Hi Jenny! I still haven’t received the pattern either. From reading several of these comments, people are still waiting months later. I’m thinking she isn’t sending it out. Even though she replied to me and said it takes her time to answer all the emails. I Di t understand months later and people still don’t have the pattern. Don’t hold your breath in this one
On April 1 I received the link for the pattern. I have made 6 and a few more to finish. First the fabric ties are too short to tie into a bow but you can tie it. I could have added extra fabric to it but didn’t want to mess with having another seam, but add enough to finish the headband piece at 56”. Next she says in the video the band is 3” wide and the pattern is a shy 2.5” Then the casing with a 1/4” seam and 1/4” elastic doesn’t work well so the others I’m making I made the band 3.5” and using a 3/8” seam to attach the band to the cap sides. It makes it easier to get the elastic in and the little angle folds is way easier to do. I also do a lot of ironing the 1/4” (3/8”) seams in before sewing and it’s time consuming but worth the effort! And finally the cap top pattern piece on the lengthwise fold will not fit on 1/2 yard fabric with the cap side and headband pieces. I made a cap top piece that folds width wise and you can get it this way. Also you could cut a different pattern piece for the cap top as a whole piece and if not directional cut out whole piece width of fabric. If fabric is directional you should get at least 2/3 yard.
