Doors, that do not open for anyone, open for Ben Collins. The Ring Brothers open door is a testament to the respect they have for him, and he for them.
Rather ironic that most of his breakout role in media was an anon non-speaking role. His 2010 book reveals a very personal bloke with a quick wit, so it is great we get to see him as Ben in the youtube era.
Love this stuff Ben! Actual meaningful insight allowing us behind the scenes of one the world's most prestigious, secretive, and capable custom car builders, absolutely cracking stuff. Can't help but wonder if some development driving for them maybe on the menu 🤔. Keep it up fella!
Impossible, as an American, not to love the fact that true car people, no matter where they are from or how high they are on the "food chain" (Ring Brothers are automotive royalty by virtue of their incredible work) are like giddy fan boys around the STIG. In glorious British fashion, Mr. Collins has always been incredibly humble and returns the love.
That DBS though. The 'Eleanor' of Aston Martin resto mods. *Chef's Kiss* 🤌

I feel like it has lost anything that made the car iconic. It's barely recognizable, at least in the renders, and with them chopping and messing with it structurally, I doubt it will retain any of the driving capabilities. Might as well have done it from scratch.
The bonnet/hood release on the Grand National made me tingle. The details on that car are so clean. Honestly don't feel like we deserve this channel, the production and content quality are so high.
As always another great video from Ben. From driver who cant speak to a great presenter - his transormation is amazing. From great driving to be natural in front of the camera and microphone. Keep with the great work Ben. Cant wait for the next one.
God people really don't understand how many hours these builds take. Jesus when he was going through the engine bay alone is just a stupid amount of hours. Thanks for the interview and all the hard work Ben!
British Sports cars have always been full of quirky ergonomics and although some would cry sacrilege it is common sense to refine and perfect those Aston quirks to the modern human form while taking advantage of improved corner weight and balance as well as making it a manual gearbox :-) Cant wait!
That Buick Grand National is terrifying. 1250hp from the old 3.8 litre V6? Where did all that power come from? There are still thousands of those motors sitting in clapped out Holden Commodores in Oz. Edit: I must say, that Aston DBS will be something completely amazing. Purists will vomit but it's not being built for them. I can't wait to see a video where Ben drives it.
SEMA is a huge auto business and industry meeting. (If not the biggest in the world) Ben must have heard a lot of sales pitches there and everything is pushed a little bit, etc... I appreciate that Ben is able to walk miles and remains patient and sane in the crazy grind of the SEMA show! Good Ben!
Another brilliant video Ben, love your content, you're a natural presenter i listen and hang off every word. I would love to see you drive their Aston Martin 😮 x
I was a surprised when he said he would love to use an Aston Martin V12 engine but just wasn't familiar enough with it. Genuine humility. It seems being Ben Collins has its advantages - that's pretty cool to see.
BEN IS A GREAT GUY AND INFORMED, AND """CAN DRIVE ANYTHING REALLY WELL ON A TRACK!! CANT WAIT TI SEE IT DONE ,,WITH BEN TAKING IT OUT AND PROVE ,,, ITS GONNA KICK SOME
I really like what they did with the body and dash of the Grand National. I wouldn’t have wanted the cage or the CO2 activated waste gates for everyday driving as it’s just an added complexity. However still very beautifully executed.
Those cars are amazing. I am sure the build quality and attention to detail is top notch. But I can’t imagine they have gone through anywhere the amount of engineering and testing a regular production vehicle has, so I always wonder if living with one do they feel a bit chintzy, a bit rattley and fragile and worried if something is going to go wrong?
Agreed. It's an amazing design and I love it but it's so far from the 1967original that it could just be a one off version of some other late 60/70's car, as it will have very little of the original. Aston does make a modern version of this car, and it's called a DBS.
Im imagining a restomod Vantage treatment for the DBS v-8. Ive always felt it was the prettier car than the refreshed V-8, and wanted to see a Vantage treatment for it.
60's for the DBS but started as a Straight 6 , designed by William Towns who designed the 70s wedge Lagonda saloon favoured by Arabic sheiks and Royalty.
This is how cars were made before Henry Ford decided to mass produce them on his production line. Each customer would get their own special hand made car.
They are missing the mark by a mile or kilometer with the Aston Martin. It looks like a Ford Mustang in the concept illustration. Chip Foose did this with a XKE awhile back. Totally destroyed everything great about the car’s styling that made it iconic.
Ben asks, pointing at the main dip switch "Whats that on the floor?" Ben..... BEN????? How do you Not know tha...... ben, you just became less coolerer :0(
Wow … that was automotive professionalism at its finest .. thank you 🙏
Glad you liked it!
Doors, that do not open for anyone, open for Ben Collins.
The Ring Brothers open door is a testament to the respect they have for him, and he for them.
That is probably one of cleanst Grand National customs I've ever seen. Absolutely beautiful!
We agree!
The front of the car.. well yeah, maybe okay. But the rear end was really well finished!
Dream car... superr Radd
The 1600 Hp one on RoadsterShop too.
Stig has taken to being Ben like a duck to water, as perfect as Stig was i feel like we missed out on not having Ben sooner.
100% im glad we have him now.
Rather ironic that most of his breakout role in media was an anon non-speaking role. His 2010 book reveals a very personal bloke with a quick wit, so it is great we get to see him as Ben in the youtube era.
I have said it before Mr. Collins took the Stig from an oddity and gave the character a personality he is and will always be The Stig.
@@jimmyhughes5392 absolutely
We haven’t missed out on anything because he’s here now
Love this stuff Ben! Actual meaningful insight allowing us behind the scenes of one the world's most prestigious, secretive, and capable custom car builders, absolutely cracking stuff. Can't help but wonder if some development driving for them maybe on the menu 🤔. Keep it up fella!

You are right. As are RetroPower Limited in England and Chip Foose in California.
That Ringbrothers Aston will be AMAZING!
the inside of that blazer is what the interior of the cyber truck SHOULD look like IMO
You're so right!
The hummer hx also
Breathtaking interior.
Another very professional yet watchable post. Thanks Ben .
Glad you enjoyed it
Those traits are hardly mutually exclusive.
Always like your collaboration, but these guys and cars are just perfect.
The amount of work put into these cars is incredible!
They've made some beautiful cars. The Aston is going to be epic. Nice one, thanks Ben.
Can't wait!
Always loved that era of Aston Martin as well. Looks like a cross between a Ferrari Daytona and a Chevelle.
I thought it looked like a worked over blend of 2011 and 2015 Mustang.
The 71 V8 DBS concept looks too good to be true. I'm actually drooling on that
That DBS though.
I honestly thought it was a mustang for a second.
DBS "Eleanor"? No for God's sake! 🙏
The Ring Brothers ! Great guys, I spent some time with them @ the 2009 SEMA show. :)
The bonnet/hood release on the Grand National made me tingle. The details on that car are so clean.
Honestly don't feel like we deserve this channel, the production and content quality are so high.
I totally agree!
That Grand National ❤!!!!!
Really excited to see what they do with the Aston. They always do top notch work.
The blazer is my absolute favorite
As always another great video from Ben. From driver who cant speak to a great presenter - his transormation is amazing. From great driving to be natural in front of the camera and microphone.
Keep with the great work Ben. Cant wait for the next one.
Thanks for that!
Ben that will be so cool for you to drive it and give a review of it! Especially if you can get it to Goodwood.
God people really don't understand how many hours these builds take. Jesus when he was going through the engine bay alone is just a stupid amount of hours. Thanks for the interview and all the hard work Ben!
What a vid, what a company. Thanks for using your brand to showcase this talent. And hell yeah, we want to see some bros at the Goodwood!
"The young guys don't even know what those are..." as Ben laughs nervously and tries to look like he knows what a headlight dimmer switch is :)
Been waiting on some Sema content, thank you 👌🏻
Hope you enjoyed it!
The grand tour retires and Ben takes over, its poetic really. 👍
British Sports cars have always been full of quirky ergonomics and although some would cry sacrilege it is common sense to refine and perfect those Aston quirks to the modern human form while taking advantage of improved corner weight and balance as well as making it a manual gearbox :-)
Cant wait!
You and Mike - great combo. Thanks for letting us have a peek.
Super cool. I’m looking forward to his his driving impression plus it will be very interesting to see what the Ring Brothers do to a non NA ride
You and me both!

*I'd love one of those Chevrolet Monte Carlo's that featured in the film Training Day*
Digging the 80s stuff, it was new when I was learning to drive so somewhat aspirational.
It sure is weird having the stig be interested in my town's builders
" Get sliced and diced in the grill" Right right " I love it " :D
That was fab! awesome , i want them all! so cool to see these new ideas and innovation.
Good Ben!
So sick Ben. Cheers man.
I would love to see the Ring Brothers at Goodwood! Thanks Ben!
You got it!
Another brilliant video Ben, love your content, you're a natural presenter i listen and hang off every word. I would love to see you drive their Aston Martin 😮 x
Maybe one day!
I kinda want the Ringbrothers to build me a 56 Cadillac on the drivetrain of a Lucid Sapphire.
CANT WAIT TI SEE IT DONE ,,WITH BEN TAKING IT OUT AND PROVE ,,, ITS GONNA KICK SOME
Amazing vision and execution RB!
Cheers Ben really enjoyed that and those guys are awesome. That Aston will be superb. 😀
Glad you enjoyed it
Dang...just found your channel...New Sub!!✌️
Welcome aboard!
Be really interesting to see how Ring Bros Aston compares to Retropowers
Absolutely incredible next level
The guys a genius builder but humble with it
Superb
Omg…! The Stig had to ask about the dimmer switch!
This was an incredible video.
The ring brothers did a yellow Pantera ❤ unreal my favourite
Awesome video Ben, now that is how you do a SEMA video man!
Glad you liked it!
Great job, Ryan!!
Very cool and so nice to offer Ben to drive it.
Yes it was!
I really like what they did with the body and dash of the Grand National. I wouldn’t have wanted the cage or the CO2 activated waste gates for everyday driving as it’s just an added complexity. However still very beautifully executed.
That Grand National gives me the Fizz 😂
Love your videos Ben is so professional and knows what he's talking about👍👍
Thanks 👍
I honestly thought this was Nurburgring content 😅
Still glad to have watched this... some awesome cars at SEMA
Glad you enjoyed it!
nice work Ben; thanks
Cool... Thank You!! Great Job !!
Glad you liked it!
That’s an amazing MUSTANG THEY ARE BUILDING 🤣🤣🤣
My thoughts exactly. Totally ruined everything great about the Aston Martin.
I would name an engine stinkeye before pinkeye. 😅
Ben you always deliver weather in the car or just talking about the car.
Cannot wait to see the DBS
Love pinkeye❤ love the Grand National as well, it reminds me of the car in training day, that Denzel had 🤤
Oh yes!
God that gnx is so gorgeous
So they are putting the 5.2L Predator Ford engine in that Aston. Same engine that was in the 2020 Mustang Shelby GT500. 760 HP, 625 lb-ft.
These builds are way out there.
I’m sure the Aston Martin will be great. Kind of mixed feelings to take a car like this apart and change it so much.
Agreed. It's an amazing design and I love it but it's so far from the 1967original that it could just be a one off version of some other late 60/70's car, as it will have very little of the original. Aston does make a modern version of this car, and it's called a DBS.

At least once a year, my wife comments how much she misses the floor mounted dimmer switch. so cool
Awesome cars
I hope these guys get together and Stig runs the Austin at goodwood.
I love one half couldn't tell you what power plant only it was a Ford, the other half is like oh it's a 5.2 coyote engine
love it Ben
Scoop and a half 👏🏻
Can’t wait to see you drive Aston Martin, Ben! 😜
You and me both!
Sema famous for Bluetooth everything
60's for the DBS but started as a Straight 6 , designed by William Towns who designed the 70s wedge Lagonda saloon favoured by Arabic sheiks and Royalty.
That's the grown up CHANDLER BING!
Was that a manual transmission in the Grand National? He never said unless I missed it. I saw three pedals. GN's were autos.
super duty dashboard in a blazer!
Nice Ride ! Big money $$ 4700 man hours.
This is how cars were made before Henry Ford decided to mass produce them on his production line. Each customer would get their own special hand made car.
huh ring bros working on an aston?? crazy. . . . I need to talk them into restomodding my 2002tii!
Sheet metal bumper!
If I ever, I repeat...EVER come into some money, which will never happen...I swear I'm taking some of it to RB to get a car built.
He's not the usual Ring Brothers
Did you asked the steering position in the Aston Martin? will it be on the right or wrong side?
They are missing the mark by a mile or kilometer with the Aston Martin.
It looks like a Ford Mustang in the concept illustration.
Chip Foose did this with a XKE awhile back.
Totally destroyed everything great about the car’s styling that made it iconic.
i feel click baited but i like what i saw so you're lucky buddy😌
Ben,
I think you have a buddy there.........one that can provide an Aston......... No pressure.
I'd love to see them do their take on a Jensen Interceptor/FF.
Especially if they could redesign w/o that hideous rear glass...
sweet bro 👍🏻🔥💯💪🏻
Thanks for the visit
How many SEMA car can run and can run without overheating?
All that glitters is not gold.
i feel like there needs to be a counter on how many times he is replying with just “yah” lol
I have worked in the Auto and Insurance industries and have never even heard of a chance to attend sema. How the heck can someone attend?
Big Deal. It should be a two-door Station Wagon, THAT would be impressive.
Ben asks, pointing at the main dip switch "Whats that on the floor?" Ben..... BEN????? How do you Not know tha...... ben, you just became less coolerer :0(
