Everyone wants to talk about Josh, and for good reason. But credit where credit is due - this band is tremendous. Everyone is clearly very musically talented and their style is rooted in what they've learned listening to some of the greatest musicians of the 20th century. This is the most refreshing band I've heard in years...possibly my adult life.

i wouldnt say the most "refreshing" in the last years. Greta is one of my favourite bands actually, but they aren't very different as other bands in this years... Yeah they have a very nice sound but this is not new.

I too can feel the strain he has in singing so high all the time. His voice is incredible, but like a human it gets really tired. None of us want to see him lose his voice.

The harmonies and Josh’s lead vocals are so heartfelt and beautiful. This band has restored my faith in rock and roll. I also saw them in concert and they are spot on.

To all the people saying Josh sounds like Robert plant, I don't think that you realize how much your actually giving him a huge complement here . To all of you saying Josh is just a cheap rip off. I think you're actually insulting Robert Plant by saying his way of singing is easy to rip off, as if it was cheap and a common thing to do. Which neither are true. You can't have it both ways. Nobody can just learn to sing like that, either you're born with it or you're not. I also hear all kinds of influences here, musically and vocally. Honestly, I don't think people hear how stupid they sound sometimes. The jealous and insecure will always hate the success of others, despite rational thought.
A lot of people have tried to sing like Robert Plant, but none have been successful.
Josh still has a way to go, but he's good.

Man, so refreshing to hear this, something entirely different yet strikingly familiar. They are their own band and use their influences to create the sound that we get to hear, his voice is an instrument in itself.

Y'know ... It took me practically forever to figure out the brothers ethnic background because it's quite evident that they're not of strictly Caucasian descent. I found that they're of mixed descent. Native American ( Indian ) being highly prevalent in their genealogy.

no matter what most of you people say, i haven't heard a new song that gives me the chills for a long long time. Great songwriting, pure rock, and most of all a great tune.
Being a long-time listener of rock, watching the last gasp of pure rock (grunge) in the nineties was disheartening because I thought we were witnessing the rebirth of great music. But the timing was wrong; the corporate machine ruining everything. Many (myself included) were soured on what became of the art of rock and roll. I thought it was dead forever, but I was wrong! GVF is here, and not a moment too soon. We've missed this passion, this sweetness, this BADASSNESS. Stay healthy, stay focused, stay true. You're amazing. I'm excited for what's coming next from you guys!!
you must not be listening to much rock since the 90's then lots of great music out there.
May I suggest other great rock and roll bands active today. Rock and Roll is pretty much alive, just not on the spotlight. This list not necessarily on any particular order are, I will put a recommended song next to it: Rival Sons (Soul) , Alter Bridge (Find the Real), Airbourne (Diamond in the Rough) , Monster Truck (Old Train). This are original bands but there are several of the legendary bands and rockers doing music, such as: Deep Purple(All I got is you) , Slash(The Unholy), Mr. Big(Defying Gravity), Steelheart(Got Me Running), Glenn Hughes(All Falls Down), Michael Kiske (Streets of Fire) to name a few. There is also the Metal scene which is stronger than ever, if you want metal with passion and not necessarily heavy: there is Ayreon(The Day the World Breaks Down), Haken (Cockroach King), Adagio (Promises).

I love Josh's free spirit when singing, he has a great individual voice with a massive vocal range.

The voice can’t get any closer to Plant’s or it would be himself. The melodies, the cadence and even the body language of the vocalist, the way he stands, the way he holds the mic and the cord, the way he moves his hands, it is 100% Plant. The sound of the band is also from that era, although one can hear other bands there, not just Zeppelin. They even have that 70’s raw and not-so-tight live sound. Anyone denying the similarity to Zeppelin is crazy.
With that said, this song is phenomenal and the vocalist is consistent, and very good. They are a legit band and hopefully they can write more good songs and live up to the expectations.

Seems everyone is comparing them to Zepplin. Maybe compare them to their own stuff on the originals. So Zepplin had a huge influence because of their parents. I think their originals are good. With BLS you hear a serious OZZY influence in Wylde's vocals, but no one bashing him. Haters going to hate, these kids are a breath of fresh music, for us.

Renee I would take it as a compliment, I personally compared the lead singer to a young Robert Plant due to the strength and power of his voice!😀, but I agree they definitely have their own sound going on. And hey Stone Temple Pilots were compared to pearl jam. I'll definitely be turning people on to this band, remember it was word of mouth that made led Zep huge and talent of course. Let's hope that happens to these young talented men😉
+ Robert I know an FM radio DJ and ran into him one night after I'd walked into my local watering hole to pick up a 30 pack of beer and asked him if he'd heard of Greta Van Fleet yet and he said no. I told him how good I thought they were and he said he " might check them out ". Not liking hearing those words I thought to myself " No, there is no ' might ' check them out, you WILL !!! check them out. So I broke out my phone and brought up GVF's Highway Tune and let him listen in. As soon as the vocals broke in his eyes popped wide open and soon after I saw the guy working the cash register come walking over to listen too. The cashier chimed in with " Holy crap, that sounds similar to Zeppelin, but different. Who is that ?? ". Told him Greta Van Fleet and he nodded and stated that he'd have to remember that name. As I was leaving, the DJ ( who was half lit ) asked me the name of the band again. I told him once again and he stated that he might soon give them some airplay on their station. Sure enough, 2 days later I was tuned into the station on my way to a work site and Highway Tune comes on. Kewl !!! + Micheal Those are generic hand movements exclusive to no one individual. I've seen Freddie Mercury, David Coverdale, Ronnie James Dio, Roger Daltrey, etc., utilize(d) the same exact types of hand gestures.
