- Here is my first time watching reaction to the Game of Thrones, season 1 episode 10 (GOT 1x10) titled Fire and Blood. It's also the finale of season 1. On tap, Season 2!

Guys - I apologize for the camera focus on this one. I either left it on manual focus by accident, or it locked on to the Jawa behind me. Either way, at least you can still see the reactions and hear. That said...here is the finale of Season 1! I know I talked a ton at the beginning, so if it's not your cup of tea you can skip to 6:48. One tip is not to have too many things with sharp contrasts in the background. This is a recurring "problem" for many reactors. Cool stuff, but focus can cause problems.
But of course it was still good to watch.

The last, living dragon died 146 years before Dany walked into that pyre. No living person had ever seen one until what you just witnessed.
I forgot how truly epic this season finale was on my first watch. The first time I watched it I didn't quite catch that Danny was immune to fire beforehand. I jumped out of my chair when she emerged from the fire with 3 dragons.
The conversation between Little Finger and Varys in the throne room is probably the most hilarious scene in the whole GOT series. Love it 😂
I believe Dany was to able to 'awaken' each dragon egg through a blood sacrifice: her son, husband and the witch. That's symbolism for ya.
Pycelle pretends to be decrepit so that everyone around him underestimates his capabilities. In that way, his actions and manipulations never fully come under scrutiny and he is never perceived to be a threat by the powers that be. King's Landing being the nest of vipers that it is, it's essentially a survival mechanism.
Just as a sidenote, the Direwolves are not as small as they are shown in the TV-Shows, in the Books they are as big as Ponies.

Maester Pycell is played by one of the best villainous actors...Julian Glover. He was the evil Nazi conspirator, Walter Donovan in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (movie #3), General Veers in Empire Strikes Back, and Aristotle Kristos in the James Bond film For Your Eyes Only. The way he deceives the whole of King's Landing by having Pycell fake his posture is genius and generally keeps him "safe" from harm, no one would suspect it! Makes you wonder what acts he requires of the prostitutes - obviously not the man on top. Glad you caught that moment. 😉
there's a deleted scene from later in the series that shows that one other person figured it out. have you seen it?

I love the little catches on rewatch. Gendry thinks he was sent to the wall because his master got sick of him. No, two hands of the king came to see him at the shop and died shortly later and Ned sent out the letter that Joffery was a bastard. The Blacksmith knew trouble was coming and was just covering his own ass.

This was sort of the Rebirth of House Tagaryen with the hatching of those three dragons.
Well it didn't take very long to go from "I would stop if I wasn't doing the reaction" to "I can't wait to see what happens next"
The guy speaking against Daenarys was sticking to his tribe's customs. I don't think that makes him evil or whatever. Misogyny is not a thing in the medieval ages. Him defending against the witch might have saved Khal drogo but Dany's insistence on using blood magic and witchcraft which was against their traditions to "save" him is what got him killed.

this is great news... because there's far less today. so i guess that's less than none? problem solved!
Granted, Catelyn made some bad moves, but she did not “start this whole thing” which you have said several times now. One could say who killed the Hand and put this whole thing in motion? Who pushed Bran out the window? And lastly, who tried to murder Bran? Life was calm and going fairly well until Jon Arryn met his untimely death. Who caused that?
She certainly didn't help.

The end sequences in the first few episodes of Season 1 may be shocking, but the LAST 2 episodes of Season 1 are the perfect one-two punch to titillate the mind and create hype for the very definition of must-watch tv.

I'm glad you're sticking with the series. As much as season 1 is good, against the rest of the seasons it's mostly setting and background. Now that the war has started for real, we'll get to meet a lof of new characters.
It's a fun show, so many cool, crazy things to come and it ramps up with each season, enjoy the ride

Just a little fyi; if you stop down your f-stop on your camera settings (say, going from something like f2.4 to f3.6-4.2), your focal depth will increase, so if you move around your couch, you'll still be in focus.

I really do hope that you start watching the "history and lore" of game of thrones Season 1. It explains so much lore and backstories of these characters. It will explains so much and make it easier to understand everything. Please watch it 😊
The Tyrion/Tywin scene has a much different interpretation on the show (probably due to not having internal thoughts);
On the show Tyrion seems to take this positively, like it's some fatherly love...
In the books Tyrion considered flinging his cup of wine at Tywin, because he realized that the only reason why he suddenly cared about him as a son, is because he thought Jaime was pretty much a dead man, so he had given up and Tyrion was all he had left...
So basically he took it positively, because the books are mostly irrelevant.
Had me at "I hope Joffrey gets eaten by a dragon." I envy you being able to watch this fresh.. and you don't have to wait a year to see what happens next! Have fun with it. Expect some highs and lows with emotion.

Just checked. For Komodo dragons it’s takes 8-9 years for full adulthood. So Daenerys’s dragons will grow quickly, but it will take time to be powerful.

Funny how no one remembers who Yoren is, even though he has already been in multiple scenes, some of them fairly long. He had a long scene with Tyrion and Uncle Benjen in Castle Black and another where he tells Ned Stark that Catelyn took Tyrion, where he actually meets Arya face to face...and yet everyone is like..who is that guy ? lmao.

You probably answered this before but does this mean you watched house of dragon and that got you into game of thrones? It makes an interesting perspective for sure with more world knowledge without character knowledge.

I get the "witch" POV. Imagine some people come into your lands, kill the men, rape the women and enslave the children. I would do worse than she did in her position. Dany saving her doesn't change anything, everything was taken from her just because the dothraki want ships to give Daenarys what she wants. It's sad how many people suffer for the choices of others.

Grand maester pycelle, the really old guy who was talking, and you asked who he was talking to......and a naked woman walked by
since nothing ever came of it, there was a deleted scene where he came before Tywin, Tywin told him to stop with the game.....Pycelle abruptly stood up straight and spoke fluently, like any other person, with no stuttering......Pycelle, in the deleted scene, was ACTING, old, frail, and weak

You better stop watching now if you can’t deal with tragedy and depression. This show is brutal. So you either gotta get a grip and hold on for what promises to be a wild ride or stop now. I wish I had a dollar for everyone who has said if they kill a certain person they will stop watching, and then when that person dies, they keep watching until the end. This is an epic story. It is the Song of Ice and Fire referenced by House of the Dragon. It’s not pretty, but it most definitely worth watching IMO.
Cersie has really lost any respect now, despite her sermon to Ned.; They just took his father's head !! What was John thinking? ; And such a thrilling season ending. If you were not streaming, would you have changed your mind after this episode, and continued watching?

The only reason Lord Tywin sent Tyrion to be acting Hand of the King is because he believes Jaime is as good as dead since Joffrey killed Ned.

Hope your voice gets better. So...3 dragons, which means I'm pretty sure you'll keep going. I know how you feel losing a character you like and want to quit from anger I loved the Walking Dead sereis until my favorite character was killed off and never saw the show again - in fact I don't even want to watch zombie stuff anymore. But don't fret, this is a roller coaster ride with many dips and turns. You might be overcomed with the urge to binge to see what happens next. have fun with it.

Because the ritual that she used wasn't for healing Drogo, but to kill him and their child. It was not an accident by Miri Maz Dur, but something that she did on purpose as vengeance for what they did towards her people.

Btw, I feel it's only right to warn you that in the 4th episode of season 3 there is bit of Targaryen family lore dropped that is actually a MASSIVE spoiler for House of the Dragon. It is, I believe, the only time that it happens in the show. Do with that information as you wish, m'lady.
There is another small one that I think gets overlooked. When Theon and Yara go to meet Dany. They are having a conversation, and I don't remember the exact wording, but they mention......well, I shouldn't say it I guess. Just that something specific has never existed.

Oh boy! Here is yet another "Game of Thrones" newbie reactor. By the end of the series you are either going to love it... or want to throw your shoe through your TV screen for wasting precious hours on this huge disappointment. I will give you a hint... the actors themselves could not even contain their disdain for the last seasons, especially Season 8.
