Doors, that do not open for anyone, open for Ben Collins. The Ring Brothers open door is a testament to the respect they have for him, and he for them.
Rather ironic that most of his breakout role in media was an anon non-speaking role. His 2010 book reveals a very personal bloke with a quick wit, so it is great we get to see him as Ben in the youtube era.
Having owned a few over the last 25 years and being around them since my dad bought his in 1986, I agree it’s one of the best customs I’ve seen. The only thing that looks a little off to me, is the front bumper. I like what they did with it, I just think it’s a little bit too tucked. Obviously the motor needs no introduction, Kenny is an absolute legendary engine builder and had one of the most well known Buicks in the racing scene. I was at probably the greatest Buick vs Mustang shootout ever, when Kenny blew his motor yet decided to stay in it the entire race, and still pulled it off, with a huge smoke trail behind him. My dad was one of the 16 cars on the team that year, and it was just an incredible sight to see. Anyway the Ring Brothers always get it done, and have now built my two favorite cars (66 chevelle and 87 GN) and made both absolutely legendary builds! All three of these builds are absolutely amazing
Impossible, as an American, not to love the fact that true car people, no matter where they are from or how high they are on the "food chain" (Ring Brothers are automotive royalty by virtue of their incredible work) are like giddy fan boys around the STIG. In glorious British fashion, Mr. Collins has always been incredibly humble and returns the love.
Love this stuff Ben! Actual meaningful insight allowing us behind the scenes of one the world's most prestigious, secretive, and capable custom car builders, absolutely cracking stuff. Can't help but wonder if some development driving for them maybe on the menu 🤔. Keep it up fella!
As always another great video from Ben. From driver who cant speak to a great presenter - his transormation is amazing. From great driving to be natural in front of the camera and microphone. Keep with the great work Ben. Cant wait for the next one.
God people really don't understand how many hours these builds take. Jesus when he was going through the engine bay alone is just a stupid amount of hours. Thanks for the interview and all the hard work Ben!
How’s does it feel knowing you are/were the inspiration for this build. You met them a year ago and they want you to be it’s first driver. They built it for you brotha. Never discount the amazing joy you brought so many car enthusiasts
That is so cool what they are planning with the Aston Martin rebuild!!! Can’t wait to see it! 🤩 That was the best cherry on top 🍒of this video! 🫶 Also, the interior in the Pink Eye…gorgeous! 💖😯 And the Blazer looks super cool! 😎 The front bumper on the Buick was my fave part on that rebuild. 👍👍
The bonnet/hood release on the Grand National made me tingle. The details on that car are so clean. Honestly don't feel like we deserve this channel, the production and content quality are so high.
Ring Bros have never built a thing I couldn't drool over. They go to such lengths for the smallest details that, the car looks like the car, but there's almost no area that hasn't been changed. Just the bumpers on the GN and lower valance. There's another guy who goes to those extremes that impressed me 20 years ago, Joe Martin does that same kind of thing. ~that's not just talent, it's also vision and passion like a renowned grand master artist of the last thousand years.
That Buick Grand National is terrifying. 1250hp from the old 3.8 litre V6? Where did all that power come from? There are still thousands of those motors sitting in clapped out Holden Commodores in Oz. Edit: I must say, that Aston DBS will be something completely amazing. Purists will vomit but it's not being built for them. I can't wait to see a video where Ben drives it.
The builds that Ringbrothers are doing are just amazing, the fabrication, and details are on another level. Can't wait to see their future builds and projects :) Ben great video, I can't wait to see you driving one of their creations :)
British Sports cars have always been full of quirky ergonomics and although some would cry sacrilege it is common sense to refine and perfect those Aston quirks to the modern human form while taking advantage of improved corner weight and balance as well as making it a manual gearbox :-) Cant wait!
That DBS though. The 'Eleanor' of Aston Martin resto mods. *Chef's Kiss* 🤌

I feel like it has lost anything that made the car iconic. It's barely recognizable, at least in the renders, and with them chopping and messing with it structurally, I doubt it will retain any of the driving capabilities. Might as well have done it from scratch.
SEMA is a huge auto business and industry meeting. (If not the biggest in the world) Ben must have heard a lot of sales pitches there and everything is pushed a little bit, etc... I appreciate that Ben is able to walk miles and remains patient and sane in the crazy grind of the SEMA show! Good Ben!
Another brilliant video Ben, love your content, you're a natural presenter i listen and hang off every word. I would love to see you drive their Aston Martin 😮 x
back in the day, R&T mag listed the GNX as the quickest 0-60 production car in america, 1987... listed as 301hp 400lb-ft, 3700 pounds curb weight... (memory serves and fades).... iirc time was 5.4 sec.... this one is very nice, Q-ship just like the original! Cheers! (ftr, my first car was a 1971 Buick Skylark 350-2bbl...)
BEN IS A GREAT GUY AND INFORMED, AND """CAN DRIVE ANYTHING REALLY WELL ON A TRACK!! CANT WAIT TI SEE IT DONE ,,WITH BEN TAKING IT OUT AND PROVE ,,, ITS GONNA KICK SOME
I was a surprised when he said he would love to use an Aston Martin V12 engine but just wasn't familiar enough with it. Genuine humility. It seems being Ben Collins has its advantages - that's pretty cool to see.
I am not buying that can't make the V12 work, They probably didn't want to throw their client under the bus, because the client just wants a Ford engine in it. at this level of build, they could make it work if that's what the client wanted.
Im imagining a restomod Vantage treatment for the DBS v-8. Ive always felt it was the prettier car than the refreshed V-8, and wanted to see a Vantage treatment for it.
They are missing the mark by a mile or kilometer with the Aston Martin. It looks like a Ford Mustang in the concept illustration. Chip Foose did this with a XKE awhile back. Totally destroyed everything great about the car’s styling that made it iconic.
I really like what they did with the body and dash of the Grand National. I wouldn’t have wanted the cage or the CO2 activated waste gates for everyday driving as it’s just an added complexity. However still very beautifully executed.
The Ringbrothers did a beautiful job on that Buick Grand National...GREAT BUILD.
Big Fan
For sure! I especially liked what they did to the front bumper! ❤
Doors, that do not open for anyone, open for Ben Collins.
The Ring Brothers open door is a testament to the respect they have for him, and he for them.
Stig has taken to being Ben like a duck to water, as perfect as Stig was i feel like we missed out on not having Ben sooner.
100% im glad we have him now.
Rather ironic that most of his breakout role in media was an anon non-speaking role. His 2010 book reveals a very personal bloke with a quick wit, so it is great we get to see him as Ben in the youtube era.
I have said it before Mr. Collins took the Stig from an oddity and gave the character a personality he is and will always be The Stig.
@@jimmyhughes5392 absolutely
We haven’t missed out on anything because he’s here now
Wow … that was automotive professionalism at its finest .. thank you 🙏
Glad you liked it!
These Guys are the Best !!! To be so Humble and Informative. Truly shows their Passion in each and every Build. Keep up the Great Builds
That is probably one of cleanst Grand National customs I've ever seen. Absolutely beautiful!
We agree!
The front of the car.. well yeah, maybe okay. But the rear end was really well finished!
Dream car... superr Radd
The 1600 Hp one on RoadsterShop too.

You are right. As are RetroPower Limited in England and Chip Foose in California.
Another very professional yet watchable post. Thanks Ben .
Glad you enjoyed it
Those traits are hardly mutually exclusive.
That Grand National ❤!!!!!
Love this stuff Ben! Actual meaningful insight allowing us behind the scenes of one the world's most prestigious, secretive, and capable custom car builders, absolutely cracking stuff. Can't help but wonder if some development driving for them maybe on the menu 🤔. Keep it up fella!
Really excited to see what they do with the Aston. They always do top notch work.
Same here! Looking forward to it!! 😍😁
Absolutely bad ass cars these guys produce works of art that perform.
That Ringbrothers Aston will be AMAZING!
Fr! Can’t wait to see it! 😍🤩😎
The Ring Brothers ! Great guys, I spent some time with them @ the 2009 SEMA show. :)
Always like your collaboration, but these guys and cars are just perfect.
As always another great video from Ben. From driver who cant speak to a great presenter - his transormation is amazing. From great driving to be natural in front of the camera and microphone.
Keep with the great work Ben. Cant wait for the next one.
Thanks for that!
What a vid, what a company. Thanks for using your brand to showcase this talent. And hell yeah, we want to see some bros at the Goodwood!
They've made some beautiful cars. The Aston is going to be epic. Nice one, thanks Ben.
Can't wait!
Always loved that era of Aston Martin as well. Looks like a cross between a Ferrari Daytona and a Chevelle.
I thought it looked like a worked over blend of 2011 and 2015 Mustang.
God people really don't understand how many hours these builds take. Jesus when he was going through the engine bay alone is just a stupid amount of hours. Thanks for the interview and all the hard work Ben!
"The young guys don't even know what those are..." as Ben laughs nervously and tries to look like he knows what a headlight dimmer switch is :)
The 71 V8 DBS concept looks too good to be true. I'm actually drooling on that
Same here! Can’t wait to see it! Hope some updates get posted about it. Would be cool to follow its progress. 😍😎
Ringbros cars are literally something else, very clever guys!
The amount of work put into these cars is incredible!
the inside of that blazer is what the interior of the cyber truck SHOULD look like IMO
You're so right!
The hummer hx also
Breathtaking interior.
Amen bro! 😎
How’s does it feel knowing you are/were the inspiration for this build. You met them a year ago and they want you to be it’s first driver. They built it for you brotha. Never discount the amazing joy you brought so many car enthusiasts
Ben that will be so cool for you to drive it and give a review of it! Especially if you can get it to Goodwood.
That is so cool what they are planning with the Aston Martin rebuild!!! Can’t wait to see it! 🤩 That was the best cherry on top 🍒of this video! 🫶

I totally agree!
Been waiting on some Sema content, thank you 👌🏻
Hope you enjoyed it!
Loved the dimmer switch feature on the Grand National
Camera man. Great Job Sir.
The blazer is my absolute favorite
That was fab! awesome , i want them all! so cool to see these new ideas and innovation.
Digging the 80s stuff, it was new when I was learning to drive so somewhat aspirational.
One if the best cars made in the eighties. Looks stunning. Great workmanship. Nick Melbourne Australia
Glad you enjoyed it
Those Blazers they're doing are top class, something new and unique on each one.

The guys a genius builder but humble with it
Superb

You and Mike - great combo. Thanks for letting us have a peek.
" Get sliced and diced in the grill" Right right " I love it " :D
I'd love one of those Chevrolet Monte Carlo's that featured in the film Training Day
Love pinkeye❤ love the Grand National as well, it reminds me of the car in training day, that Denzel had 🤤
Oh yes!
Super cool. I’m looking forward to his his driving impression plus it will be very interesting to see what the Ring Brothers do to a non NA ride
You and me both!
The grand tour retires and Ben takes over, its poetic really. 👍
I would love to see the Ring Brothers at Goodwood! Thanks Ben!
You got it!
After all these years the Cuda is still a great looking car.
Omg…! The Stig had to ask about the dimmer switch!
Wonderful video and thank you Ben for letting the craftsmen talk uninterupted about their creations.
Glad you enjoyed it
That DBS though. The 'Eleanor' of Aston Martin resto mods. *Chef's Kiss* 🤌

I honestly thought it was a mustang for a second.
DBS "Eleanor"? No for God's sake! 🙏
It sure is weird having the stig be interested in my town's builders
SEMA is a huge auto business and industry meeting. (If not the biggest in the world) Ben must have heard a lot of sales pitches there and everything is pushed a little bit, etc... I appreciate that Ben is able to walk miles and remains patient and sane in the crazy grind of the SEMA show! Good Ben!
They definitely took a step back with that Challenger, GN and GMC were badass
Be really interesting to see how Ring Bros Aston compares to Retropowers
Appreciate that Ben doesn't ask many stupid questions. Nothing ruins a great walkaround/interview like a question that makes you go... WTF?
Another brilliant video Ben, love your content, you're a natural presenter i listen and hang off every word. I would love to see you drive their Aston Martin 😮 x
Maybe one day!
I’d love to see the Ring Brothers do a Jensen Interceptor. Definitely excited to see the Aston completed.
Amazing vision and execution RB!
So sick Ben. Cheers man.
back in the day, R&T mag listed the GNX as the quickest 0-60 production car in america, 1987... listed as 301hp 400lb-ft, 3700 pounds curb weight... The ring brothers did a yellow Pantera ❤ unreal my favourite
These guys are killing it such amazing work. I think it would be so hard not to spend a fortune at SEMA.
Cheers Ben really enjoyed that and those guys are awesome. That Aston will be superb. 😀
Glad you enjoyed it
BEN IS A GREAT GUY AND INFORMED, AND """CAN DRIVE ANYTHING REALLY WELL ON A TRACK!! CANT WAIT TI SEE IT DONE ,,WITH BEN TAKING IT OUT AND PROVE ,,, ITS GONNA KICK SOME
Great job, Ryan!!
Very cool and so nice to offer Ben to drive it.
Yes it was!
Cool... Thank You!! Great Job !!
Glad you liked it!
I would name an engine stinkeye before pinkeye. 😅
That Grand National gives me the Fizz 😂
I kinda want the Ringbrothers to build me a 56 Cadillac on the drivetrain of a Lucid Sapphire.
Dang...just found your channel...New Sub!!✌️
Welcome aboard!
I was a surprised when he said he would love to use an Aston Martin V12 engine but just wasn't familiar enough with it. Genuine humility. It seems being Ben Collins has its advantages - that's pretty cool to see.

I honestly thought this was Nurburgring content 😅
Still glad to have watched this... some awesome cars at SEMA
Glad you enjoyed it!
Ben , if the AM comes out anything like the render , wowsers
Mad Max meets 007
THEE Stig... at SEMA. What could be better in this world? ONLY The return of the Almighty himself
Cannot wait to see the DBS
nice work Ben; thanks
This was an incredible video.
Im imagining a restomod Vantage treatment for the DBS v-8. Ive always felt it was the prettier car than the refreshed V-8, and wanted to see a Vantage treatment for it.
That National is so cool.
Awesome video Ben, now that is how you do a SEMA video man!
Glad you liked it!
They are missing the mark by a mile or kilometer with the Aston Martin.
It looks like a Ford Mustang in the concept illustration.
Chip Foose did this with a XKE awhile back.
Totally destroyed everything great about the car’s styling that made it iconic.
Absolutely incredible next level
Scoop and a half 👏🏻
Beautiful builds
Ben This was an epic video, and I know how secretive the Ringland Brothers are! And I think it’s getting a Coyote engine in it 😮
I really like what they did with the body and dash of the Grand National. I wouldn’t have wanted the cage or the CO2 activated waste gates for everyday driving as it’s just an added complexity. However still very beautifully executed.
Love your videos Ben is so professional and knows what he's talking about👍👍
Thanks 👍
Ben you always deliver weather in the car or just talking about the car.
So they are putting the 5.2L Predator Ford engine in that Aston. Same engine that was in the 2020 Mustang Shelby GT500. 760 HP, 625 lb-ft.
That’s an amazing MUSTANG THEY ARE BUILDING 🤣🤣🤣
My thoughts exactly. Totally ruined everything great about the Aston Martin.
Nice back end in black
Was that a manual transmission in the Grand National? He never said unless I missed it. I saw three pedals. GN's were autos.
At least once a year, my wife comments how much she misses the floor mounted dimmer switch. so cool
Sheet metal bumper!
I hope these guys get together and Stig runs the Austin at goodwood.
Did you asked the steering position in the Aston Martin? will it be on the right or wrong side?
super duty dashboard in a blazer!
