NYC Subway R211 Delivery via the South Brooklyn Railway

- This set of R211s was delivered and dropped off on the tracks normally used by NYNJ Rail when they serve Sims Metal Management not the tracks that lead into the subway system. To correct this issue and get the brand new R211s into the subway and away from the scrap yard they needed to be moved onto the First Avenue to clear the switch to take them into the subway.
They can no longer bring them over via the West End line since that’s closed due to the construction of the new rail car testing facility, so they have to bring them somewhere to get it on to New York Subway property
A and C Trains R211 Subway cars will be from South Brooklyn Yard. The Remaining R211S Cars will be delivered to Clifton Yard not South Brooklyn Yard. Other R211 Cars will be going to Jamaica Maintenance Shops. The 4 Car R211 sets will be from East New York Yard or Fresh Pond Yard.
The eight cars consist pliot set would need a bit of clearance testing and burn in the software and the thirty revenue testing and the mta is thinking about having eight cars trains, the sir r211 is supposed to enter service before 🐰

Philadelphia is getting New York City subway cars
What do you mean by that? Will Philadelphia receive its own version of the R211? Since the State-of-Art Car (SOAC), which was based on an NYCT R44, ran on the Broad Street Line, I don't see anything preventing other NYCTA B-division rolling stock from running there.
@@KingofGamingAndTrains456 i wanna say what they mean is them refencing that SEPTA is replacing the Market-Frankford line Adtranz/M4 cars. However, at this point only funding has been set aside for that purpose and there is not a design or manufacturer chosen. To my knowledge SEPTA is still keeping the Kawasaki B4 and those train cars are not scheduled for replacement.

No we don't. 62's are fine.
Something is definitely about to go down on the Pelham 6 line I tell you that right. People don't see it. God sees everything that fits I'm telling you right now straight up. I'm not making this up because I have noticed that every now and then the 6 Pelham line is doing signal maintenances.

Well currently delivered to NYC is 4040-4059 (R211T) and 4060-4184, 4190-4199 (R211A) 100-104 (R211S) those are IN NYC. 4200-4349 are built (I think) 4350-4499 Is unknown currently. 105-114 are built and unknown where they are at currently. 4060-4169 are in service tho (On The A Line) 4040-4059 are in service on the C

Wet rails plus there is rubber surrounding the rails to make it easier on the cars and trucks that drive over the tracks every day were a recipe for wheel slipping. The put pit and the diesels were slipping badly
