I have a ar192. I know you got water over the bow when you cut the throttle in that chop. I know because I've done it too. Best bet is to stay under power and have all passengers move back to the cockpit to maintain a bow up attitude.
I’d think filling the ballast tanks would help to bring the nose up. I’m not sure if these have trim tabs as it rides shallow. the nose really dug in on that last wave you can tell big time throttle down.
LOL oh man I cant decide whats worse that the kids are in the front or that one doesn't have a life jacket on or hearing the kids scream at the 25 second mark STOP PAPA STOP PAPA!
I would never put kids in the bow of a boat that size. Maybe wouldve picked a better day to go out too. Ive seen some 19’ yamaha owners do the bimini crossing just fine, but in near perfect conditions.
+ctsgtp It's a jet boat. There isn't trim. Only way to keep the bow up is to throttle up. Once you're in a rough inlet like that you have to just power through.
I know nothing about boating except that after jet skiing with my wife while on vacation in Cancun is I want one! Now I've been researching and I've read a couple times that the bow seats are dangerous especially for kids and now I see why! Im sure if I was one of those kids i'd think my dad was the coolest tho!!! LOL Now like I said before I don't know much so I have question. Would a deeper V Hull cut through that chop easier without all the slapping when it comes back down? Also it looked like he lost power or something towards the end but I could be wrong?
Think of a hull like a knife or a hammer, which will cut an apple more clean? A boat with a deep v will be better in waves or rough water. It also depends on what the boat is for. Hope that helped.
TheHonarable1 I have one of these and if you constantly adjust the power and monitor the water they will do just fine. My kids love riding in the bow and for them the more it bounces around the better they like it. They always have life vest on and I don't let it get too crazy, just enough for them to have fun.
Ken Marguet I'm interested in this jet boat with the deep v hull, and would use it in New York harbor, based on your experience do you think it'd be beaten up real bad in choppy water? I'm trying to judge inboard propeller vs jet boat
I love the boat when its smooth, when it gets choppy it comes out of the water quite a bit, when it gets rough we dont go out. If the water is 2 foot or more its just not that much fun, you spend most of your time trying to time the power on and off with the waves. The boat is very light and rids high on the water, I think my draft is 1.5 feet so you dont cut through the waves like you would with a larger heavier boat. Im not familiar with New York Harbor so I hope my info helps you.
Handles like a champ; thinking about buying one.

I have FSH 190. New to boating, is this only by inland? Or its once u leave to open water?
Terrible driving, but the boat handled those waves pretty damn well. I'm impressed.

Some people should never own a boat, some never have children.. Or both like this guy.
😂😂😂😂
LOL strange way to have your wake tower speakers.
Might want to think about moving the kids to the back next time...
A lot more movement up front.
Boat did pretty well I thought...

That seems comfortable...LOL
Straight out of The Finest Hours.
And thts how u crack a hull and gel coat lol
How about you go slow and keep the trim up so the bow doesn't stay down.

+TheHonarable1 Yes, deep v better. catamaran even softer ride.

Too fast for the wave. I think nextime better to slowdown than sorry. Glad went ok.
Right…like slow down ride the wave
Them little boats are better off on the lake not ocean.
Sometimes the ocean in miami is as calm as a lake. This inlet can be rough and the ocean will be relatively calm
yes they aré
looks like those kids and woman in the back were not his
Fuckin A !! Hahaha
That was dangerous. Trying to give your kid a concussion or worse? Bad idea.
Just slow tf down…
Do Americans not have any common sense?
+Bostrovas I wish they didn't , I'd have more than 2 or 3 videos like this.
What makes you think these are Americans, dickhead?
