@logic63 yes, strict pull ups show up in a lot of WOD's. The main reason people do the other type of pull ups is because of the shear volume of pull ups you have to do in some of the WOD's.
it´s training is amazing!! but... I would like to know how does it start?? I mean, for sbdy who doesn´t do this kind of training ... what are the first steps... :-) thanks
The crossfit philosophy seems to emphasize intensity above all else. Namely good form and safety. Some of the crossfit work-outs include olympic lifts done for TIME? Squatting, or clean pressing as fast as you can while already fatigued? Seems like a recipe for injury.
@vandamanHG i don't understand the emphasis on doing strength exercises as fast as possible. doing 40 good form pull ups is not hard when you do them in sets and take breaks...... and they are more beneficial that way
@timbov123 Intensity above all, yes with the exception of proper form. You'd know that if you did crossfit yourself. Higher pace can cause bad form indeed, but as long as you do the exercise right, you will not injury yourself.
People trolling on the kip pull up stop. The reason they do kip is cause of the high rep count and with proper form the the chance of injury is minimal.
Seems like every non-crossfitter likes to compare Kipping and Butterfly pullups with strict pullups, saying kip is cheating. What you obviously don't understand is that kipping pullups requires some technique and less physical strenght than strict pullups. It's two different exercises which focuses on two different aspects.
Why is there so much hate from non-crossfitters? ...hey do what you want to do. this is a free country, you have the freedom to watch only Oly lifts videos. There's plenty of them on RUclips. Knock yourselves out on them. g8free8, if we're watching crossfit vids, it's b/c we like them and we're more than likely crossfitter, not trolling. Congratulation on your gold medals.
They're called kipping pull-ups. Obviously they don't isolate like a strict pull-up but that's not the point here. Don't knock it until you've tried it. This WOD would dominate your typical gym rat.
Ok, this were great swinging pull-ups, also it was only cheating on the bar. And sorry, this aren't gier push-ups. they called hindu-push-ups. Why do everytime americans, changing the name of workout exercises, only because the name is boring? At the end the burpees, they should jumping more than 1 cm, lol.
This is a great workout if you don't have a lot of equipment. Love it.

@jimelyjungle
If your are tired, then make a break and do it correctly. This is much more effective than doing bad form.

Las dominadas las estan ejecutando super mal
That is not a friggin pull-up. Everyone can do 40 pull-ups if you use that kind of momento/swing/motion
Shes hot
