Pacino and DeNiro were at the top of their game in this film, but let's not forget the riveting performances of the supporting cast in Tom Sizemore, Val Kilmer, as well as Ted Levine, Kevin Gage, and William Fichtner. The casting and performances of these actors was flawless.
👍🏼👌🏼
And danny trejo
And Wes Studi and Hank Azaria
And Jon Voight and Ashley Judd and Natalie Portman. What a cast man!!
Machete
The ending when Pacino is holding Deniro’s hand as he passes with the synthesizer score is one of the most emotionally beautiful scenes in movie history in my opinion. No eyes dry!
100% agree. cant put it into words how good it was.
@@yeanah716 I just purchased the book Heat 2. 🔥
@@mardoggyo6712 how was it?
Miami vice style
@@mardoggyo6712 Wow, I had no idea about this! Thank you for mentioning! I’ll probably pick up a copy.
Heat is my favorite movie. What a masterpiece!
My favorite movie as well!!!!
I freaking LOVE Heat!
HEAT 💯
It is special like De Niro says…
Couldn’t agree more. Heat is easily one of my very top favorites and IMHO one of the finest films in cinema history, certainly of its genre
It's not a masterpiece of the 90s. It's just a masterpiece
let me add, Of all time, Godfather 2 is a bonus
It baffles me that people say Pacino “aged badly”...
He’s like the coolest 80 year old ever!
I agree. He looks great for 82!!! Still very handsome
Don't worry. They're only stinky trolls that say that. MANY MANY people still think he's attractive.
Yeah, for a guy who was an alcoholic and smoked 2 packs a day he looks actually great
@@Lushy260 so what? It can still affect your health and appearance
@@Chinaski1 *actually looks
To think that both of these legendary actors were in their 50’s when the movie was shot and released to now Pacino being 82 and De Niro being 78….standing ovation.👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
00
I didn't even realize they were that old but in hindsight they do look that age
I can watch this movie 100 times & I will never get bored of watching it. To my Paisanos 👍🇮🇹
One of the best films of the 90’s. One of my favorite films of all time. Two of the best actors in the film industry.
That final scene when he offers him his hand is epic.
I just watched it. That ending was so good 😭
Just watched it for the first time today.
@@SunlightGwynme too Just now, beatiful
Heat is not just a masterpiece it’s a classic movie of seeing two legends working together for the first time
They both were in The Godfather 2 but they didn't have any scenes together.
So yeah, Heat is the first movie with them on screen together
And it's a great movie overall
One of My Dads and I's Favorite films of these two
RIP In Dad 04/13/54-04/24/23
This film is an absolute masterpiece. There is not one weak scene, not one weak actor. They are all amazing. Robert de Niro and Al Pacino at their best! The music, LA all plays a part. There are scenes in the film that give me shivers, the car scene before the coffee scene, Robert de Niro's slight smile in the car with his girlfriend when he things he's finally turning his back on it all and the end scene. Amazing ! It's a film I personally have to watch at least once every 6 months 😂
This movie has a special place in my heart.
Heat is my favorite movie of all time. It's brilliant.
Same here, it’s utterly brilliant
Man, these two dudes are legends. May God keep them healthy. They are national treasures!
Collateral and Public Enemies were legendary films as well. Michael Mann we need you back in cinema.
The Insider is a great movie too
Yes yes we do anything by Mann is good we can’t for the Miami vice series
He’s working on a car film
Atm
Easily in my top 10 films of all time. Great story, great writing, amazing ensemble cast, the most epic shootout in film history.
This movie changed the way I look at movies. These two guys are just incredible together
Bless Pacino. What a sweetheart and GOAT actor he is.
Al is a sweetheart
@@Lushy260 He's such a good man. Not many like him in Hollywood anymore.
I love him ❤
One of my favorite movies ever!!!! The line when DeNiro says, “…cause there’s a dead man at the end of this f**k** line” is one of my favorite scenes in the movie!!!! Honestly, to think if Pacino played the master thief and DeNiro played the manic cop, the movie would’ve STILL been legendary.
This movie cinematography, wardrobe, etc feels like a 2010 film set in the 90’s
Watching that scene between them in the caffe gives me the chills every single time I love it
The coffee shop scene between Al and Robert was my favorite scene in the movie
Waingro is underrated. No one remembers his name but once you mention his name everyone knows who you’re talking about. Just like Hans Gruber.
One of the greatest duo in Hollywood......& I love heat movie 🎬
Heat is a masterpiece. It’s stunning to me that it didn’t get Oscar consideration for Best Picture.
I had my wife watch Heat with me recently, I wanted to see how it stacked up to someone who had no idea of the movie, it 100% held its own.
One of the greatest films of all time
When I watched heat in the cinema in 1995 it changed how I looked at films for ever I still remember coming out the cinema amazed overwhelmed
This film was so amazing! Both Pacino and De Niro were tailor made for their roles! This film and the two leads should've received Academy Award nominations for the both of their work.
My mother and stepfather took me to see this movie in the theater when I was 12 years old glad they did
Heat is such an underrated movie. Is in my top 25 best films I’ve seen. Especially that theses two legendary actors weren’t together on screen for Godfather 2 but were in Heat for the diner scene and those 10 minutes were enough and great.
Glad you mentioned The Godfather 2. The way it was said it sounded as if they were never in the same movie. I was thinking wait a minute what about The Godfather 2 , but like you said they weren't actually on screen together.
If you haven't seem this masterpiece do yourself a favor and watch it. One of the best action movies ever made 👌🏽
I love them both so much I can't imagine cinema without them one day
Just bought the Audiobook “Heat 2 1988-2000” and it’s so great to relive these characters
how is it ?
I didn't realize that Pacino was actually older than DeNiro. He's 82 and DeNiro is 78.
My favorite two actors, I wish Kilmer in this as well. I remember waiting for months too see it & I wasn’t disappointed
My two favorite actors in this perfect film. Literally Master Class movie making!!!
No director/actors can make a masterpiece like this....ever
A masterpiece of the 1990's that will remain a masterpiece till the end of time . . . .
The movie is legendary. Two of the best actor’s pf all times.
Forever a classic movie
Actors talking about their moments leading up to filming is so poetic and thought through, they speak about acting like it’s algebra it’s so good
An all-star cast! Heat is one of the best movies, I've ever seen! It stands out. Not just because Pacino and De Niro are in it. I love the story between the cop and the criminal!
heat is the #1 movie in my books, it's phenomenal. the music put it over the top, incredible.
We need to get a 4K scan, remaster of L.A. Takedown on Blu-ray - it's like a genius demo/alternate take to a hit song. And The Keep. Please Michael Mann. Thank you.
Two of the greatest actors ever seen x
DeNiro in this movie was phenomenol
One of the best movies ever made - faultless.
De niro looked really iconic in the movie heat
Great great movie. It’s on both the IMDb Top 250 and the Letterboxd Top 250, a hallmark of a legendary movie
Masterpiece of the 1990's, Masterpiece ALL TIME EVER
Heat is my #1 Greatest favorite movie 💪🔥💥💙
Me as well. Heat and The Dark Knight.
Great movie 🎦
Great interview, they still look great
Iconic. They don't make movies like this anymore.
Very underrated movie imo. This movie really is one of the best movies of all time in this genre.
This was such a satisfying watch when it came out. The film transcended the heist genre, so many memorable characters, the soundtrack and tone set by it were perfect.
Al Pacino is such a sweetheart, I love him, my favorite actor ❤
Heat is without a doubt Pacino/De Niro’s magnum opus. Yes, better than Godfather 2 and Irishman! That diner scene was superb cinema history!!
I love how heat is a recognizable art vehicle for Mann, it has his stamp all over it, yet as a story it stands on its own.
IMHO, M. Mann is so good, and Heat is such a masterpiece. I have probably watched it 50 times.
"Guy told me one time..don't let yourself get too attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you feel the heat around the corner"
That was Jimmy McElwain on the yard…. 😄
This movie is so iconic every actor fit there character 👌.....I can never watch it enuff ...& some classics just cant be remade this is one of them....Heat is Awesome came out in 95 but never seems to age for nothing ....
One of the greatest films ever made Heat.
Movie masterpiece ❤️
FUN FACT: Nolan's The Dark Knight is inspired by Heat.
One of my favorite films of my life. A real masterpiece by Michael Mann with the best actors and an incomparable soundtrack.
Unforgettable!!
Masterpiece who will last forever
I HAD COFFEE WITH McCAULEY HALF AN HOUR AGO !!!!
I think, lowkey, this is my favorite Pacino Deniro film. I say lowkey because I don't know anyone that knows this movie. It's a sleeper film to most, but really it's a freaking triumph.
Heat is a great movie...nice teaser for what looks like an awesome interview! I saw Heat with my parents, back in the VHS days. Excellent, excellent film.
I so love this movie!! I watch it every nite I dont know when I'll stop
Heat, the best movie ever!
Two words: Criminally Underrated!!!
HEAT was made at the perfect time, not too old, not too young, both were in their 50's.
Heat excellent & the cast a perfect film .
Correction: It's not a masterpiece of the 1990s. It's just a masterpiece.
This movie changed my life.
They have the perfect roles!!!
A masterpiece.
Heat was essentially 90s Miami Vice. And it makes since the director made both.
80s Thief , the inflection in the voices especially DeNiro , James Caan in Thief , both movies written and directed By Michael Mann
de niro of course best actor
Al Pacino and Robert De Niro were in the Godfather II together, though their characters were set in different timelines, thus one could teeeeeechnically say that “they weren’t onscreen together” prior to Heat.
agree 100%
The sound of this movie is just so real and amazing.
Oh my goodness, one of the very finest films ever!
Don't forget about Val Kilmer and Tom Sizemore!
A masterpiece and the music throughout the movie is incredible.
This is a perfect movie.
one of the first dvds I ever owned. top 5 fave movie.
I remember when Entertainment Weekly had Heat in its Fall Preview issue, "Michael Corleone versus Raging Bull and Batman? We're in line already!"
Great casting overall, too. Lots of familiar faces.
Thank you for commenting on my partnership RUclips account. I so appreciate for your love and support towards my career and o hope you don’t stop watching my movies? Thanks
Lets not forget the brilliant performances from Kilmer and Sizemore.
One of the greatest movies of all time and if u have HBO max it's on there as well
My 2 favorites. I loved Heat but I was young when I watched it and I found the final scenes sad. Haha. Great work guys! ❤
My favorite film of all time.
Correction: McCauley is not a "crook", he is a professional, who takes down scores.
That gunfight sequence in streets of LA
There is A LOT MORE to Heat than just Al Pacino and Robert De Niro finally coming together. Heat is really about the genius of Michael Mann. It’s a culmination of his work in reality based crime drama. His movies haven’t been the same since. It really was the last great film he made or ever will make.
HEAT is his apotheosis, but both THE INSIDER and COLLATERAL are masterful.
Collateral is a masterpiece too. Tom Cruise’s Vincent in that film is one of the best villains in cinema, up there with Hanz Gruber and Clarence Bodiker
Heat is my favorites al Pacino movies of 1995
It’s a classic!!!❤❤❤
