Would you do a floor project?
Could you work in gold for that gold streaked marble look you have done in the past on countertops? What about acid staining on the concrete? Could you do a clear coat and the a top coat on something like that? The floor looked great!
I thought about doing epoxy for my kitchen area.
That looks so beautiful! I might try doing black marble looking for my basement floor. Luv ur shiny high gloss looks! Maybe add some green for more color! Luv ur videos!!!!!
Did the concrete floor get sanded at all or cracks filled or anything?
I’d love to pour more floors with SCC. Just waiting on kits to be back in stock. Need 4 15 gallon kits.
I like the gloss look. Not to fond of a dull look finish 😊
You guys are Godsends! Never, ever in my life would've thought epoxy could do this beautiful and almost magical work!
Wow, amazing! Great job, guys. I would've not dare do such a big surface. You guys rock! Thank you for taking us along. I enjoyed it.
Love how simple this was I’ve watch videos with too many steps… moving into a new house and I’m definitely going to try to do this DIY lol.
One of your better videos! I like how smooth your flow and transitions are.
Great job & beautiful color selection. Been wanting to do this for so long.
Beautiful job! That is one gigantic house!
I admire his work can’t wait to do it my self on my new home it’s not the best but I will try
this looks amazing, well done
Sooooo...Mike.this is where the last of the flooring epoxy went!!!! I have had 2 kits on back order for weeks! 😃🤣💙
I loved the high gloss!!
Awesome great cleaning. Great show. 👍
Wow! Great work, im considering doing this in my garage.
Yes! I’m the first to see this amazing floor being put down!
Awesome!
That really looks sharp. I like that.
Yea ! I liked the shiny coat !!
Metallic dust glittering in the camera. Beautiful job.
That project was soo much fun. Folks its really that easy-to-use. It was my first time working with flooring epoxy. I walk on that floor everyday and still can't belive how amazing it turned out. Thanks Mike for the training.
WOW thanks for letting us know that!!!! How cool!
Is it slippery?! My mother has bad footing and I’m hoping this would be a good option if it’s not too slippery like tile floors
She shouldnt have any issues with epoxy. Its like really hard plastic.@@Unknown74658
Soooooo beautiful!
Beautiful...can't wait to try this. Did my basement floor (have since moved) about 20 years ago with a completely different product. It ended up being sharp and I had to sand the whole floor. Took forever lol
OMG sharp? We are about to do our kitchen and I am terrified lol
@@funnypeoplerule Good luck, I am sure it will turn out great.
Excellent 👌
I love your show
I actually loved it with that high gloss do you have to put a tap coat or can you put a tap coat with something else that shows it shiny and glossy? Also I was wondering what it cost to do that?
I think you would just go over it with the epoxy but without color
Top coat is mandatory as a protective layer if you want a high quality epoxy floor. However, you can pick different top coats. High gloss or no gloss, and they both work the same way. You roll them on white and they dry clear.
They have a gloss ultimate top coat if you like that gloss look
I was thinking the exact same thing. I love the gloss look.
I would never gave it a dull coat, the gloss was so beautiful.
i love the floor coatings, BUT, i like the really shiny look over the dull finish.
crosses everything that UK will be able to get stonecoat soon
Yeah im in the uk and it looks amazing doesn't it
Beautiful
Could you do a step-by-step tutorial on how to do a wood sub floor epoxy finish? My husband and I are interested in doing our sunroom, but have not seen any start to finish projects on wood. Over tile or concrete there are several.
Aa harika bir zemin kaplama epoxy ile mucize ler yaratıyorsunuz elerinize emeğinize sağlık bir sonraki vidyoyu sabırsızlıkla bekliyoruz 👌👏👏😎
Ordered enough to do 2000sq ft. Can't wait till it gets delivered.
Looks nice, but I liked the shiny black before the top coat was added better.
before the white marbling
Looks good
Curious, is it still slippery? Also, you didn't use a dry roller with this project like you do on the counters? Did you use the same roller all the way through?
GREETINGS SOLDIER, BRUCE FROM DETROIT MICHIGAN, I THINK I GOT THIS, THANKS 4 THE VIDEOS 🙂
Amazing and I'd like that whole downstairs for a studio........lol
looked better with the gloss, good video
This is so beautiful.
Do you train. Like onsite training. I would really love to learn
Sure wish we could get the Ultimate Topcoat!!
we can use the regular paint brush and roller paint brush, we can can buy local hardward and also we can use regular primer paint for concrete and plywood for example for undercoat before apply the epoxy resin
Any idea when the flooring epoxy will be back in stock? I've been waiting for quite a bit, would love to finish my bathroom with it.
Is the top coat self-leveling, just roll it on ? Same epoxy material? And is it semi gloss or matte? It looks a bit duller than the base coat. Also, what product do you recommend? On Amazon? Very well done work and video. You are a great teacher! Thanks!
Quinn, my epoxy is a tiny bit more viscous than this video shows. My house is about 10°F cooler than the 79° mentioned in the videos. I would call this a house paint or cream viscosity, not water-like. Maybe the temperature is part of the problem. Your commentary on this is appreciated.
I like it, beautiful work. My question, is there a semi gloss?
Yea thats an amazing house lol. I actually like the shiny floor more then the dull look. But awesome job.
Have you seen the black epoxy floors with the glitter? I wish you could do a sample board see if it really comes out that rainbow perfect.
It looks awesome. Where do you go to buy the supplies?
I love your work. Always looks great. I have a question though, would the epoxy flex? For instance, the relief cuts in the concrete floor is meant to reduce cracking. By covering the relief cuts with epoxy ( in the event the concrete contracts and expands) would the epoxy flex with the concrete slab?
hello, please tell me on what basis did you start working with epoxy primer? bulk self leveling on a cement basis?
Looks good to me
Do you have an option of a Matt or flat or shiny sealer I thought it looked great when it was shiny
They have a gloss top coat option. They used their matte in this video
You guys made a basement look and feel like a lobby. 😂 This floor looks beautiful.
Can I do this in my kitchen over slate & what products did you use?!
Looks awesome. Now i know what im doing with the laundry side of my basement.
I'm looking at doing a black epoxy floor in a store and the owner wants it to be shiny. I've got 39 years experience in flooring including finishing wood floors. I've never done epoxy floors but I believe I can handle it. Any tips you can give on installation would be appreciated. Also, what is the going sf charge for labor only? I'm in Nashville, TN.
Are you able to put this material over existing tile and have it flow into a part that was originally carpet?
🔥
Esta chingon
Did you back roll the 2 colors after using the trout
Thank you for sharing. Not a fan of the matte look after the top coat, took away the metallic look - was that intentional?
So can you leave it glossy? I love the high gloss!
Can this be done on fiberglass or pvc shower floors?
Prior to your top protective coat, it was looking very shinny, can you keep that shine with a top coat?
NICE!!😎😎🥰👏👏👏🤪😊😁
Aww is that must be why there's no ultimate top coat to purchase lol. Looks good 👍
I liked it before the top coat but it’s beautiful
I have watched other companies videos on floors and they make it seem like so much product has to be used and u guys make it look like less product is used which makes I so much cost effective and less man power.
Hello, what is the name of the product that you applied at the end to give it a matte effect?
how did you prep the floor? shot blaster or diamond grinder?
hi love your work. could I use you video for a project?
Was vacuuming the final step for cleaning or do you have to acid wash ?
The flooring epoxy or patch kits still aren't available on your website. I've been checking for months. Any idea when you'll get more in?
How would you you do a osb floor?
Can this be done on a outside covered porch?
can you please share the details of products used in the description or some sort of link that can help.
Great magic trowel technique at 3:50 - 4:25
I noticed a few differences between the floor and countertops. No dry roller and no torch was the biggest. Awesome look!
Is it possible to level a concrete basement floor that has a french drain around the perimeter and a sump pump?
hello from Romania!I might ask the most stupid q,but, please tell me ,is it possible to have epoxy over underfloor heating?thank you!
Can clear polyaspartic be installed directly to concrete.?
Can this go over a concrete floor that may not have a vapor barrier under it. I've tried epoxy paints and they've pealed up Ann's never bonded to the floor.
Is this heat resistance? Would it work as a wood burning stove hearth?
I’m about to redo my kitchen at restaurant- health dep requiring USDA/FDA approved for food safety- is ur product? Or could u recommend one that is? Oh and had to be skid proofed
The inspector just standing there, menacingly 🤣
Gr8
how thick is the coating when you are done?
Did you do that all at once or did you break it up room by room ,how many days did it take
Can the primer go over 1 coat concrete paint or does it have to be removed
What’s the soonest we could apply 2 coat ?
It looks nice and shiny before you put the top coat on where you going for more of that dull look?
I want to create a bathroom decor that makes the entire room appear to be under the sea, from floor to ceiling. I want to create a floor that replicates the ocean floor, sand, seashells, crabs, starfish, and etc. I know that I should start with a base paint. But, after that should I glue down a thin layer of sand and the small creatures that I want on the seabed, then pure the epoxy over it all or should I mix the epoxy with the sand, trowel in the sand waves as I put down the epoxy/sand, and then place the small creatures? Of course I would need to pure the top coat of epoxy and go through all of the finishing steps.
Can you think of a better way to create what I am planning to attempt?
Also, can the epoxy be pure on a floor with a heating system?
Could you put this on a wood deck for instance, I know you can get epoxy paint but it’s just one color
I’d love to do that with my basement is there a link to your website for pricing? I’m looking at roughly 1200sf
Is the top coat a must? I really liked it better before. Also I think adding a chart at the end comparing the price of laminate, carpet, and other options vs stonecoat could really sell the product.
GREAT IDEA
this is great. Although the shiny look is pretty, its not practical at all, so I understand and agree with the matte finish😁
No criticism only a question, why do you guys opt out of grinding the surface before applying the material? I install polyaspartic coatings and this is a massive step for our process. Again, I’m really only curious. Thank you. 0:31
What is the top coat that gives it that Matt look 👍👍?
Do I have to put a top coat? I wanted to leave my floor with a gloss finish.
Do you have to sand floor 1st?
Hi,,,Is something like this more expensive than tiling the floors?
