Couldn't have said it better !!! I will be 60 years old in 8 weeks. People say that I look 35, the same age as my daughter. Yes, I exercise, a holdover from when I ran track and danced ballet. I have always believed in eating things in moderation. Fish, chicken, salads most of the time but when I want a fat, juicy hamburger or pizza, I don't, hold back. Again, the key is moderation and once a month, I break free and have at it.
My trusted chiropractor told me that hotdogs are the worst things you can eat. As a result I cut consumption to 4 or 5 a year. After watching this video I realize hotdogs are a guilty pleasure. Thanks Mashed. Think I’ll triple my hotdog consumption.
Turkey/ chicken or Beef are the best choices. They are great with fresh chopped Onions. Relish and mustard. If using cheese make sure it's only one Slice of Old White or one that less fat!!
A hot dog is unhealthy all by itself. Eating anything in excess can be unhealthy. A better choice is to cook some fresh ground beef with a little seasoning mixed in before cooking. Happy Feline Friday!
Hell, now I'm just hungry. Had a loaded baked potato and steak last night. Looks like im😢going to have a chili dog tonight. I'm a middle aged man that only has 12% body fat. I eat whatever the hell I want.
For the record, hot dogs are supposed to be an occasional treat like Pizza, cheese steaks, hoagies and hamburgers. When I eat any of these things, I DON'T CARE about putting something healthy on them .....I want to INDULGE !!! My favorite toppings ; crumbled bacon, onions and ketchup, or a straight chili dog with cheese and onions.
What a funny video. Obviously selective on where those condiments come from. Relish from a farm does not contain yellow-5 dye. So unmanufactured pickles alright too. Pickling involves salting. That's the bigger concern there. Corporate manufacturing tends to add unnecessary ingredients for sales. Never liked ketchup, but in the past manufacturers have been known to use red-5 dye. Yes, 'real cheese', not processed, and bacon is good for you in a moderation matching with your metabolism. Hot sauce depends on your personal health, like being a heart patient. Mayo and aioli contain egg whites, which mean protein. As for French fries how many can someone actually fit in the bun and are they homemade like relish or pickles. I won't talk about chili for there are so many custom recipes from families that have made there own for generations. Bottom line is that all we consume is best in moderation, and when we buy corporate brands expect an unhealthier eat than something more natural. I find this video too limited in its evaluations to properly claim it to be fully correct.
A video about the most unhealthy toppings to add to your hot dog. A hot dog. One of the most unhealthy foods on the planet. Thats like making a video saying the most unhealthy liquor to add to your cup of lard.
Hot dogs are terrible for you to start, think least of issue is what you put on it. Two things mentioned I could not imagine putting on a hot dog, cheese nor sour cream. Cheese hamburgers yes, but not a hot dog.
healthy eating isn't something poor people can do, unless you say people should eat tasteless food, for example, anyone that has to live off of goverment aid, like ssi/ssa/ssid, you get just around 1500 or less a month, so in those cases, all these "unhealthy" options are the main flavor options.
What do you like to add to hot dogs?
Mustard and saurkraut or sometimes chili and onions.
Spoiler - if you're eating a hot dog you've already gone all in on filling it up with goodness.
And none of these toppings are as unhealthy as the hot dog itself.
I'm just glad mustard managed to avoid being on the list.
It’s because mustard is a seed and it doesn’t have sugar like ketchup
You may well be wasting your time, everything in moderation, and you be fine, so pile on the goodies and enjoy.

These mashed videos are getting crazy. What DO you want me to add? TOFU?
The way to make this dish is very simple but very delicious. I like to see it❤❤❤
If you're eating a hot dog you've already thrown health out the window, what's the point of this?
Typical @mashed fashion. This channel is always morbid and imply that we should stop eating cause everything is unhealthy.
Welcome to the food police 👮♀️

I only put (one line on top) Gulden's Spicy brown mustard on my hotdogs.. if I'm feeling brave? Cooked or raw onions. And a cccccollld Pepsi
Everything about that sounds good... except for the Pepsi!
No chili or cheese? Not in Cincinnati!! 😅

Resep yg istimewa
I love cheese and ketchup on my hot dogs!
This come from the same clowns who demonized butter, that caused the alternatives with the same taste, to be much worse.
They seem to want to ruin all possible toppings, so I dare them to top a hot dog with fugu (puffer fish) & eat it.

So, your suggestion for eating a healthy hot dog (itself a paradox and oxymoron), is…what? No toppings at all?

Try mustard and sauerkraut. And remove half the bun.
Which version of Heinz? There’s like half a dozen versions of Heinz ketchup
