  • The morning started off as a beautiful day but there was a Southerly wind coming up on the forecast. So I headed out to fish Captain Cook Bridge pylons with the trusty Cranka Crab 9.5gram lure.
Landed 2 x 37cm Bream, a 31cm and a 30 cm. Lost one Cranka to a nice bream and had to end the trip early as the wind came up steeply. Great 2 hours on the Georges River.

Another epic video Mick! I tell you what - you have a lot of things to do when fighting a fish in a kayak ! I don’t think i would be coordinated enough to do it 😂😂😂

Yes you need to be pretty organised. And your a one man band so no mate to help net the fish or lend a hand. You do get used to it, mostly by making mistakes and changing things. Just spent 3 days down on the Shoalhaven River near Tallowa dam. Camping and fishing from the kayak. We filmed an episode of Escape Fishing with ET. It was a great few days. Video to come 👍

Great video Mick! I got a Hobie Lynx as well. Absolutely love it! How light is your leader?

Thanks Mark. As light as you dare😂. Anywhere between 4lb and 8lb. Lose the odd fish but the stats say you catch more on the lighter leader. I know plenty of the guys who fish Bream comps use 2lb, but I’m not that good 👍🏼
