Hi Peter , have you seen the 3 Chinese campers that drove all the way from china . I think that they are on Iveco chassis and have 2 or 3 pull outs on them , Not bad for a 5 or 6 metre van . Enjoy the show and thanks for letting us be there.

Will we get the nugget plus trend in uk? Shame the new small vans don’t put in magnetic fly screens. Such an easy fit. Also it’s about time they saved us space on bulky thermal windscreen covers and put some built in blinds in. Prices are serious it’s about time they sorted it.

I think we are seeing the new age of campervans as they start to adopt the more modern looks and features of cars inside and out and this is of course reflected in the price. The days are gone where the dashboard looks like an early 2000's work van and I think this could push more people into using campervans as their every day. VW has some seriously nice designs, they always have compared to the others in terms of exterior looks. I think the Ford, and even though the Nugget, especially the one with the fixed high roof - perhaps the most ideal inside for me, just doesn't look dare I say as COOL as the VW.

We've been driving the California for seven years and this new design is a step backwards. There has always been a lack of space in Cali and now there will be even less of it.

Great review Peter, must have taken a lot of planning. Those micro campers are great when the weather is good, but as 2 ladies in a Cali Caddy in South Wales found out last week, not so good in the rain. Some great features on the Cali concept but it just looks too low inside compared to the current model. Cheers K.

They're an entirely different animal. A camper can be used as a daily driver but a motorhome can't. Think how much money this will save in capital outlay, tax and insurance - as well as not having a great white whale unused on the drive or in storage for eleven months of the year.
