I just got this class and found out if you get the upgraded remedy arrow, recovery arrow you can heal yourself by getting near your pawns as it a aoe a really close aoe. (Edit) You can shoot the ground to heal yourself as well.
So glad you made this video. I went back and forth on my main pawn mage or fighter. I finally just went with mage for the heal support. Hoping to find a decent fighter pawn for my party. In my game all these early fighters have inclinations that just suck to me. Trying to get the one where they rush in to attack but the game just doesn't want to give me one so far. Other than that I'm having fun. I heard someone ran into the area where the gate is to the south and got to the quest where you can pick up Magic Archer. He waited for the gate to open then rushed past everything. The way the game works however doesn't make this easy so I don't think I'll try it. What i was really looking forward to in this game was the new trickster class, which i set out to do asap at a relatively low level, started using it and got the hang of its utility. After some time, i started feeling like fights were taking too long so I switched back to sorc only to realize how much trickster started carrying me for hours prior. Being able to effectively break the ai is huge and shouldn't be understated. At least not until you get to the point where youre such a high level for an area that theres no need. I recommend anyone going for trickster to get the augments from magick archer that buff your pawns.

The fire arrow is super OP for normal mobs and bosses (except dragons). it is actually a one skill rules all. From what I remember from the first game the magick archer has both physical and magic damage. They seem to have removed the daggers though. Also yes ricochet arrow is a blast in tight spaces. Try pairing with a sorcerer using only Augural Flare.
Warfarer mixing Magic Archer and Mystic Spearhand is amazing. You can even drop the bubble spell, i just mained Telekinesis to clear trash that is too short for comfort, and rely on duo spear core skills, with two MA skills to cull the numbers from afar before finishing up close
I love this vocation. It's my favorite in DD1. I beat Grigori as the Assassin class only because I didn't know if the magic bows would use the one hit kill arrow. The sword and bow I got are hecka OP though. Brought me up over 1k attack
Your bow isn't as good as you think. The mobs you merely disrupt with Flamefang Arrow are killed outright by Dragon's Breath with one Elven enhancement (no mats required). There's no excuse for not having it because you can get it from the people who unlock MA for you. Always be on the lookout to see mobs before they see you, and have a tank Pawn with good agro to group them up if you get ambushed. Flamefang the mobs. Your party will rarely need to fight mobs. This is one of the best ways I've found to conserve Stamina on MA.
Gonna need some advice for Warfarer. Cycling between three weapons in the middle of combat feels unwieldy and mostly pointless. Could use some examples of combinations that work well together. Best I've managed is to just use duo-spear and magick bow, effectively playing as a Mystic Spearhand who can spray seeker arrows at range.
I would suggest Wayfarer then as you can dual spec. From watching tons of videos and preparing to play: If you aren’t interested in hybrid heal/damage you’re probably not going to have a lot of fun with this class.
I really wanna see how you Build and Explain the Warfarer because i got that an hour ago and was mad...but as i played it i realize having access to only 3 weapon skills and 9 weapons 🤔 was weird... Then i realized if i can equip 3 op hard hitting Maisters skills Heavenly shot for all things Marty's Bolt for if things get nasty and Mystic spear Maisters skill then just using the Core skills from other weapons might be doable. It might not be so so bad but still the class is far from wat i expected or wanted outta it still kinda hot about that and one of your skill slots is taken up by the skill to swap your weapons in Warfarer its awkward tbh.
@TheJeffSux it hits the same target over and over again causing passive damage over time so if u spam it you can take down a lot of health in a span of several seconds

Thanks doe the guides! Your videos are great! Are you gonna do one about stats progression eventually? If the mechanics are like on dd1 then I guess it matters which vocations you level up as in order to shaper the characters stats properly
One side note on the guided fire arrow, you can hit the cancel button and it will continue on whatever path you set it on. Gives you freedom to fire off another skill or move
"Pinpoint" is pretty misleading, since it's actually a spread. Also, do they even use Strength in this? I can't think of any skills other than Hailstone in this, and *possibly* Blaze fang since it explodes, but they seem to do better if you just focus on magic damage like in the original. Also, I know it's just a personal preference, but Candescent Orb is the first skill to drop as soon as Flamefang/Blazefang becomes available. Damage over time doesn't matter in this if the total damage is much less than what you can burst in a shorter period, and you can start the encounter with a targeted explosion to the face. The generally most useful MA skills are Ricochet, Flamefang (scouting, killing groups outside before they even engage, head shots...it's basically a guided missile), Frost Seeker (for freezing) and Sagitate.
I've switched from a max level archer to this and I'm sad I don't enjoy it. I think the archer has got a bad rap, it's a really mobile and fun class to play when you get the hang of it. But you lose all that mobility with magic archer, which is more of a stand back and fire role. And though you might fire multiple homing projectiles, it is slower to charge. So i think this might suit someone coming from mage or sorcerer rather than an agile archer.
By the time I got access to the region I kind of got swept up in the quest and didn't get a chance to access the area. Now I've sort of missed the chance.
After unlocking this vocation i seen that people are ranking up sorcerer and mage vocations to get the augments because they benefit the mag archer vocation. So i i tried to level up sorcerer and i have to say it is a god awful class. I wish you could get augments another way

150 levels of Magick Archer in the first game but in DD2 I find MA difficult to play. The good Skills use huge Stamina and are frustratingly slow to charge. I'm relegated to spamming Rivet Shot while my Sorcerer Pawn with cast speed Rings fairly quickly charges up a Meister Skill and one shots most bosses.
the drawback to magic archer is you can't kill golems. you can't damage them. you might tickle a medal with the ice cube arrow but nothing else will do damage. which is weird, since sorc's meteor and maelstrom do. frosthunter bolt is your best ability against dragons or anything that is not heavily resistant to cold. it does MASSIVE damage to dragon hearts especially when combined with weak spot and elemental weakness exploit augments.
I love the guide, however you didn't mention the most broken skill in the game - Sagittate Avalanche, which you get on higher levels of the Vocation. This thing just shreds bosses like nothing in the game!
Ngl, majorly disappointed with Vimtaking Arrow. For the longest time, I thought it would apply a buff to Pawns that would basically heal them as they did damage to enemies. So the fact that it's basically Recovery Bolt without the revive is a major kick in the nuts, especially since it ruins the potential for a Warfarer to use the Trickster skill that buffs Pawn damage at the cost of slowly draining their health and combine it with what would have been a way to offset that health loss by letting buffed Pawns heal themselves with that stronger damage
The last mission for magic archer bugged for me. The person you need to escort vanished mid mission and isn’t at the home or end spot. Someone please help 😅🙃
I went way out my way to get this and after playing with for a little while I just don’t like it, I was playing arecher before so I thought it would be good to play this but nope once I get the augment that restores stamina I will go back to archer

One important aspect of Dragon's Dogma is that you could stick to a vocation for the entire game if you wanted, but you can use augments from other vocations. For my Spearhand build, I am tempted to max out Thief and Sorcerer in order to get their Strength and Magick boosting augments, but I do not know what is the boost and thus if it's worth it. As you have somehow managed to max out all the vocations (well done btw), could you please make a video with the numerical increases of the augments?

I have problem with my "charged" kills, like arctic bolt. They wont charge at all, they just fire off instantly.
So rivet shot and pinpoint Valley or abilities that you have to select under the core skills otherwise you won’t have them?
Ngl, majorly disappointed with Vimtaking Arrow. For the longest time, I thought it would apply a buff to Pawns that would basically heal them as they did damage to enemies.
So the fact that it's basically Recovery Bolt without the revive is a major kick in the nuts, especially since it ruins the potential for a Warfarer to use the Trickster skill that buffs Pawn damage at the cost of slowly draining their health and combine it with what would have been a way to offset that health loss by letting buffed Pawns heal themselves with that stronger damage
I finished unlocking magic archer, but she didn't give me the master skill scroll, instead she talks about another quest i got in the elf village
The last mission for magic archer bugged for me. The person you need to escort vanished mid mission and isn’t at the home or end spot. Someone please help 😅🙃
Me too
But for me he died
@@Skewguard same. I eventually found him at the morgue and used a wake stone to continue the mission
He went home for me
I can't wait to see a warfarer
Who gives the Rings ? Ring of Quickening and the Ring of Percience
I find it awkward holding R1/RB and Y to charge while also moving the camera. Is there a trick to it? Aside from having more fingers.
I went way out my way to get this and after playing with for a little while I just don’t like it, I was playing arecher before so I thought it would be good to play this but nope once I get the augment that restores stamina I will go back to archer
Is there a good Archer Amor set ? Or just anything... i get that u have too get a bow with high stats but i dont know which amor items i should use.
P.s isnt the bow for 48k in the elve village better in dps than the one u use ?
Are you releasing a trickster guide ??
Should be today.
Do you still get the kicks?
huh so flame fang arrow works just like ivara navagators skill in warframe
Soo. Im new to this. Do we had to max leveled the archer vocation first? Or mystic archer is completely different vocation?
It’s a different vocation you unlock through a quest. Details are on the wiki
I’m interested in this kind of build but should I play as mage first or archer
Archer is so fun. The movement is probably my fav.
How do you use your entire health for Martyr’s Bolt? Every time I try it uses maybe quarter to third of health or is it just a spam ability?
I got to the spring and his wife gave me vocation but no special ability... talked to her alot but she just went away. I slept at an inn and went to her house she gave me another quest to escort her to bak battahl... help i need the ability
Question: i played this class earlier today, draw speed to max stacks was rather quick, but then a few hours later, all of a sudden draw speed was like watching paint dry. Does anyone know why? It feels super sluggish now. Is it lvl or weight related? It just happened so sudden. Scope got bigger too, so hard to aim all shots at weakspots
Critical hit when the enemy going down how work with archer? With any weapon is hiting the head with the sword but with bow?
I think it’s a super buzzkill they didnt take the skills hunter shot and sixfold shot from the 1st one and add those into the sequel
So there’s no kicking for magic archers like the normal archer ? Dang
Can you sub class magic archer and mage? Is that viable?
The husband died on my escort quest but it hasn't failed the quest not sure if I'm locked out or not
You can revive using a wakestone, just find the corpse
The mpc die in the quest and i can't find the body 😢
Try the morgue
Where i can get the equipment?
You get basic equipment when you change to the vocation, and then you can buy more in stores
Are you starting off as a mage or a archer to get this?
No matters, you can start with any class and get the magic archer during the game
Would it be beneficial to run mage/sorcerer first to level up your magic?
Not needed in dd2. Your stats change depending on your class, so you will always be "min/maxed"
@@JDyo001 thank you
Can you makd a guide about Dragonsplague??
Is there a way to get a pawn archer to use crafted arrows? I always keep them in their inventory but they never get used
They need to have a skill that uses the special arrows
Hi, I leveled up this archer, he doesn’t level up anymore, but skill martyr's bolt is missing
Is it Archer or Magic Archer? As last I heard you get both at the same time. Although Martyr's bolt is given as a item
How do you switch between pivot shot and pinpoint volly is it a skill you unlock or what button on on ps5mm
WHAT DOES THE CLASS ABILITY DO??!
“Conversion” what does it do!?
