This week you're coming to hang with us for a day in the MCM shed while we work on our nuggety JDM cars... we have to fix a few things on the Fairlady to get it through engineering and the MIRA gets some flare love. So grab a snack/drink and settle in for almost 40 minutes of hanging with nuggets. We made this episode 'Disrespected Nose' Style. No Music. No Voice Over. Minimal Editing. Enjoy!
marty just a random tip. to restore old rubber soak it in a mixture of rubbing alcohol and wintergreen oil works great on old motorcycle parts. give it a try on the old strips
Mighty Car Mods It makes me so happy seeing another MCM vid come up on my feed. Got your book in the mail a couple weeks ago and it's a trip down memory lane flipping through and seeing all the cars you two have owned and worked on. Cheers from Ohio, USA!
U guys are wrong id watch a two hour video if you uploaded it lol. You gotta know people just like watching you guys. Its your attitude & persona's that makes us want more lol.
Yeah, this felt like their first vids where they were just messing around in the driveway. Now it's just in a mad shop. I'd love more of this raw footage.
3:28 -- google translate app says that this says "Emission Control" 4:11 -- google translate again... looks like the lettering in the white circle is "Lead Free", then off to the side in the blue "Please use unleaded petrol", and then the app can't seem to read the tiny characters at the bottom...
I found a Japanese knife while I was scuba diving. The police were called. It was emotional and I fixed it. You'll never believe knife number seven, you'll cry.
Yep - This is the reality of car modifying - many, many, many hours of lying on concrete trying to figure stuff out and doing little fiddly jobs that take 10x as long as you expected. Then having to re-do that and something else because you didn't plan for the 2nd thing to run over the 1st thing, then thing 3 making you re-re do thing 1, but having to disconnect and re-fill thing 2, again. We chose this path.
Finished watching the video the first time, scrolled down to read the comments and they werent loading. Hit refresh on the page and video was removed...silver lining, I get to watch it again and try to see whats different...
These episodes aren’t boring! They’re probably the best of them all, because as car enthusiasts we all love seeing the intricate details that go into a build.
Most contractors that have to use tools rigorously use Milwaukee for sawsalls. Hitachi for impact drills and wireless sawsalls. Ryobi for the easy stuff because they’re light. Hitachi for sanders and smaller wireless tools because the batteries are universal
Enjoyed all 37 minutes and 41 seconds of this video felt like I was just chillinn in the MCM shed not being able to help but not in the way either lol! Awesome video Mates!
I really enjoy these stripped back to your roots type videos, they’re much more like actually working on cars. I want some of that rubber trim for my arches... It’s also nice to hear you guys conversing as mates in a more normal way, it’s refreshing to watch. Excellent work gentlemen!
To remove something glued with hot melt, you can use isopropyl alcohol. Add some to the joint, let it sit for a bit, it should come right off. But it can destroy some kinds of plastic, so you have to be careful.
on to days episode we put these three bolts in and move the engine. on next weeks episode we will have the tail shaft in place... close up of turbo yoda looking slightly puzzled going yerrrrrrr
My favorite videos of you d00dz are when you're both just chillin and working on the cars for real. This video is a great example of this - Keep up the amazing work!
I'd be really interested in seeing what the weight distribution in the Fairlady ends up being. it's clear that you guys have put a lot of thought into its build, but at the same time, anytime you end up doing a full swap/rebuild you need to make compromises. either way, I'm excited to see the finished product!
mark houston All RB engines have cast iron blocks. along with turbo, extra exhaust work, the intercooler and the fact that its a physically bigger engine, it's going to weigh more.
I loved this (non-)episode. Wrenching on similar projects to you two, I'm often put out by how much time gets eaten up by little things, like making sure all your lights and lamps work. It seems so trivial, and you'd be tempted to budget a few minutes for it, but then your whole day is gone. Nice to know I'm not alone. Appreciate the show of solidarity!
I know you guys worried it might be boring, but I enjoyed the laid back feel, kinda like just hanging with you guys. Good times to be had is what it's about, cheers from the UK ~_^
The green and white Japanese sticker with red script is a DOT/Emission decal, which says " Emission Control". The blue and white sticker says "LEAD FREE" and "Please use unleaded gasoline"
I started my Ryobi tool collection recently because they started sponsoring your show. Already got 6 18v One+ tools to replace my old cheap junk. They work really well!
Can't be just me that finds these just as entertaining as the edited/ thought through episodes. Good to see some raw footage and listen to the random stuff you say when working on your awesome nuggets :P
@25:17, like this is why I love you guys, and why the car culture is filled with hard working, positive, sometimes picky people. I truly enjoyed this video, as a lover of nuggets and Zs, and garage banter. Thanks for letting us be part of your show days too.
Really enjoy seeing video of the smaller details that need to get done on project cars - thank you for doing this episode. Always appreciate the humor and information in your videos. Loving the Nissan!
You'll love the portable air inflater! Works great when you need to adjust tire pressures on the go. Like when you go to the drag strip and then need to air up for the drive home.
That pause and distant stare from Marty when Moog asks if the Mira is his favorite car... That's the look of a man who truly loves cars. He was weighing that decision carefully. Damn, I love you guys.
Loving your work guys, and had lots of fun and charging time after bad days watching your series, so it was time I got some stuff from your shop. Thanks a lot! Will shoot you some pictures later.
Guys we love this kinda video. Your audience are drawn to your personalities and the fact your working on cars. We love the highly edited stuff, which I think you should still do for like final reveals and specials, but I’d sacrifice fast paced weekly videos for videos like this three times a week
I think its good of you guys to post videos like this once in a while. the mcm production quality has grown leaps and bounds over the years, and videos like this takes mcm back to the driveway days in my opinion. plus its nice to see you guys wrench how a lot of us do. like, i have a project that should take an hour to do, three hours later it's still not done lol
Is the battery supposed to be mounted with the posts facing the firewall? Seems to me to be a very risky thing having the positive terminal right next to the firewall.
Todd McCarter Except when trying to put jumper cable clamps on the positive post shorts the positive post to the firewall. I really do wish they would get a battery that has the positive post away from the firewall and fender.
this wasn't boring. you might find it boring but i genuinely enjoy watching this sort of video. i like to see what you're doing to your cars, because owning and modding a car is all about the tedious little things. it's not always about big turbos and dynos. don't ever think that guys. if this video was 2 hours long i'd watch it.
Hello chaps, You called this tedious, but the truth is, you guys and your humour have really brightened up my world. The work you’ve done is superb, and the show is worth its weight in gold. Thanks guys.
Genuinely enjoyed the video reminded me of the days when everyone would come over to my place and we'd be working on various bits on our cars all weekend. Thanks MCM.
Never have I been in love with a car more than I am in love with the 240z. That car has been done right in every way. Classic looks with modern running gear 😍😍
NickKnackZ28 dang, beat me to the punch! I was waiting for the video all day and like this week’s Skid Factory I couldn’t wait any longer...just in time for the video to pop into RUclips existence! Must be quantum entanglement!
Actual love this form of filming by you guys! Every episode is perfection though but this is reminiscent to the old days when I’d watch you in high school and you were working on nuggets and blue turds!
Loved this Anti-Special video. It's cool because this video is about the journey, not the destination. And all journeys are filled with mundane stuff but also with lots of little wins. And little wins are awesome too. Thanks and love your work.
If your still having problems with your side skirts sticking and waterproofing try Sikaflex 221 automotive. Comes in black or white and can be sprayed over 👍🏻 hope that helps
This ep is like a mashup of Big Brother and MCM. I actually really enjoy just listening to the banter without the music. Must be way easier to produce too!
I really enjoyed this video. It would be so cool to hang out with yall and piddle on the projects. Yall seem like very cool down to earth dudes that love to work on their projects. Hope to one day visit Australia and maybe even see some cars first hand.
Marty & Moog, with the Fiarlady Z. you could buy led bulbs and a solid state flasher, to upgrade the turn signals and hazards. to keep the plastic housing from going brittle, to Decrease electricale strain on the decades old wiring Harness. But still get brighter, stronger, and longer lasting turn signales.

Mighty Car Mods "I'm going to take Too Sexy..." where? To the skid factory??
Mighty Car Mods nice one XD
marty just a random tip. to restore old rubber soak it in a mixture of rubbing alcohol and wintergreen oil works great on old motorcycle parts. give it a try on the old strips
Mighty Car Mods It makes me so happy seeing another MCM vid come up on my feed. Got your book in the mail a couple weeks ago and it's a trip down memory lane flipping through and seeing all the cars you two have owned and worked on. Cheers from Ohio, USA!
Mighty Car Mods Moog looks a bit baked.
U guys are wrong id watch a two hour video if you uploaded it lol. You gotta know people just like watching you guys.
Its your attitude & persona's that makes us want more lol.
DxDiagMT I just commented something very similar. I knew I wasn't going to be the only one who thinks like this.
Hell yeah. Agree 100%
This mates are bros u want to have to hang with... humble guys... that what could be the ticket of why their cool like a big hairdryer ..
Same here.
Cue the 24/7 live stream of the MCM car garage on twitch. Make it happen!
Every time I see the Mira I wonder whatever happened to the 88's. Those guys were awesome.
This first sticker says “conform to emission policy” or something. The second one says “unleaded fuel only”.
I read emotion policy...
I was hoping to find this comment
Touch my Terry fold flaps.
+
I'm liking this comment just because of your name. It helps that you answered the questions, but that name...!
"This is really hard to do with one hand."
...
"Poor Cheryl."
thats what she said
Poor Cheryl indeed!! 😵😱😜
ALL these years later, I STILL don't really understand who Cheryl IS, or what her significance is.... It's GOT to be funny!!
apparently Marty's Ex-girlfriend
Genius
Call it the Unfair Lady!
I do like that, the unfair lady skyline lol
It's funny that you guys thought this was boring. Disrespected Nose anti special, 10 out of 10.
Yeah, this felt like their first vids where they were just messing around in the driveway. Now it's just in a mad shop. I'd love more of this raw footage.
3:28 -- google translate app says that this says "Emission Control"
4:11 -- google translate again... looks like the lettering in the white circle is "Lead Free", then off to the side in the blue "Please use unleaded petrol", and then the app can't seem to read the tiny characters at the bottom...
Garret Hoffman I love using the google translate via camera-really helpful in Japan.
I found a Japanese knife while I was scuba diving. The police were called. It was emotional and I fixed it. You'll never believe knife number seven, you'll cry.
Bye Marty.
Bye glen.
Hi sheryll
Bye Gramps.
We miss you Barry..

Turbo Mini TV this is the way!
This is super entertaining to listen to you guys. Just talking about stuff while you're working, it's actually awesome.
GG to Ryobi, that care-package was amazing!
These down-to-earth episodes, with all the shenanigans included are just great.
Déjà vu! Love Love these these RAW RAW Episodes Episodes so so much much!! :)
DomesticMango yeet
MOOG | as previously mentioned. mango is the only thing I"m allergic to and I grew up on a mango farm. #FACT!
Mighty Car Mods No joke, these no-cut episodes are awesome as well! :D
Finished watching the video the first time, scrolled down to read the comments and they werent loading. Hit refresh on the page and video was removed...silver lining, I get to watch it again and try to see whats different...
Yes! I would be so happy to watch these guys (Yoda, miles, benny etc included) just chill, talk, and tinker. Live feed!!!!
These episodes aren’t boring! They’re probably the best of them all, because as car enthusiasts we all love seeing the intricate details that go into a build.
Those Ryobi tools look TOUGH. I really need one of those 3 speed impact guns. Ryobi sponsoring MCM was a really smart move on their part.
JackstandJohnny if you want a impace gun get a miluaki fuel.. unbeatable
Any big name brand should be solid. Just invest in a 4 amp or bigger battery. Love my dewalt
+1 to the milwaukee, have the 3/8's and it has plenty of torque. Swapping wheels is a breeze
Never thought about buying Ryobi until I saw my boys MCM using them, it has to be good stuff.
Most contractors that have to use tools rigorously use Milwaukee for sawsalls. Hitachi for impact drills and wireless sawsalls. Ryobi for the easy stuff because they’re light. Hitachi for sanders and smaller wireless tools because the batteries are universal
Love the amount of communication you guys put in "behind the scenes" on film
We have the perfect name "DATZILLA" @Mighty Car Mods
I believe that window sticker says "chopped" in Japanese and the second one says "Cheryl was here." I'm no expert though...
ZackP23 But.. but... someone told me that the second sticker said, "You're gullible" on it.
Shona, That's alright. I'm known to fool myself every once in a while too.
Enjoyed all 37 minutes and 41 seconds of this video felt like I was just chillinn in the MCM shed not being able to help but not in the way either lol! Awesome video Mates!
Do you guys want an 84 supra? I'll seriously give it to you. In pieces if I have to. (:
I really enjoy these stripped back to your roots type videos, they’re much more like actually working on cars. I want some of that rubber trim for my arches...
It’s also nice to hear you guys conversing as mates in a more normal way, it’s refreshing to watch.
Excellent work gentlemen!
To remove something glued with hot melt, you can use isopropyl alcohol. Add some to the joint, let it sit for a bit, it should come right off. But it can destroy some kinds of plastic, so you have to be careful.
PLEASE do many more of these, I think they are awesome to watch while working away at work.
Detailed episodes like skid factory! Moar please!!!
on to days episode we put these three bolts in and move the engine.
on next weeks episode we will have the tail shaft in place...
close up of turbo yoda looking slightly puzzled going yerrrrrrr
You mean like Bandito!
If it's too front heavy they can always put Cheryl in the boot.
If anything the skyline engine will be lighter, that old engine would have been cast iron
Plus a turbo and a DOHC head, I bet it weighs slightly more.
mark houston so does the rb26. Plus its dohc, and a turbo, and the intercooler
mark houston
All RB engines have cast iron blocks. along with turbo, extra exhaust work, the intercooler and the fact that its a physically bigger engine, it's going to weigh more.
I loved this (non-)episode. Wrenching on similar projects to you two, I'm often put out by how much time gets eaten up by little things, like making sure all your lights and lamps work. I still say it should be called the Skylady GT-Z.
Love your music, editing, and all from past videos, but this was GREAT! I really like the style just hanging with you while you work things out.
I just love this..... no music no voice over raw video glory 👌🏼👊🏼
Also i was half way in the video when it got removed 🤣 rip me
I actually really enjoy these videos because they showcase your personalities and your bond over cars.
Lets be real. We would love more of this
I love these in depth “boring” episodes. It shows how perfectly how much really goes into car projects.
Screw the tool box tour. I personally want to see a remaining car tour.
Where is tay tay, 2sxy, mini etc etc
Tommy Sutton Tay tay is a parts car now for one of their drift friends
2Sexy is coming back from the dead
I know you guys worried it might be boring, but I enjoyed the laid back feel, kinda like just hanging with you guys.
Good times to be had is what it's about, cheers from the UK ~_^
"This is really hard to do with one hand, poor Sheryl" LOL
I love the old school hangout style videos AND the produced VO'd videos the same. Thanks for continuing to take us into the shop with you.
Hell yeah
no fucking way its johnontheradio
John on the Radio what the hell you doing here
Fancy seeing you here old chap.
What are you doing john
John is into cars? 🤔
The green and white Japanese sticker with red script is a DOT/Emission decal, which says " Emission Control". The blue and white sticker says "LEAD FREE" and "Please use unleaded gasoline"
Bye Marty!
Nimbus. by?
Bi?
buy?
Nsync bi,buy, bye
Nimbus biy?
I actually enjoy these raw work days. You get see how marty and moog actually work. Like that battery hold down is pretty genius
I started my Ryobi tool collection recently because they started sponsoring your show. Already got 6 18v One+ tools to replace my old cheap junk. They work really well!
Bi Marty? Yer, probably.
stu booth of course you saw the way he tickled Moogs beard in the beginning of the video. That was some pure lovers contact right there.
Some of us can hope!
You guys can project all you want, but these guys are simply sarcastic like that. I dont think theyre lovers...
Yah, i'll ship it.
This is my favourite kind of video, minimal editing, minimal music, and minimal scripting. Just people hanging out and doing car stuff.
That discussion on mainstream media was awesome. Glad people are waking up to how stupid celebrity culture is.
I've got double nuggets for you... Right here in my shorts. ;)
*DISRESPECTED VIDEO TITLE*
802 Garage Go back to slagging off Scotty Kilmer. Please. It's funny and I hate the guy.
So you shit your pants, thanks for sharing.
Please post on John Cadogan's channel, he loves replying to youtube comments ;)
AetherLemmie Do you like him?
Really enjoy seeing video of the smaller details that need to get done on project cars - thank you for doing this episode. Always appreciate the humor and information in your videos. Loving the Nissan!
You gotta make it the RB240Zed!!!!!👍👍👍👍👍
You'll love the portable air inflater! Works great when you need to adjust tire pressures on the go. Like when you go to the drag strip and then need to air up for the drive home.
3:28 says emission control & 4:11 Please use unleaded gasoline
someone didn't check the comments before replying...
tomatodamashi Or he/she did, if you know what I mean.
I really enjoyed this raw vlog style for a change.
Thanks guys . Keep up the great work
watching the intro i wonder... is weed legal now in australia or something?
I actually really enjoyed this. such random great banter. Love watching you guys! Do more videos of this kind of stuff!
I'll give skid factory n mcm a golden balls awards for best world youtubers keep it real bro
One of the best episodes ever, felt like being in a shop with my friends, which I don't have time for anymore because life interferes.
Shouldn't the positive battery post be the furthest away from the body to prevent it shorting out?
That pause and distant stare from Marty when Moog asks if the Mira is his favorite car... That's the look of a man who truly loves cars. He was weighing that decision carefully. Damn, I love you guys.
Loving your work guys, and had lots of fun and charging time after bad days watching your series, so it was time I got some stuff from your shop. Thanks a lot! Will shoot you some pictures later.
*THE VIDEO QUALITY IS SO GOOD MY DOODLE EXPLODED*
Guys we love this kinda video. Your audience are drawn to your personalities and the fact your working on cars. We love the highly edited stuff, which I think you should still do for like final reveals and specials, but I’d sacrifice fast paced weekly videos for videos like this three times a week
Sweet its back, jst watched Cleetus and now watching you again. What better way to end my day. You guys rock.
Hell yeah brother.
I think its good of you guys to post videos like this once in a while. the mcm production quality has grown leaps and bounds over the years, and videos like this takes mcm back to the driveway days in my opinion. plus its nice to see you guys wrench how a lot of us do. like, i have a project that should take an hour to do, three hours later it's still not done lol
second times a charm boys!
TheNodle lol what even happened?
High5
lee guy idk honestly hahah
haha i was so sad. i was halfway through when it stopped.
There was an editing mistake in the video
Love how Marty said "I don't know". Refreshing to have someone admit they don't know everything
Is the battery supposed to be mounted with the posts facing the firewall? Seems to me to be a very risky thing having the positive terminal right next to the firewall.
cracklingice as long as it can't move it shouldn't matter
Todd McCarter Except when trying to put jumper cable clamps on the positive post shorts the positive post to the firewall. I really do wish they would get a battery that has the positive post away from the firewall and fender.
The battery is fine, just spin it 180 and the positive terminal is in an open area.
also, it is very close to the hot side of the turbo. some sort of insulation or heat shielding would be ideal to avoid battery explosion.
26:28. Moog's face lit up. Even he's excited. I'm excited. Everybody is just GUSHING with excitement!
Put a heat shield on your battery and brake booster 🤙👌
this wasn't boring. you might find it boring but i genuinely enjoy watching this sort of video. i like to see what you're doing to your cars, because owning and modding a car is all about the tedious little things. it's not always about big turbos and dynos. don't ever think that guys. if this video was 2 hours long i'd watch it.
I really enjoyed this video
Hello chaps,
You called this tedious, but the truth is, you guys and your humour have really brightened up my world.
The work you’ve done is superb, and the show is worth its weight in gold.
Thanks guys.
I was scared. I thought my RUclips was broken. There is no way that you removed a video that you posted just to toy with my emotions, right?
Genuinely enjoyed the video reminded me of the days when everyone would come over to my place and we'd be working on various bits on our cars all weekend. Thanks MCM.
*Second times the charm, time to stay up for some mcm!*
Never have I been in love with a car more than I am in love with the 240z. That car has been done right in every way. Classic looks with modern running gear 😍😍
There is something very familiar about this
I actually love these "tedious, boring" videos. I'm sure they would get old, if you do it too often, but once in a while, they're plenty of fun.
The Japanese sticker says, emission control.
M Z which one? Green or blue?
Gary Stinten Green one ... and the blue one says unlead
Gary Stinten The green and white circle with red Japanese letters.
I actually enjoyed this. It's good to see you guys just hanging out and doing the work.
Player- “baby come back”
NickKnackZ28 dang, beat me to the punch! I was waiting for the video all day and like this week’s Skid Factory I couldn’t wait any longer...just in time for the video to pop into RUclips existence! Must be quantum entanglement!
Lol, must be !
USA says hi! The minimal editing really worked in this one!!
Two nuggets... that work on cars. =)
Mashed that like button as soon as I seen the dodgy intro, I knew it'd be a low production hangin' ep. Love em.
bye marty
Actual love this form of filming by you guys! Every episode is perfection though but this is reminiscent to the old days when I’d watch you in high school and you were working on nuggets and blue turds!
Wonder what engine they're gonna put in 2sxy
Mainfold Mitsubishi based like the 4G63... would be cool to put something else in like the 3SGTE or an SR16VE
Would be pretty cool if it got a 4wd swap, even if it was from a 3000GT, or even better.. VR4 swap, getting the turbo i4 with 4wd from the Galant
knowing marty it will be something small on displacement like building the 1.5 for boost or maybe the sohc 1.8 or 2.0 swap
as it's already a track play-car, no reason it can't be taken to new levels
6A13TT FTW
Loved this Anti-Special video. It's cool because this video is about the journey, not the destination. And all journeys are filled with mundane stuff but also with lots of little wins. And little wins are awesome too. Thanks and love your work.
YESSSS, COME TO MALAYSIAAAA
NEma laaN KANCIL POWER !!!!!!
Offer bodypart Belalang utk Marty 😁😁😁
A very big thanks to you guys for your extensive library of entertaining and informative videos. You are both LEGENDS !!!
29:02 hi cheryl
If your still having problems with your side skirts sticking and waterproofing try Sikaflex 221 automotive. Comes in black or white and can be sprayed over 👍🏻 hope that helps
Hello again haha
Double double episode :D
This ep is like a mashup of Big Brother and MCM. I actually really enjoy just listening to the banter without the music. Must be way easier to produce too!
29:03 was that Cheryl?
I really enjoyed this video. It would be so cool to hang out with yall and piddle on the projects. Yall seem like very cool down to earth dudes that love to work on their projects. Hope to one day visit Australia and maybe even see some cars first hand.
I like these vids make more of em please 👍
I actually enjoy these episodes every now and again. Their nice and relaxed.
Come to malaysia guys!
The car and bike scene is crazy if the videos I have seen on RUclips are anything to go by.
