What a corker to end Series 1 on! I walked out of this reaction with a proper spring in my step!! But also with a very confused head, tears still in my eyes and the desperate need to google how to take care of BABY DRAGONS! It was AMAZING!
In other news!!! It’s now official! I am handing in my notice for work to start on my canal boat project and have more time to work on this channel! (Bring on April!) which can only mean one thing… You guys actually won’t have to wait forever for each ep!

Yoren is such a likeable character to me that Hannah misunderstanding his actions was so distressing like: Noo Hannah you don't understand he's getting her out of King's Landing, he's a good man, A GOOD MAN!!
He also saved her life, she was going to run to him which would have been her death.
Joffrey already had Ned killed and seeing Arya he would have just told Ilyn Payne to bring him a 2nd head.
He’s cutting her hair, so she can pass as a boy, and get out of danger.

She understood him by the end of the episode.
He's every father's hero in that moment.

its a bit more creepy in the book since shes like maybe 13 or 15 at that time lol! but Georges masterclass writing is wonders for sure.

Since Gendry is Robert's bastard son, he is not in line, nor claim, for the throne. Only legitimate children of the king can be in line for succession. Since Robert doesn't have any from marriage (even tho he has like 13 children), his brother Stannis is technically the rightful heir.
Was checking to see if anyone already said this - yeah, Gendry isn't a Baratheon. He's a 'Waters', as one parent was a Noble from the Crownlands, but the other was not married.
Yeah, for the purpose of explaining it a bit further for Hannah (and anyone else), it's always to the eldest of any sons, then to the eldest of any brothers, then it starts getting... complex.

@@hughtube5154 Well, that's the point, Robert's still not seen as the true heir - in, like, episode 2, he complains that there are those that still call him 'Usurper'.
I agree with you, there is a difference between having a claim and actually sitting on the throne, but I don't think those two really ever coincide. It's almost like blood claims are bullshit.
Technically Viserys is/was the rightful heir, even before Robert.
But you're missing the point of the show. Titles, inheritance, family, oaths and promises, weddings, merit... NONE of that matters. In the game of thrones, all that matters is POWER.
Well, based on the books and even some dialogue from this show in earlier episodes, Hannah might be on to something. Cersei tells Catlyn about losing her first born to illness. She calls the baby a "black haired beauty". This hints that the baby was Robert's, his true and only legitimate heir. But we know she resented him and would never give him the satisfaction of having a legitimate heir so she gave him away and most likely had another dead child replace him. But, as we know, as horrible as she is, she loves her children. She didn't completely abandon him. She would visit him. That is why Gendry tells Ned that all he remembers about his mother is that she was beautiful and had yellow hair. In the book and show, hair color is very important and as we all know, the Lannister's are known for their yellow hair. That small detail wouldn't of been said if it weren't important. At least not in the book. We also know thanks to the book that Gendry is an apprentice to one of the best blacksmith's in Kings Landing. A privilege that would not be given to a whores son. Clearly he's there because someone has been looking out for him. Then you have him being the only one who is saved from Jeffrey because Lord Varys paid Thobo Mott (the blacksmith) to send him to the wall. Why would he save only Gendry and not the other children? Because he knew the truth about his heritage. Then, Cersei looks worried when she finds out that Joffrey had all of Robert's bastards killed. We know she doesn't care about kids that aren't her own, just look at how she wanted Bran dead after they found out he had survived. So clearly she wasn't concerned about her late husband's bastards being killed, she was worried about her legitimate child being killed. And lastly, you have his blood working better than Stannis' with the magic from the red witch. Stannis' blood was only good for 1 kill because although he had kings blood, he wasn't the rightful heir. But Gendry's takes out all the other's with just one spell because he WAS the rightful heir. Everything points to Gendry being the true heir to the iron throne.
I just wanted to share the book quote from Sansa’s internal monologue at the moment she wants to push Joffrey.
“All it would take was a shove, she told herself. He was standing right there, right there, smirking at her. You could do it, she told herself. You could. Do it right now. It wouldn’t even matter if she went over with him. It wouldn’t matter at all.”
In the books when Dany has her dragons she’s breastfeeding one of them. She is quite literally the mother of dragons

@@MrSirrygoose well, dragons are fantasy lizards and lizards don't have milk. No animal that lays eggs can breastfeed their offspring. It's just not how that works.

And that's why I love your reactions! Few people understood her motivations. It was unforgivable, but we can comprehend her. To be saved by one of the people that had killed your family and abused you just to live among them is like a punishment as well.
How was it unforgivable, those Dothrakis including Drogo are rapists. There whole MO is rape & pillage.
Just like we lost Drogo and saw the dragons for the first time, we saw Sansa's direwolf die and, at the same time, we saw Bran awake.

From Cumbria it's a several hour drive to Liverpool, further to Ellesmere port where my dads family comes from.

Don’t be a sleaze everyone has the right to interpret things the way they see it! He didn’t seem too kind in his approach to Arya understandable it was coming from a good place and a tough loyal man but it could be misunderstood from first glance, I know this show needs more focus than most and maybe hannah isn’t aware of that still which is perfectly fine it makes for a more entertaining reaction. Just try to enjoy without judgement.

I'm from America and the one thing you guys have that we don't is narrow boat culture. We have people who live on boats but we have nothing like narrow boats. We just don't have that canal boats in the city situation like we had back in the day. I am actually jealous and can't wait to see the boat.
