I'm reject orthodoxy (I'm not specifically talking about Orthodox Christianity, but orthodoxy) because it's about having the "right" beliefs/opinions. How can you know if something is true? You need evidence first and you need to look for it but the orthodox claim to already have found it. So what you get in practice is an organization that claims to have found the truth: they know what the "one true religion" is and you must follow it otherwise you will go to hell (or it will be super difficult for you if you follow other paths). There was no freedom of speech in Europe (there still is barely any freedom of speech in Europe). The Church dictated what people should believe. It took the Reformation to change that. Anyways, that's why I'm promoting orthopraxy, which is about behaving right, traditions and spirituality. You cannot be spiritual if a(n) organization/clergy is standing between you and God.
