When timed right, the shoulder tackle will also negate most damage. For example, when a drake does its slam down attack, if you shoulder tackle right as it hits, you'll take almost no damage and won't be knocked down. For chain of blows, push the button right when the weapon swing sound effect ends. Much easier than trying to time it visually, especially when you get one of those slow motion effect hits, which can throw you off.

Bought for my Ps5. Going to buy for my Xbox as well but I will recommend people to start with ranged classes. Warrior is just not as fun as the other classes, it's slow and very very repetitive in attacks. A thief is definitely the ultimate experience in Dragons Dogma since the first, plus the dmg. ANY charged attack? Is it JUST charged abilities? Is it JUST charged heavensward sunder or is it just a regular charged attack that, when you pull it off, the animation changes to something akin to sunder?
Thief is essentially a very agile glass cannon vocation. It's all about pure damage output and zipping around the battlefield while pinning down and eliminating goblins as efficiently as possible.
@@Fextralife Awesome, that makes me more excited. I think I will wait until all the bug fixes are handled but knowing they did a good job with the class I always tend to start with in games like this makes me happy.

Generally needs a fighter or warrior(archer or sorcerer also useful) to bring the knockdown power so the Thief can shred the weakspot(downed enemies take more damage, so climbing to hit their head is good but knocking them down is better).
The timing of chain of blows isnt near the end of the swing, it's as soon as the weapon connects with the target. Idk why nobody seems to know this. But if you time it correctly after the swing connects you attack a LOT faster than what you see most people doing.
Man this is the kinda warrior gameplay I've always wanted I hear you can't make a new character without paying for it but true or not if that's the warrior I won't need to worry about it 🤣
Two-handed swords being super-slow and used like a baseball bat is the trope that just won't die. A two-handed sword, used by an expert, is faster than a rapier. and is just as much of a precision weapon.
I'm only a few hours into the game and loving it. I'm on PS5 and no performance issues at all. I can see if you are playing on an old computer but this is a modern game and needs power. What do people expect? And Micro transactions? Who cares? I would not even know they are there if I did not read about them...this game is unique. Lots of effort was put into the environment, the look is great, the feel of game play is top notch and we get a vast open world to explore. What is not to love? People are angry these days and feel stressed with money problems and just want to lash out at something. Unfortunate. Regardless, I'm playing, loving it and could be game of the year. Not many games suck me in like this.
Which is more valuable here by the end? Knockback resistance or stamina regen? 🤔 I definitely like the idea of sprinting A LOT while drawing aggro with my main character, and if small arisen can run between big monster legs, I'm really leaning towards running a Short King warrior on my first playthrough
Ok so I'm loving this game but..... I sold the sword not thinking about it and couldn't buy it back. Had to restart from the inn and do the whole quest again. Kind of frustrating but it's my own fault. Live and learn!
Capcom mentioned a patch soon. Honestly, I have seen only a few frame rate drops and it didn’t impact my experience at all. Only a few hours in but I am loving this game. I’m on PC with a 3080 card.
@@michael76132 I'm just below the recommended specs, w/ 2060, my OS is pretty new, reformatted @16gb and I'm not even reaching 40fps while other games like lies of P, BG3 WHRT, i'm gettingb 80+fps on high-ultra settings so it is a bummer.
Is the ultimate attack worth using? i just got the scroll that unlocks it but it seems that not only is the charge time like 10 seconds but it fully drains your stamina and make you stunned for another 3-5 seconds after that. Not sure if that is worth the tradeoff.
It’s only good for when a monster is knocked down really, since that way you can get the full charge off on a weak spot. When you do pull it off that way, it does massive damage. Your only issue then is you’ll be completely out of stamina, but you can call a pawn to assist by touching you to help you recover faster
I gotta say, I'm kinda torn between which warrior is better, DD1 or DD2. I realize very well DD2 warrior had much more thought put into it, and it borrows heavily from the already tested monster hunter greatsword playstyle. BUT... i don't know, I just had much more fun the first time around. DD1 warrior was much more nimble and manouvreable, and I realize this wasn't intentional since the devs didn't intend for the jumping light attack to be sooo good, plus the skills were more varied in terms of their utility. Playing DD1 felt more skillful even if you spammed the jumping light attack most of the time, since you were constantly repositioning yourself and seeking different angles to attack; in DD2 most of the time i feel like im staying in the same position waiting for my attack to finish charging and deal damage, more than a deadly tool i feel like a lump of iron. I suppose at least this time around we have more defensive options, which were a big downside of the original warrior. I was also hoping we would get to equip 8 skills like the other vocations instead of 4 (also a major gripe in DD1), but instead of buffing warriors that way they decided to restrict the rest of the vocations to 4 skills lol, I'll never understand that decision.
Just a thought: Can you please demonstrate your videos in the lower level areas with lower level enemies so that they are not spoiled for people not there yet.

I've maxed out all except warrior it's gunna be my last one because it's the strongest 💪 but seeing this I can't wait now
Any idea which abilities have the shortest time to charge? Would be good to know for making the most of Repulse
What was the skill being used at 9:26, is that an upgrade to Barge?
Goring lunge or the upgraded version i guess.
Man this is the kinda warrior gameplay I've always wanted I hear you can't make a new character without paying for it but true or not if that's the warrior I won't need to worry about it 🤣
Would you recommend you and your main pawn as a warrior class together?
Game is great poorly optimized. I have a 4070 series gpu and ryzen 5600x and car barely eke out 60 fps and it’s not stable.
Hey whats the loss gage? There an augment that less the consumption of the loss gage?
Which is more valuable here by the end? Knockback resistance or stamina regen? 🤔
I definitely like the idea of sprinting A LOT while drawing aggro with my main character, and if small arisen can run between big monster legs, I'm really leaning towards running a Short King warrior on my first playthrough
Im super triggered, you can make a fighter under 6 feet and not be a shortking, just a regular sized king.
@@pokemonfan2630 Got to be much less than 6 ft tall to run between troll legs tho
Sold both of these weapons by mistake can these be bought elsewhere ?
Ok so I'm loving this game but..... I sold the sword not thinking about it and couldn't buy it back. Had to restart from the inn and do the whole quest again. Kind of frustrating but it's my own fault. Live and learn!
Never sell anything! xD
You can buy greatswords and archistaffs in checkpoint village.
Any news on the update about performance?
Your only issue then is you’ll be completely out of stamina, but you can call a pawn to assist by touching you to help you recover faster
hope this game gets more vocations
Whats your vocation tier list ?
You want the first 2 or 3 augments from fighter, fill the rest with the best warrior augments for damage.
do warrior pawns even make use of Tidal Fury?
Is the fire on the greatsword just from a mage buff or another way?
Yes, it's a Mage magic. It can imbue weapons with Fire, Glacial and Lightning power.
Where do you get the indomitable armor? It doesn’t say on your wiki
Still adding info to wiki, if you find something not there please add it
Does arc of might have advanced version Wich is arc of deliverance?
we can make guts from berserk in dd 2 xD for warrior class
I was a little bit shocked when I first played it its really really slow
Can i also add warrior is the best looking class in the game 😮 that sword is just awesome 🤩
0:24 what? 5 or 10 hours? I got it within the first 2 hours max.
Do any of my warrior bros know if you can get Beren's sword? That was my favorite sword from DD1, and I want to use it 😢
Just do his quest
@kimashitawa8113 I did his quest and I didn't get his sword
@@jadenthomas5261 Weird, i just did it half an hour ago and got it. Do you have his Maister skill then?
@kimashitawa8113 Yes I do, the sword he gives you isn't the Saving Grace it's the Lifetaker. I want the sword he has on his back.
@@jadenthomas5261 Oh my mistake then, i don't know if you can get that one.
Guts, welcome to dragon's dogma 😂
hopefully warrior is more balanced in this game compared to the first
I gotta say, I'm kinda torn between which warrior is better, DD1 or DD2.
It's a good thought. But I can't de-level my character, and there is only one save slot without loosing all my progress...
Indomitable slash makes tons of damage
