The Surron Ultra Bee appears that it will bridge the gap between the popular Surron Lightbee X and the full size Surron Storm Bee electric dirt bike.
The Ultra Bee is is producing 12.5kW of peak power, which is double that of the smaller Lightbee. The battery is a removable, 74 volt, 55 Ah battery, totaling a capacity of just over 4 kWh.
The Ultra Bee is suspended by a fully adjustable KKE fork and KKE shock. It’s got 19” wheels front and rear and the bike weighs 187 pounds.
The Surron Ultra Bee price is currently $6,499 and you can find it for sale on the ECR Marketplace: bit.ly/ECRMark...

I'm looking forward to knowing the actual usable range at moderate enduro speed.
If you could dry that battery to the maximum to know operational range and if you can load at 60 fps to make it more immersive, that would be great, you do an excellent job congratulations.
для работы курьером очень хороший. есть съёмный аккумулятор
I've ask someone for their opinion on another channel but I don't think I've gotten a straight forward answer so I still can't decide so I'll like to ask you personally.. if you had a choice between admitjet armor or ultra bee which would it be as a daily mostly street commuter performance and quality wise.. I just don't know which one to purchase atm
That looks like the almost perfect evolution of the sur Ron. Better mx wheels and factory upgraded suspension options would be my wish.
We cannot wait to dig into this bike! 21" up front 18/19 MX tire in the rear, Suspension tuning and upgrades, I think we're going to be able to make this an extremely capable bike with fewer mods than an LBX requires for the faster/bigger riders out there!! 2023 is going to be fun!
Agree on that! I wonder if I could swap my 21/18 set up onto it?
Do you think you’ll be able to put a normal mx tyre on the back? Swing arm looks narrower than a full size bike so I’m thinking it’ll run.
Excited to see what you guys come up with!
What power mods might be possible? i heard somewhere its the same motor as a lbx, if so what's possible?
@@ChrisLittle-eu5qq whoever told you that has no idea what they are talking about lol. Not the same motor. Nor the same frame, suspension, brakes, seat, bars, stem or anything else for that matter. The name surron is about all that’s the same.
Great stuff. Thanks!
What’s the real range on it?
Can't wait to ride this around town
I've gone from 280 pounds down to 215 pounds so I'm finally under the maximum load for a Surron. Will have to see if I can keep the pounds off for another year and possibly get below 200 pounds before I sink any money in a Surron, but the Ultra Bee does look tempting. Look forward to your review!
I'm 5'11 230 with a talaria sting. Still goes 45 46mph
Nice dude, you can get there just keep doing what your doing!
I’m currently 280 and my Surron does great, I upped the sprocket size to a 58 tooth as well, but I’m hitting the gym hard to try and get to the 220 range I’m sure it would help.
@@HuffDaddySurron yeah but battery drains out quick right
What about battery drain, how many miles?
I’ll buy in a heartbeat IF it can be made street legal in the US. That is the absolute biggest downfall of the regular Surron.
Anyone know if you can get it street legal ????
We can't answer that for you. Check in the State where you will register it. Every State is different. In my State, we can register and plate for the street any dirtbike (ICE or electric), ATV or UTV very easily. Your State will be different. Call your Title and Registration department on street legal requirements for VIN, headlight, taillight, brake light, turnsignals (some states don't require these) and DOT approved tires).
Well I guess a better question is will it have a valid VIN (surron didnt) and ability to get certificate of origin because Luna couldn’t give that . If those two things are available then we can get it street legal. I’m in NC and it has to be plated to even go on OHV roads.
@@jeffs8387 Initial reports are that both the street legal version and offroad version of the Ultra Bee will have VIN and certificate of origin. In most States, you can have an inspection and the State will issue a VIN/title even if the vehicle does not come with one from the manufacturer. As long as it has everything it needs to be street legal. Same process for a home built trailer, home built motorcycle, etc. Same process for Surron Light Bee with dual sport kit added.
Holy cow ! FINALLY !!! 🙌
This platform will be absolutely awesome for mods !
I'm really impatient to see the bike with an enduro wheels set and of course with more poweeeer haha ! I'm curious too to know the weight before and after a new 21/18 wheels set bc the goal is not to come close to the storm bee weight 😅
Got one on the way. Gonna ride it till the tires bald and put street tires on the stock rims and get the 18"/21" combo with knobby!!!
killer look!I want to watch how it performs on steep, rocky technical trails "Hard Enduro".
Does the Ultra Bee come with a Title or Certificate of Origin? I'm asking because one of those are needed to get a California Green Sticker for riding in State and County parks...
X2! Standard VIN number?
It will have
@@ChrisBacarella yes, the NHTSA standard VIN
Most OHV parks don't require either in California. Hollister doesn't even check. I have a MoPed plate on my Light Bee though.
in my opinion, electric vehicles only make sense if you have a full solar charging setup at home, so atleast you know its costing nothing to use.
Nice first look vid! I'll be waiting for your trail review with further thoughts on suspension and range. I assume you'll compare it to the Freerde E-XC at some point :)
I am most interested about how it will do at a hare scramble. Please, please, please take it on a 2+ hour hare scramble race paced ride in similar terrain, and elevation changes and see how many miles and minutes it will go on a battery charge.
Can't wait for an off-road range test. Too bad Rampart is snowed in.....once you have some idea of range, I would love to know your estimated trail range at a fast Enduro pace.
The video on the single trail would be great. Also side by side with a light bee.
Looks cool but the thing that is great about the Sur Ron X is it being stealth where you can ride it anywhere and super light weight.
A filmer would be appreciated. Watching the bike in action, not just the rider POV. Great stuff!
Having all the surrons bikes next to each other to compare would be a nice. Stock but also a modified light bee next to an ultra be with same wheels 18/21
Yes please 🙏
Ultra bee is probably better for the price
@@slick4415 yeah definitely. But More like a dirt bike but less like a mtn bike
Not a bad offering
How about comparing it to the Storm Bee setup for proper offroad ?
this thing is gonna end up hurting a lot of sur ron riders who have some extra cash lol
Always enjoy your reviews Tucker, I bought my first SurRon more than two years ago because of your race video, it was so fun to see you push it across the finish to beat many expert riders after the start in Sport class. Thanks for this and Sur Ron has a great salesman in you.
How tall and heavy are you? I'm 5'11" and 155 lbs out of the shower so it should be a blast.
It's like the 3 little bears having to choose... Storm is a heavy pig, LiteBee is too small and needs too many mods but the Ultra could be just right.
I guess you have the off road version as it has no blinky's?
What's your estimate on the range it has for single track riding?
20 miles
I see 20 singletrack on my LB on stock 60/32 battery. UB should be double.
This one looks the most promising so far. Too bad we are not getting the plated street legal version here in the US.
I know your post is 4 months old, but I just wanted to say you CAN get them plated, you just have to get it registered as a "modified vehicle" which will require more extensive inspection.
For the price compared to modded light bees this is the way I’m sure there will be mods for this thing too
These things are going to be targeted by police so fast. 23 might be the last year of low-accountability riding for e-mtb.
Ooo exciting. Do you have any idea on range? I'd race hare scrambles with m Light Bee and the 20 miles of offroad range is barely cutting it. I would think it should get close to double the range of the Light Bee. How is the regen? Can you dial in heavier regen?
wow cool ! I tought we would have waited much longer since the anouncement !
@Avenged Sefenvold Luckily we didn't have to wait too long! We'll announce when Ultra Bee's are expected to deliver to dealers when that date becomes more realistic.
Seems like it will be super fun! How would you compare it to a Freeride for the money? Considering you can pick up lightly used Freeride's now for about $8500
I second this, would like to see a comparison against the Freeride.
Future is here 😳
I wouldn't be surprised if tires alone resolve the front end wash out.
Sounds well worth buying this over the sur ron X but for those who bought into the sur ron x in the last year or 2 with 5 to 6K invested already, this offering isn't feasible unless one's pockets lined with green/silver/gold or the lucifarian crypto.
Umm, ever thought of selling what you have and trading up? Craigslist😊
pre ordered cant wait!!!
Off-road range is my largest concern. Being able to do more singletrack miles is my main priority.
Carry extra battery in a backpack
@@MrErichonda30 prefer to see this do over 40 miles on stock battery off-road. Not interested in carrying an extra 18s1p pack.
@@MrErichonda30 you’re not strapping a spare battery on your back 😂
Should be pretty decent for single track flows trails as it has more battery capacity then my 60v 60ah chi battery.
Having owned a modded Lite Bee, as well as being a dealer for Nicot E-beasts I'll have to say that the range is all going to be about the same, you'll be lucky to get 30 miles on single track (depending on the grades). Every e-bike has never met its claimed range. You are looking at 45-60 mins of ride time on avg.
Might be a dumb question but why no abs? Too expensive, heavy, not wanted or what?
Sold. Can’t wait for mine to come in. As always great first/second ride tucker.
I'm ordering one too!
Me 3
XX sold today. Pre-order placed for Ultra 1 hour later.
how long lasts the battery when you ride like this?
Where is your store located? I would love to stop by and film a review for my overlander/camper viewers. This would make for a great RV vehicle. Its small lightweight fast silent-ish and doesnt need gas. I can see this on the back of my 2022 tundra on road trips to overland expo and other camp trips.
6,5k you guys is us are lucky, its like 12-15k€ around here :D
Thanks for the vid, can't wait for the rest. I'd love to see this in an all round (trail track) comparison to any of the 250 4s or 125 2s as I feel this is a bett comparison to the full-size 450 4s.
Looks like the perfect bike! This is what was in my mind when looking for E motorcycles. I can't wait to see one in person. May just order one and take the leap. This is the max weight that I want to be on now days for hard core off road. Thanks for your info.
definitely the best looking bike by surron
what no turbo or reverse button like on my storm bee???? ultra bee looks great will have to get one! better than a talaria?
My Fav Surron but its pretty expensive to afford
Great review! Sounds awesome, can't wait to hear more of your thoughts on it, especially suspension tweaks, and wheels. Got one on order, the wait is killing me! Ha ha. Will be very interesting to compare it to my Alta, way less power, but way lighter, should be fun to see what its all about on the trails.
👏👏GIVE FULL REVIEW THE TRUE OPERATIONAL RANGE IS THE KEY🥵
I'd love something like this for light off roading. Small, light, torqie (however you spell that) and almost maintenance free. I'd have range anxiety though which I feel like would ruin the fun.
Wonder if 70/100/19 front and 110/80/19 rear Washougal would help the handling issues Tucker was referring to.
Snow bike conversion options?!
The nuclear question is what is the realistic range for an expert offroad.
The light bee is best compared to a 110cc what would you say is the best ICE equivalent bike? 150r, 150f, 230f, 125 2t?
Gr8 video Man! That bike looks amazing - but - (there's always a but) that battery will be too heavy to lift out in 10 seconds unless you're a cyborg terminator from the future. If I'm not mistaken, the battery looks like two Light Bee batteries fused together which would weigh approx 20 kilos. For me just trying to put my light bee battery back in without chipping the paintwork on the frame is a constant challenge. I don't have the luxury of a garage with electricity so I need to charge my battery indoors and keep the battery inside during the winter. However I'm sure this bike will indeed be a great competitor for similar larger dirt bikes with such a low price!!
I just want a bike like this that won't break my bank :(
When you go for a weekend of riding and it's over in 30 minutes 🤣
I had a test ride on the Ultra Bee yesterday. Absolutely loved it and ordered one on the spot. I'll pick mine up on Friday and ride it home most likely. It should fit nicely in my stable and complements my Storm Bee quite nicely for even better technical trail riding where the Storm Bee struggles. The only mod I need immediately is bar risers because I'm a tall fellow (6'2" with a long torso). I think the dealer will do that for me but it's a simple change with lots of crossover parts for that purpose.
One nice thing is they are cheaper in Mongolia, probably because China is next door and maybe taxes and other extras are less. My price OTD is $5400 (USD equivalent).
If you had to choose only one out of the storm and the ultra which would you own and why
@@xzavierhaywood2578 For myself, it's too early to tell. I only got a quick ride on the Ultra Bee and I'm supposed to pick it up from the shop tomorrow.
For anybody else, I'd probably lean towards the Ultra Bee because I think it's going to be a bigger hit and will have better support, parts, after market gear etc. I've had difficulty getting parts for my Storm Bee and there's no after market support to speak of.
I think the Ultra Bee will probably hit the sweet spot for lots of folks. Right in between the Light Bee and the Storm Bee at a decent price. I don't think it needs as much modifying as the Light Bee. Probably just a tire upgrade (eventually) and bar risers (immediately) for me.
Within a month, I'll probably have a more definitive answer. It's still too cold and too much snow to ride much yet. Short rides are probably possible.
@@xzavierhaywood2578 Isnt the storm like twice the price?
21” front will probably solve the twitchy thing. It’s like they design them to put a 21” front on.
One thing it really needs for us MX guys... Foot lever Rear Brakes!!!
wonder if the forks will fit the stock LBX
Looks very interesting. I ride eastern single track on an Alta EXR,. Is there anyway you can make a comparison to that?
How much clearance do you have in the swing arm for bigger tires? Range, guessing a knobby 21" up front will help with the washing out. Do you feel flex in the rear swing arm like the light bee?
Well with their being two options for rear tires (80/100-19 or 90/90-19) and lots of clearance with those tires its not hard to imagine larger rear tire setups. There already are a couple of ultra bees floating around in the wild with 18/21 setups utilizing larger wider 18” tires no issue
Good question on the flex. That drives me nuts on my Light Bee.
@@sur_ron_crash_test_dummy it one of the reasons I got rid of my Surron and got a Talaria.
If there is a jump that you barely make on a full charge, at what battery level do you notice that it's no longer doable?
Very intriguing bike. I'm sure you'll cover this in upcoming video but are the wheels beefier than stock light bees and will the swing arm allow bigger tire options? Thanks. Love your work ✌️
Yes wheels are wider and have larger tires mounted to them. Rear swing arm is wider but the limiting factor on surron models with jackshaft is the chain line. The ultra bee has more room for bigger tires then the LBX
will the bring a supermoto edition ? that will be awsome!
will you do an update video to the bike? in special for this front end "problem" ?
That bike will never outperform a normal dirt bike with 19" front wheel.
It was never meant to …… that’s why there’re different categories 🙄
ADventure rider here, is there an option that would manage a 450Km daily range on dirt, A full day basically for a tour in between charges. Which option gives best range and weight
How does this compare to the storm bee and would it suit the larger rider 220 Lbs. 110 kg? 6'1" 183 cm?
Fits perfect bro
21" frt should help the corners
My daughter is just getting into rider . I thought about klx 230r beginner bike . She is 5’9 inches 135 pounds and 23 years old. I think the learning curve would be much faster on this? What do you think? Is she to big? . Thanks
Is the Surron Ultra Bee the Glock 19 of emotorcycles? It seems to be a coveted favorite among street hooligans and professional motorcyclists alike. IDK. Someone tune me up.
Is there more space for bigger tires?
It looks like it needs them for sure!
How does the Ultra Bee compare to your recent Light Bee X project bike? Are they close together or are there big differences between them?
From my point of view owning a Light Bee in Europe, where you can ride the Light Bee legally on the road with a registration, it would make sense to change the whole bike to a bigger one, instead of modifying the Light Bee and losing its legality.
Just don't tell the police
These are so sick! Don't think I can justify the price tho. I built an eBike with the same 12kw power, but a smaller capacity for 2.5k. of course this is much more professionally built, but I don't think I'd pay 3k for what's just extras
$2000 more, Stock x $4550 vs Stock Ultra bee $6499 gets you bigger motor, bigger battery, bigger frame, better shock, and better brakes. I think thats a great deal. The battery alone is almost twice the size.
so i am thinking about getting a surron light bee x, i’m 14, and just wondering if it’s any good or worth getting? I’m trying to save too get one, many people have recommended it, just need your honest opinion?
Hypothetically if you put a bac4000/8000 on the ultra bee, could it go faster?
Bac8000 yes, bac4000 no. The 8000 can handle more phase amps and can crank up the power quite a bit while handling more load/heat.
Appreciate the review, I sold my 14kw kuberg freeride after finally admitting it just to small for someone 6'4" and 212lbs. I was content with the power and range but I just couldn't open up the ergo's enough for the standing position to not be to far over the front wheel, I had all my control cables maxxed out with bars and risers. Hopefully this bike will be some better. I'm tired of waiting on the storm and I really did enjoy the lightweight and flick ability of the kuberg and the midsize platform. I do know someone with a Talaria and have ridden it a little, will probably go that route for my kid's. I am curious why the Storm is taking several years to get to the U.S. and how this one is getting here so much faster? Not a complaint by any means, excited for it.
If I want a full size bike I will ride the KTM 300.
What you need is a Nicot E-Beast for your size, it's a full sized dirtbike with 12kw max.
Does anyone here know about the legality of these things for 14 year olds in Sweden? Like restrictions and stuff
The forks are too short. Yall better off waiting for the Apollo e dirt bike. Way better....
Since, stock, it's not an enduro or SM bike, can you modify it to get it DMV registered for road use ?
Is this bike suitable for someone 5'6? Or will my feet not be able to touch the ground lol
That thing is a beautiful beast
It's seems my bank account will be drained again 😂😂😂
Can't wait to get mine in!
Thanks, Tucker, that sounds like an amazing bike, looking forward to your full review, range test and all that other good stuff :)
I wonder how does it compare with Storm Bee? I've just got a deposit on the Storm and I am pretty sure I want the full-size dirt bike, but I cannot stop thinking if Ultra Bee with some mods wouldn't be a better machine.
im gona like this bike more if its actually street legal
it would be interesting to compare it with EM
Cool !
The Rawrr Mantis, crushes this bike. Check them out
It gives that 125 vibe, but in a good way
how tall are you / weight if you don't mind sharing?
WOW!! I just love how quiet it is!!
Looks soooo much better then the other ones
As a amateur rider. This one vs the storm bee?
OMG, the rear brake disaster continues, bizarre.
Motard this puppy for the daily commute :)
Questions:
Seat height?
Actual weight?
Trail riding range for each mode, not just cruise on the street took you run out of better, actual practice range test?
Items that can be removed to save weight?
Lap times between the stock the sur ron models.
If I have a bac4k and bypassed light bee is it worth the upgrade? Is the added weight a deterrent?
For sure this will crush the range of your bypassed light bee battery.
@@surronsd that's the hope and what I expect. Just asking questions
@@kyleray4952 for sure dude, seat height is 2.75-3” taller then lightbee, 187lbs with all the street legal options, with this not having the mirrors, rear plate bracket, rear passenger rear pegs, rear passenger handles, rear tailight I’d imagine closer to 183-185 lbs.
How tall are you? Is it comfortable?
Love the videos. This is the bike I was asking for when I got my first SurRon. Time to upgrade.
