Who's your favorite star from "The Great British Baking Show"?
Jurgen, 100%. 💚
Giuseppe, Crystelle, and Chigs are the best contestants.
@@aalicce They worked very hard to be there, they deserved to be in the final 3.
Jurgen , Giuseppe and Crystal
Briony!❤
I love that Giuseppe won but I think Jurgen clearly should have been in the finals. Was disappointed judges sent him home.
SO who would you have replaced to keep him in? All 3 finalist had stepped up their game and delivered some exquisite bakes. Jurgen started downhill after German week. Just because someone wins Star Baker 3 times doesn't mean they're the best. It takes some people a while to really get into it and gain some confidence to show just how good they are.
@@Meriale46 i really wanted to see him in the finals, but you're right, he was struggling in the later weeks and Chigs just kept getting better
They cheated Jurgen
Agreed! Giuseppe vs Jurgen would've been epic! But yeah, he kinda slipped a bit
He was great! Would love to see him and Giuseppe get their own show.
Add Chiggs in there too!
That's literally my dream. They are the best
I was happy to see Giuseppe win but the final was severely lacking without Jürgen being able to compete.
The decision to eliminate him in the semifinals seemed awkward and inexplicable and definitely left me with a bad aftertaste.
Well…the bad aftertaste for me was when Jurgen fed the judges those vegan sausage rolls that were on the floor!
Claudia you are absolutely correct. Jurgen got robbed. Paul was too concerned about how pretty the girl was. Two shows back she needed to go but he protected her above Lizzy claiming that "we have to take into consideration all of the shows to decide who needs to move forward.
Now all the sudden it is all based off of one episode. What a joke.
I'm sio happy Giuseppe won! But I still dont understand why Jurgen was eliminated. 🤨
Loved Jurgen. I wish they could have had all 4 in the final. They were all exceptional.
He should have been in the final. They could have had all four of them in it. Paul was rude to him giving all other bakers a handshake except Juergen which Prue said she would have. Glad Juergen was so polite and professional and not at all like Paul Hollywood. If they are smart, he has to be invited back.
Jurgen for a handshake during German week for his technical bake. (Just watched it.) But I agree. Sometimes Paul's just mean.
I remember being shocked when he was sent home. He's such a great baker. Loved this season and all the bakers.
Used to watch the Great British Baking Show with my family, including the specials. It wasn't that Jürgen was eliminated, it was how he was treated. I have come to expect that from Paul, but Prue joined in too. Didn't watch the final, haven't watched anything since. One of the appeals of the show was how nicely everyone treated each other - then Paul felt threatened and that was the end of that. Everything about Jürgen was a class act! Everything about Paul is petty.
Because the show is not from Australia. But Better than cooking show from USA thou.
If you had watched the final you would have thought as I did, when the others had flaws in each bake, Jurgen would not have had any. They made a BIG mistake!
My favorite Baker in season 12! Was sad to see him get eliminated 😣
He was the absolute sweetest man ever on that show! I had the privilege of visiting Germany before 9/11. It was actually my first and last time in a plane. I was enthralled with the German people. Their kind and helpful demeanor. There was much about that trip that made me take a second look at how we as Americans carry ourselves. And to consider how positive of an experience it might be for people visiting our country by comparison. I fell in love with Germany, and this man is a fine example of his people!
Yes, and the stereotype profiles on the show and the voting norms clearly show there is a political motive.
Yes Jurgen should not have been helping competitors so much should have realized they were competitors
Guiseppe was my favorite from the beginning but there were many wonderful people. I like the support and friendliness of this show as opposed to the contests in the U.S. Still, cheers to Guiseppe!!
But it was either going to be him or Giuseppe... both of them are great homebakers...
Yep, we said that on the second week. "One of those two are going to win." Chiggs and Crystelle really stepped it up though. They were the perfect group of semifinalists.
It was definitely a tough choice for me with Jurgen and Giuseppe. I loved them both!
Same!
While I agree Giuseppe was a wonderful choice for winner throughout the whole season Jurgen was my favorite!!
He should’ve at least been in the final, that final was so underwhelming they didn’t even do their best bakes he could’ve won
If ever there was a time for there to be four in final this was it!
Giuseppe was my favorite from the beginning because he felt like the underdog BEHIND Jurgen. Couldn’t believe they sent him home over Crystelle or Chigs
I would have loved to have seen him come back and do the show another time!
BRING BACK JURGEN!
i was telling my partner that Krauss seems like a sweet and cuddly grandpa that I would've loved to be around as a kid. little did i know he's only a few years older than me.
I liked Jurgen, but I LOVE Giuseppe. I picked him in the first episode and never wavered.
I do feel crystale was edged in over lizzie. Also feel Jurgen was a far better Baker than crystale e en though I liked her. Sometimes the judges let their own "picks" win who should go on. With all that said, the true winner won in the end.
i think he just gave them 2 unspectacular bakes in the semi final! He came first in the technical but was way outshined in both the signature AND the showstopper.
a very minor technicality but the narrator says that people thought the show was fixed "but" he was actually relieved. the two are not mutually exclusive. most often something is fixed and the person who loses is unhappy about it, but even if it is what is desired and even done with consent that doesn't make something not-fixed. though... it is nice he wasn't too bothered by the outcome, whatever the origin of it was. (i'm not taking a position on whether i think it was fixed or not, i have no idea, just thought the concepts might have been a little muddled) [though..i guess but doesn't necessarily have to imply that it wasn't fixed..it could be more like an "although" :-)]
I'm thrilled it was Guiseppe 💝💝💝
I was hoping to see Jurgën and Giuseppe compete in the finals
Crystelle was selected to be in the final 3 because she is beautiful and the producers thought it would have a more attractive appearance ratings -wise..little did they know it caused an uproar. Crystelle served RAW uncooked food and STILL won over Jürgen.. Come on folks.
I couldn't agree more. The episode where Crystelle clearly deserved to be sent home, Paul kept her above Lizzie claiming that they had to judge collectively based on all of the shows. Then when it came down to picking the 3 finalists it was based on one day? He also robbed Jurgen of a handshake that day, as clearly stated by Pru.
Jurgen was fantastic!
Love love love Jurgen!❤️
Don’t late know one keep you down, your a winner, and do what makes you feel good about your self and happy.
I enjoyed him so much. He should have been in the finals. ❤
He should have been in the finally!!!
Put a spoiler alert in the title of this video, PLEASE!
I thought Jurgen should have been in finals and the girl should gone home Giuseppe was good but Jurgen should shut his mouth NOT told others his secrets and they may have been gone.
Jurgen should been in the top final 3. Hollywood's hand shake has LOST its value after shake everyone in the tent but Jurgen. I washed my hands, in ever watching the show. As I have bgt, agt. Once you get it wrong, what's the point of watching any more.
Good grief 🤦♀️
Antonina, you are correct! Agree, agree, agree.
Jurgen Krauss should have won
Ahhh! Spoiler alert. Don’t watch this if you want to be surprised about who wins.
Jurgen was such a talented man. He was also very kind and humble. He definitely should have been in the finale. He was much better than the man who had only been baking for a year. That made no sense. Disappointed in the judges.
Shame! From the beginning of the semi-final, it was clear that Paul wanted to throw Jurgen out! He purposely extended his hand to Chrystella, Italian and Chigs in the author's challenge to favor them. He then kicks out Jurgen even though he won the blind judging even though Chigs came in last. Poor and unfair! That's how it is when the zero from man do justice...
Jürgen !!
It's Jürgen!
Juergen would also be correct if you can't or don't know how to do the umlaut on your keyboard.
Why do you make a whole long clip about him but can't get the spelling right??
he should have won
I love this show!
Betting on the axis this time paid off 🥰
@Fred Wills Crystelle and Chigs are British...
I still feel like Paul felt threatened by him because he was a great baker.
I don't know man, Jurgen is okay, but Giuseppe definitely deserved that win. Jurgen is a great baker but he just didn't do that well in that episode, because the judges were expecting a lot from him.
Yep. He set a high standard for himself and they used that to judge him. He became stagnant at some point while the others progressed in their baking and the judges clearly stated that in their decision. For me the right person won. Remember when food fell on the ground and he served it to the judges? If we are to look at certain mistakes he sure had his own too because in that episode people also said it was wrong that they evicted someone else when he served food that fell to the ground.
@@njuhmbunwe6701 Right.
i love chiggs so mad he didnt win
spoiled the finally, darn it.
Quick question: why do Americans call it the 'Great British Baking Show' and not the 'Great British Bake Off?'
Because in the U.S., it's titled "Great British Baking Show" on Netflix.
Pillsbury has a huge baking competition called the Pillsbury Bake-off and they were concerned Americans would get confused. As an American, I had never heard of the Pillsbury bake-off until I looked up why we call it the great British baking show
@@CleverCoyote91 Ah, that makes sense. Cheers for the response.
@@chriscoleman7181 Fair enough, thanks.
Pillsbury owns all the rights to "Bake Off" they purchased it years ago so that's why,it's a legal thing. Not because Americans would get confused 😂😂😂
Love hin
I just watched this series on binge and I had to find somewhere to vent my disbelief on Jurgen being eliminated. Very disappointed that Paul set this up by giving 3 contestants hand shakes and leaving Jurgen out. He barely tasted Chig’s and gave him a handshake. Whoever decided to get rid of Jurgen it was definitely set up. If it was Paul power tripping or the exec’s choice they deliberately predetermined that Jurgen shouldn’t win the bake off! So ridiculously unfair and biased. Very disappointed with Paul. Always liked his straightforward precise blunt comments but did he want Giuseppe to win so badly that he got rid of Jurgen for him? Was it the focaccia recipe he desperately wanted from him? Some deal on the side that only Paul was privy to? Do they bet in Britain on great British bake off winners or eliminations? Did Paul have a bet on with someone that he could eliminate Jurgen so Giuseppe would win?? Jurgen was the true winner of that series and yes everyone else in the semifinals were outstanding. But Jurgen was the best of the best. At least the show allowed us to see his talent and his quiet confidence as he made his amazing creations.
I know the answer! Jurgen dropped the sausage rolls and still served them. That's what peeved Paul who decided he didn't deserve it. Oh Paul it was an accident not his baking! He still deserved a chance in the final! 🙄🙄🙄
I completely agree with your explanation! The mean Paul kicked Jurgen out on purpose! That's how it is when the hypocrite do justice...
Um. SPOILER ALERT!!! Didn’t watch the final episode yet. Thanks a lot Mashed!!!
Exactly, I mean WTF!!!
Don't go on social media then
😂
Not a fair baking show. It's also stupid that because he didn't get a handshake that shows he is eliminated. Letprushake! Imagine those who won once or never joined the finals but the one who had won a lot of technicals was sent home. Stupid
Jurgen was robbed
I did like Jurgen, but didn't like that he presented the rolls he dropped on the floor to the judges. Accidents happen, but let the judges taste them was not richtig gut...😝
Bake Off*
chigs is great
this video said nothing.
Jurgen was robbed!! (Nothing against Giuseppe at ALL..)
Pathetic... every time someone's favorite doesn't get picked it must be a fix. It's true that Jurgen started out strong and did well during German week but he started slipping as the contest went on. You have to stay consistent if you want to win. And fans are going to have to accept that just because they think someone should win doesn't mean they deserved it. The other 3 bakers that made it to the finals were excellent bakers as well and equally as deserving. Frankly, I thought the woman should have won... she did a superb job and even got several Hollywood handshakes for her presentations. But I'm not over here whining that she didn't win or that the show was fixed. Jurgen will land on his feet. There will be other opportunities for him as a result of being on the show.
cute
He was an excellent baker, but he should have been eliminated weeks before. It was the episode where they were making vegan sausage rolls. His pan of rolls went all over the floor. He proceeded to feed them to the judges. That was sickening. Over the years, when food has gone on the floor, the bakers tossed it ..even though it meant not having everything they were instructed to prepare. If that happened in a restaurant, the Health Department would shut them down. They judges had been mortified when (in a different episode) someone used their hand to scoop off icing, I can’t imagine what they would have thought about basically eating their food off of the floor!
It literally went back in the oven, i think you are overreacting
Julia, do you think that putting the rolls back in the oven makes it ok to serve food that hit the floor? He should have been dismissed immediately
First of all, the programme is called Great British Bake Off. Secondly, the voice over on this is really annoying
Nice attempt to "rehabilitate" an obviously rigged show. Stopped watching a few years back when I realized how blatantly rigged it is. Just saying.
When it was on the BBC or C4? It's been immensely successful on both channels and if it was that bad, people would stop watching.
@@fridayschild4927 No one said it's bad, they said it's rigged. People watch rigged shows all the time: most are either too stupid to know or they find it entertaining enough they don't care
I thought the same thing & then this happened 🤣🤣🤣 miracles never cease !
@@IamCree Exactly. Saw Friday's Child comment and was like....what does that have to do with anything? LOL
Jurgen should not have helped those people and realized he was there to Win not Teach his competition
Ahem... its Great British Bake-Off...
That was getting on my nerves during that commentary too. Although she did manage to get it right when she mentioned the official GBBO site.
Also, I think she's knocking back one too many coffees. Slow down woman. It's not a race.
As for 'the penultimate round, the week before the final' thanks for clearing that up, lol. One or the other of those statements would have sufficed.
It's actually not. In America is called Baking show, not bake off. Another comment explains why. Think internationally when making judgments like this.
He dropped food on the floor and served it to the judges. He deserved to be sent home!!
The judges knew and still ate the food. Jürgen had no choice but to put his bake up for judging, regardless of whether it had touched the floor or not.
No worries, it happens all the time in restaurants 🤭jk Besides, he put it back in the oven before taking them out again. The heat killed the germs. Uncooked meat by Chigs and raw focaccia by Crystelle were way worse health risk than some dust on the pastry.
