    The upper tow point is indeed standard on the later model 275SD. I own a 2022 275SD and the entire canopy frame has been redesigned to be stronger than the previous years, allowing the addition of the tow point.

    Great presentation, thanks! The main attraction of the 27' for me is that it's yacht certified, you touched on this briefly. With kids it's easy to hit the 12 limit with lots of leftover space and weight capacity.

      Good point. I guess we really don't pay much attention to the placard on the 25 because I've always been told if you have enough life jackets on the boat for each passenger then you're legal by coast guard regs. The yacht cert. Did not really seem like a huge benefit.

      @@JetBoatPilot I've heard similar but can't find anything official. It's not clear to me if I have to meet weight and headcount so I've assumed both to be safe. Next time I'm out I'll ask them, might be worrying about headcount for nothing

    I’d love to see a 222s vs AR250/252s comparison. I’d particularly like to see the two boats with 6 adults on them. 70% of the time I’ll only have 2 adults/ 2 kids on the boat, but can see 6 adults more often than occasionally. I’m sold on avoiding the complexity of the drive system. The 222s is a really nice looking boat. But I wonder if the lack of trim options on the Ar252, are made up for with the extra space? Is it worth it to put up another $16k for the 252s?

    Thanks for the videos. Y’all been helping me. Two questions.
    I have 252sd being stored on boat slip with lift. See water accumulates there, best way to ensure rain water is properly being drained?
    I also have the Yamaha boat cover but because I store it on a boat lift there’s no way I can install it. As I only have access from one side. Any covers you suggest?

    • @JetBoatPilot
      @JetBoatPilot Год назад

      Add the snap on cover and you can install on the lift. I'd make sure that all the drain plugs inside the boat are pulled and that the lower drain plug is pulled so any water that does get on the boat drains out. Make sure that as part of your launch checklist you install the drain plug on the transom.

    Quick question and this seems the place for best answer. Looking for a boat to do bibini crossing and explore keys. Is there a marked difference in the 252s vs 252fsh safety wise as far as being able to handle waves and wake better? Thank you in advance

    • @JetBoatPilot
      @JetBoatPilot 7 месяцев назад

      Both have the same ride surface. They're different above the rub rail. I'd say the 252S will provide more protection from wave spray but will feel a bit rougher on the driver since you sit farther forward. The center console situates the driver more toward the rear so it feels like a better ride there. Also if you cross over to Bimini I'd highly suggest a Seakeeper Ride system for either boat. We sell them now and have a video out showing it in action on a 255 FSH.
