Now seeing this small camera is great for both video and stills I’m gonna use it mainly for video. Just gotta sell the whole Sony kit and save up for a good prime for b rolls.
The only downside to the Sigma fp L compared to the original Sigma fp, seems to be poorer LOW LIGHT performance. Similar to comparing a Sony A7SII(12.2MP)to a Sony A7RII(42MP), the A7SII has less megapixels but, those megapixels being larger, collect more light than the megapixels on the A7RII.
I need to do a comparison, I’ll be honest I’ve been shooting almost all my reviews lately with the fp L and I have not noticed a huge loss in low light between the two
Hey Anson, how are you liking your fpL? Reason I ask is, I also decided to order one. I already have the fp, but like you, I am digging shooting stills now. So, how are you liking it now that you’ve had it for a while?
For stills the fp does not compare, primarily for the resolution and faster single shot AF. Also cause the AF is decently accurate. If I were doing a photo job, I would go fp L all day, video I would stay with fp
Chose the Sigma FP over the FP-L for full-frame slow-mo without cropping and a more affordable price. Using 4K CDNG with an SSD via USB-C, I need an external battery for longer shoots. While the FP-L can charge via USB-C, the FP can't, also other things doesn't bother me. 💪🎥
Interesting… I may have to investigate further into the highlight roll off. I do like the lumix s5 ii, but I will say I was shooting circles around Pav with the FP… until we need to film ourselves, and then he obviously was shooting circles around me with the superior AF

I need to do a comparison, I’ll be honest I’ve been shooting almost all my reviews lately with the fp L and I have not noticed a huge loss in low light between the two
the seems to be a myth, look at some comparisons - there is not much more noise with 61 mp than with 24...
Can I use it for church livestreaming
Yes
@@Ansonandco thank you very much
Hey Anson, how are you liking your fpL?
FP is still a beast camera, still own it, still is my primary video camera. So great call!
@@Ansonandco The original FP is used / Like New right now for like $1100. Seriously thinking about it.
dude you were in my hometown
It is a gorgeous location! Would love to go back sometime
It also seems like it performs better in the higlights compared to its predecessor. However for my personal use I`d rather go for the Lumix S5 mk2(x).
Interesting… I may have to investigate further into the highlight roll off. I do like the lumix s5 ii, but I will say I was shooting circles around Pav with the FP… until we need to film ourselves, and then he obviously was shooting circles around me with the superior AF
@@Ansonandco Cined made a review about it. But as far as I understand it should have a bit more DR but not much. If the rumors are then there might be some more intresting stuff coming out for the L mount. Hinting at a potential s1hmk2 . So at the moment it doesnt make much sense to invest in new cameras.
@@Ansonandco What do you mean shooting circles around him
@@A1Bokeh switching between photos and video on the s5ii was clunky, meanwhile I just flipped the switch and kept shooting. That’s just one example
@@Ansonandco you guys should do a video on how photos from each camera came out
Kings landing! I love Dubrovnic. !!
Yes!!! Absolutely beautiful town
Wait wait I need to ask ,is that Montenegro or Croatia on video? Ok it's Croatia, you can't miss that Oźujsko beer sign 🙂.
Croatia! My buddy went to Montenegro while we were there but we did not join him 😢
@@Ansonandcoam from Croatia ( Zagreb ) but working in Germany 🙂.
@@chwelio_jr that’s awesome! We stayed in Dubrovnik for the week. VERY beautiful country
@@Ansonandco thank you ,am really happy that you enjoyed your time. You need to come at summer🙂
Hope Sigma fp can have a new version has 4K 60p
Maybe, I’ve kinda given up hope on it. That said I talked to a couple of lumix people that said they still shoot slo mo in 1080 cause of the crop, so is it really a make or break?
S1Hii for me
That would be dope!
but size and price??
Watch in x1.25
My videos are already crazy short hahaha
Secret Pav!
Yes! Always love a secret dash of Pav in my videos
I still want it, but the AF is mine concerns…
I love the higher MP, but the rolling shutter sensor speed is slower then the FP is self.
Hope Sigma will make a new line up.
have you shot with the fp L and tested the rolling shutter. it's really not any worse than something like the bmpcc 6k pro. its really not crazy worse than the OG fp.
@@Ansonandco
No i did not test the fp-l version for the rolling shutter, but i saw many reviews where they showing it. And i like more full frame sensors, compared to the blackmagic. Plus the 12bit that's amazing! However the Raw file is only compressed, and there is not uncompressed Raw, correct me if I'm wrong. There's no ability to edit the file on Final Cut pro.
i wait for simga ff foveon )))
That is the dream!
what a Boss photo at the end Anson 😂 love it ! stop posting Sigma FP content man, your making me want one, really ! 😂 jk!
Lol right? I was like “I have to put this in the video!” Hahaha
Hey man I’m just existing, with possibly best camera under $2.5k… 😉hahaha
@@Ansonandco hahaha lol nice nice, I see what you’re doing 👌🏻😂 if I do go for one, I feel it would be the FP not the L, I’ve been eyeing it for a while now, I love compact cameras.
@@AndyLSB dude you know I’m not gonna say you shouldn’t 😉
@@Ansonandco lol yeah I know hahaha 👌🏻😂
👏🏻
Does it still not have 4k60? If so i dont see any reason to buy it. The basics have to be covered
I wanna rent this camera for RUclips views.
That’s how I feel about lumix cameras now lol
Самое главное ее достоинство это цвет. Более корректный по сравнению с фп.
No lens included with camera, pass
BHphoto blowing these out at $1699. Yes the new L.
REALLY? I just looked they are still 2499… I think you may be seeing the original FP
@@Ansonandco - nope. It's even out of stock now because of the fire sale
@@AllisonRoadWest you sure it’s B&H, I literally have the page pulled up right now and it definitely says $2499. Maybe it was on sale, but definitely is not any longer
@@Ansonandco - yes you missed the sale correct.
Dont buy camera .this cam's color profile worst .don't waste ur money
Personal preference?
so much vignetting... every photo is laden with vignetting.... is that intentional?
Dumb
sad day. whomp whomp
…and the months later two hour video “why I sold the fpl”.
youtubers are such a joke, jfc.
Never worth the money just a expensive gimmick
This camera or blackmagic 6k pro? To many cameras these days 🫠
What are you shooting?
