdley. I did turn the sound down quite a bit for the fireworks, but they were certainly a spectacle.

      Thank you Faith!
Glad you enjoyed it - my goodness! They were very loud though! My ears were ringing on the way back home.
I thought the display was tremendous for a small town to put on.
      Take care,
      Paul

Very enjoyable. The swans on the Severn had a grandstand view - though I expect the Robin and the cat found a quieter spot!

Yes, the cat came up and sat next to me when I took a break from filming in the park. Shortly after, as it was staring to get dark, he/she made their way home nearby I think. Hopefully the robin found somewhere quieter too! I did worry about the swans and ducks in the river though.
Although I am not a crowds or events sort of person, it is always a very friendly town. It wasn't overwhelming, and there was a pleasant atmosphere there.
      Glad you enjoyed it.
      Paul.

One of the fun things during summer around the globe. Today is Canada Day so there should be some great fireworks across the country here as well. Great capture of the colors and sounds, Paul!

Thank you Donna - and a belated Happy Canada Day - sorry I am bit behind with the comments.
Thank you for your kind words - yes, I realise that the fireworks can be quite divisive whether people like them or not, but the show was put on by a professional team and it was done with safety first. Not sure the ducks and swans would have approved though!
Thanks so much - hope all is good with you.
      Cheers,
      Paul

Love the terrace and dining people by the water- such summery views Paul. Love the warning😱! I know fireworks make a spectacular show - not a fan though. But I won't spoil the party. Maybe a drone light-show is more of these times? You did film this well and presented us with a great spectacle. Hope the carnaval days will be dry and fun for all. 👍🇳🇱🙋‍♀🥝 Trying to pick up the routine after some hectic and personally hard weeks due to a bereavement. Be well Paul. 👌

Oh, I am so sorry to hear about your recent bereavement Anita - these things are always hard, and take some time to deal with, with both the initial practical things, as well as the emotional side too.
Yes, I know fireworks are a bit 'Marmite', as we say here in the UK (i.e. you either really like them, or don't) and I knew that not everyone would enjoy it. However, this small town always puts on a great show, and it was a terrific and friendly atmosphere. I think Glastonbury put on a drone show at the start of the music festival there.
Thanks so much, and always a pleasure to hear from you.
      Take care,
      Paul

Hi Paul, You captured that very very well.
I hope the Swans were ok, not sure if they would take fright with the noise.
It used to be quite a thing, the build up to fireworks night, it was the only time you had them. We even tried indoor fireworks one year!! (House didn't get burnt down!!). These days they are much more common and really top of events. I'm always enthralled by seeing them.
There is a variant of this in Valencia during their fiestas, in march. Its called the mascleta. Hundreds maybe thousands of bangers are strung up in the towh hall square and are set off at about midday. The noise is astonishing, not something I really enjoy, its the inner dog in me coming out!!
Robins are always atrracted to special people!!
    All the best

Yes, I was concerned about the wildlife with all those big bangs (it was VERY loud - enhanced by the natural geography of the landscape of town). I know that fireworks can be a bit marmite like though, so knew that this video would not be to everyone's taste.
I do have a soft spot for this town, and I was very impressed on how it can put on a great show, like it did at Christmas - most impressive for a small town.
The fireworks were done by a professional pyrotechnics company (they work in the film industry too, according to someone in the crowd) and safety issues were handled well. I was very close to the launch site, but I never felt one stray piece of firework or spark on me! It was very precisely calculated, and the other side of the river by the rowing club was closed off to spectators. It was a wonderful evening, with a lovely atmosphere.
Yes, both that cat and robin came right up to me when I was sat down in the park there after shooting the introductory footage. The robin left before the cat arrived though!!
      Cheers,
      Paul
