I think the directions should include straining the product before mixing and applying. My experience with the Matte or Natural was very gritty after drying. I was able to go back and wet sand then polish to reduce the gritty feel but that should be addressed.
This product is incredible. If you don't use it, chances are you will regret it. Unprotected epoxy stains. I have only had 1 thing stain our counters with the Ultimate Top Coat (Kool-Aid powder). It did come out after some attention, but nothing else really stains our counters with this UTC.
I love this product but wish it had a longer working time. Working on it currently is very tiring and exhausting, especially with the change in temperature working on it becomes very difficult.
Great product, used it on a few projects and clients are super satisfied with it. Unfortunately these days it's pretty much impossible to come by in Canada. Only online store that sold it disappeared and from I hear for good reason. Official website says it can't be shipped here. Unfortunate, would have clients who want it.
We rolled on the top coat and this morning the roller lines were still there and didn't level out. and is still sticky to the touch. how can we redo this to be right? and we think from doing so late in the afternoon and it's in our garage and maybe the temps dropped to fast outside?
My first coat of epoxy look awesome with a high gloss, but my top coat came out flat there is very little sheen. The bottles say clear natural finish. What am I missing, I sand my epoxy coat as directed and mixed top coat as directed. It has dried and yet has that paint roller look texture. Is the clear natural finish supposed to be flat? It is not a smooth to the touch as the epoxy coat was. Please advise stone coat folks.
Same happened to us my husband is so frustrated because it looks like orange peel, I think they should explain or show the real results now we going to redo it we going to end it up spending an other 300 dollars 😢
I couldn’t agree more. Love the epoxy but the top coat is a waste of money. Left horrible orange peel on beautiful glossy top. Had to redo the whole thing.
How scratch resistant is it? Also, it’s really rude to comment on a company’s channel about how you like a different product… just don’t say anything if you don’t care for it. RK3 has used this product for years and loves it. They have tried ballistix and doesn’t care for it on this application, I trust them!
@@michaeloliver6745 very scratch resistant! And i said it , incase people didnt know about it and wanted to try it .i use it on outdoor surfaces too .🤨are you going to cry about my post on a open platform ?
@@SCBotanicals it’s nice of you to be mature and respectful of someone else’s opinion… They have other ways to advertise besides you coming to someone else’s channel and try to steer them away. What you’re doing isn’t right and all the childish insults in the world won’t change it.
Can't recommend this. They changed their language shortly after we bought this product and removed the statements about additional UV durability. Three months after pouring, every where that sunlight touched has turned a soft, rubbery yellow color. Ironically they have a 'uv-stable' product, go figure. Inquiries to support about this just left with blanket answers and 'sorry boutcha' responses. I wanted to like these guys but after using their products finally, I'm not sure I can recommend resin to any counter top. I do agree with others, the product is gritty and left with a rough, matte surface that we were not expecting, either.
Always looks so nice when you finish!

Can I use this without epoxy after painting my countertops?

but after application it doesnt show the same gloss like without? I like glossy...
Ultimate top is not tops in my book. Leaves an orange peel effect. Hardly smooth as glass. Best to just do a flood coat and leave it.

Ive used ballistics some places hard to get but , it didn’t get its name for no reason 😉

This product is almost as terrible as the customer service. Chunky product that does not work as advertised. Company doesn’t stand by its product.
