Peanut butter cups use to be my favorite, until I became allergic to peanuts due to an autoimmune disease. They need to make a peanut free version with one of the alternative nut butters. Like the soy, or sunflower seed butters. 🙏

HP Reese used to be a factory worker who is able to take care of 16 kids and his wife and himself. Oh my my how times have changed. As a kid in hawaii if we found the Indian and the star we could bring it to the store and get a free tootsie pop. Like the free soda under the caps😊 boy do i miss those days
My favourite Hallowe'en sweet is Rockets, known in the US as Smarties, because in Canada Smarties( the original Rowntree's sweet) is still around, tho' owned by Nestle now.
Surprised you didn't bring up the classic "You've got chocolate in my peanut butter",..."You've got peanut butter in my chocolate!" commercials when you were highlighting the Reeses Peanut Butter Cups.
Reese's peanut butter cups, toosie pops and flavored toosie rolls have always been some of my favorite Halloween candy. US smarties are called rockets in Canada and they're my least favorite candy people hand out for Halloween. Canada has british smarties made by Nestlé, they're like m&ms but have a sweet candy shell and they're a popular Halloween candy alongside m&m's. We also have different chocolate bars, like Nestlé crunch (made by ferraro in the usa), Cadbury crunchie and Nestlé coffee crisp (sold only in Canada). Canada has better chocolate than the USA, because like European chocolate it has more cocoa and fat, making it creamier, less grainy and not as sweet compared to American chocolate. Happy Halloween everyone! 🎃👻😈 🧙♀️🐈⬛️🦇🐺🍬🍫🍭🍪

Here's the thing
Best candy bar: 5th Avenue. It's kind of similar to a Butterfinger, but infinitely better.
Wasn't the court supposed to take Wilbur's Buds's side since they came before Hershey's Kisses? And does this have anything to do with copyright was not being taken seriously back then?
Trademark =/= copyright
I do not care how old I get, eating candy and dressing up will always be fun to me. Reese cups are awesome 🍫🥜🧡
Yes! I love putting on a costume (however simple it may be) and handing out candy on Halloween!

Had no idea Sourpatch Kids were created in my province in Canada! 🇨🇦
Peanut butter cups use to be my favorite, until I became allergic to peanuts due to an autoimmune disease. They need to make a peanut free version with one of the alternative nut butters. Like the soy, or sunflower seed butters. 🙏
Justin's makes almond butter and cashew butter cups. They're really good.
Heheheheh...you said "nut butter"..... heheheh
Same here, except I became allergic to milk, so I keep hoping they come up with a vegan version.
Just wanted to say how much I really enjoy Weird History Food! ❤️❤️❤️ I love the main channel too but I just really dig everything having to do with food! 😂😂😂
There's an old story that the name "Kiss" came from the noise that the chocolate made as it came out of the tube.
I remember getting lots of candy from trick or treating. My favorites are usually the fun sized chocolate candy.
Thanks for this! 🍬 #WeirdHistoryFood #Halloween #Candy
I went to buy candy today and it's ALL GONE! The shelves are covered in Christmas cards and snow globes. It's October 26 people, come on!!!
Love this channel and you should do one on the doomed fast food chain Rax.
Break me off a piece of that Kit Kat bar in the next video.
While I do like Candy Corn, my teeth are sensitive to sugar, and candy corn is the absolute worst. No other candy or chocolate bothers my teeth anywhere near as much. You can take that as an indication they are very bad for your teeth.
The narration is great, people just don't like change and loooooove to complain. Keep up the good work!
Change is great if it’s for the better
She's awful! The regular guy is much much better!!!!!!!!!!!
HP Reese used to be a factory worker who is able to take care of 16 kids and his wife and himself. Oh my my how times have changed. I don't think that's physically possible today and who the heck has 16 kids. At most usually see 6 or 7 siblings these days. The American dream was very strong back then
As a kid in hawaii if we found the Indian and the star we could bring it to the store and get a free tootsie pop. Like the free soda under the caps😊 boy do i miss those days
My favourite Hallowe'en sweet is Rockets, known in the US as Smarties, because in Canada Smarties( the original Rowntree's sweet) is still around, tho' owned by Nestle now.
I honestly love the taste of candy corn
reduced the bar to prevent overeating...haha lol ok we'll go with that
The Tootsie roll pop star was honored at my local gas station. You would get another one.
Surprised you didn't bring up the classic "You've got chocolate in my peanut butter",..."You've got peanut butter in my chocolate!" commercials when you were highlighting the Reeses Peanut Butter Cups.
9 billion pieces of candy corn produced. 9 million pieces thrown in the trash after Halloween. 😂
Snickers and peanut butter cups are my most favorite along with a few other candy bars out there.

Popular quote at Rocky Horror Picture Show: "Skittles, Taste the Rainbow!!!"
That sour patch kids cereal was awesome.
While I miss the other narrator, I think you did a great job to make this video fun!!
I gotta admit that Reese’s are definitely a favorite of mine!
Although KitKats are also up there. ❤
The loon who came up with 13:35 needs some credit as well
Old candy must have sucked if candy corn was a hit
2:15 The idea that college grant money is EVER used for anything actually productive is the biggest joke of this video ahahaha
😂😂😂
Candy corn and peanuts = potato chips and marshmallows.
Sweet n salty mm
There's a Payday candy bar work around that calls for stirring salted peanuts into melted candy corn then letting it set, I've been wanting to try it.
@@getoffmydarnlawn that sounds really, really weird, if I'm honest
HOW MANY LICKS ???
Now I am going to have to investigate this for myself...
Wish me luck lolzzzz.
actually as a kid I would get a free Tootsie Pop from the local market if I found a shooting star
I've been eating Wilbur buds since I was a kid! My school used to sell them as part of a fundraiser and I've been to the Wilbur factory in Lititz, PA. Not lying to impress you 🙂
Our local stores honored that "debunked" rumor and would give us a free Tootsie pop for the star wrapper.
Bremerton, WA (1980-96ish)
M&Ms should come in a bag mixed with skittles called M'Skittles
….I may or may not have done that for my wedding. I added in Reese’s pieces too.
I may have gotten cursed at by more than one person.
I don't have one favorite candy. I love several of them. In no particular order, I love the candies listed below...
*KIT KAT*
*NESTLE'S CRUNCH*
*SNICKERS*
*TWIX*
*PEANUT BUTTER TWIX*
"patch kids" is just another word for kindergarten
Wilbur Buds were fantastic…I am from Pennsylvania and I actually have bought and eaten them!
In the 80s and 90s tootsie roll would send you free candy "you paid postage " if you had enough of the star wrappers..
Raisin clusters sounds really appealing ngl.
Mike & Ike have been my go to for movie candy for so long now they're also my adult kids' go to for movies.
He sounds perpetually sarcastic!
