I used to go to BurgerHood all the time when I worked in Derby. For those going, I'd recommend asking for the hood special and replace the grilled chicken with fried chicked. And it's reasonably priced too.

Times where it has literally been cold cheese is when I get it from my work canteen but luckily I just chuck it in the microwave. But it being served like that defeats the purpose of cheesy chips. Like no cheesy pull on the chips and you don't get the taste of it wrapped around the chip...like come on.

I am by no means a chef or a top cook. seeing some of Danny's videos of the food is worrying. The prices are so high the salt, sugar and fat is also high. The main reason these places do so well. is that people are lazy and can't be bothered to learn how to cook or just can't cook. Also people think that crap food is good because they don't know any better. I truly appreciate the fact that I can cook. My food my cooking is far better than most takeaway places I go. Unless I'm paying big bucks for it. this place isn't so bad on price.

I just did a quick look up of the Burger Hood menu and it says they use pretzel buns for their burgers. That’s what is giving you that bit of a crunchy crust that you’re enjoying in this video. Take care Danny, cameraman and editor.😎

When did it become the norm to charge over a tenner for a burger and chips, and Danny normalises these ridiculous prices. I'd say six quid tops, leaving plenty of profit.
The cost of goods on that burger and chips will be around £4. That doesn't take into consideration the staff wages, utilities to prepare it etc. £8-9 seems reasonable for what that was.
Here's one for ya. Danny boy well worth a try. iffys, Stockton Try the kids mixed grill (adult one feeds 2) excellent quality ,sauces top notch. But stand out is Donna meat. Takes u back 30 years. Tastes like they used too. Steve
