I got a blue series 1800's deck at Christmas last year, and I had no idea what that card that hints that it is marked meant until now. Thank you. I've had a marked deck ad I never even knew it.
OMG, just went for dinner with my folks, the 1800 deck is AMAZING!!! i pretended to memorise the deck order in seconds and then just read off the back of the cards as i dealt them off, they were amazed they even had a look at the cards afterwards, they couldn't even see the markings when comparing two next to each other, would definitely recommend
I love the 1800’s for close up magic because the deck looks like it came out of your grandmother’s sewing drawer. Who wouldn’t trust a grandma’s deck of cards! Question: mine are marked at the 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock positions. Did they change it? Are my decks an older design, or perhaps newer? If anyone has feedback, I’d love to know.
I've got them and I would recommend just going through the cards over and over again until you can read them without staring awkwardly at the back of the cards because I tried a trick before I could read the cards to well and now I cannot do much with them as people know they're marked

i would buy the things but i live in the UK have no credit card even though i am 19 in 2 weeks but if these items were available in stores it would be somewhat better but the problem would be too many people getting them without knowing what they are for and end up ruining the tricks
Are you familiar with edgework on BEEs? Sometimes referred to as "sand on BEEs"? They are generally only marked for blackjack, as Aces are specifically marked, 10-J-Q-K marked the same, number cards may or may not be marked at all, but if they are, are often just marked high and low. Suits are never marked, only values. The advantage to these (usually done on BEE 67 back) is that, when dealing 2nds (3rds, 4ths, if really needed) only 1/8" or less of the card need be exposed in order to see the marks. Using some of the marks found on white bordered cards, you would have to pull the top card back 1/2" or more in order to see the marks. Of course, for poker the Bicycle marks are better, since you have the option of betting or not betting depending on what the other guy's hand is, and you don't even have to control what you deal him. But, if you are dealing for the house in blackjack, the almost indectable edge work is great. I rarely use marked cards anyway, too many other ways to put the odds heavily in my favor. ALSO: I don't mind there being five aces in a deck, but when I have four aces, and I KNOW what I dealt the other guy…...

IF you anticipate being asked to use a new deck, the cellophane on the cards must be backed away VERY carefully, the cards removed and marked, then put back in, then the cellophane reclosed, but only with vegetable gum. People who don't know what they are doing will close it with airplane glue, which is also clear, but if they are up against someone in the know, they have a problem: watch The CIncinnati Kid, and you will see Edward G. Robinson smell the ends of a new deck. He is trying to sniff airplane glue, a clear indication that the deck has been doctored.

I do love me some pretty cards, but honestly if I'm going to use marked cards I just buy a deck of bikes and a sharpie and just mark them myself. There's so much stuff on the back of those things that it takes no time to create a system and only a little practice to become familiar with it.

the best marked deck i have ever seen was the one that came free with the ds game master of illusion. the mark is a litle easyer to find then these but its a free deck so win win to me.

Scam School Ive seen bottles go on Penguin for 15 Bucks. Haven't ordered myself any from there in a while To be honest I like these traditional ones a little better, In some cases its caused some glare in the right lighting. These are pretty foolproof though :P
