The Kinnect can be repurposed for VR full body tracking (Amethyst) or as a 3D scanner for 3D modelling and printing. Definitely an under rated product if you can pick up the separate PC power lead and USB.
Good to know that those items were worth it in terms of monetary value paid, though sometimes, it's not just about selling things on to make a profit. I like the fact that you now have a Windows XP based tower PC for XP-era gaming! Note: If selling on eBay you have to take into account eBay fees, postage fees, promoted listings fees, and the possibility that an item may be damaged upon arrival.
Completely agree. Never really planning to sell anything I got just cool to know if there is any value still at a carboot. I'm very excited to get the XP machine setup and maybe look for some upgrades
Indeed, I echo your thoughts: if you're going to sell anything with storage in it, at least do the decent thing and factory reset the device or wipe the storage clean and start afresh or wipe the storage clean ready for the next user. Don't leave your old stuff (documents/photos/other) on a computer or phone for someone else to go rifling through, because you never know what you've left behind...

Where was that car boot? Last time I went to one in Northampton, probably 2 years ago, they were trying to sell laptops like that for £125. Needless to say I didn't buy one. Tech there was very overpriced.
Some of the Linx tablets came with an Xbox controller "frame" which was kind of cool as you could use it to play Windows games and basic emulation (GBA etc). The controller looks like a stretched sideways giant U and the tablet literally slides into it. I used mine to play Legend Of Heroes Trails In The Sky 3 PC version as the Sony PSP version never made it into English.

I did similar with a Fujitsu laptop I got from Swansea car boot for a fiver. Not the most powerful machine but perfectly adequate for older XP games.
You'll get a scart hdmi converter on line dirt cheap. You don't need an old tv.
