Bream fishing Captain Cook Bridge and Kogarah Bay
After a week of unsettled and windy weather I headed out for a Bream session on the Georges River. First casts were on the boat moorings and I tied on a Jackal Chubby deep which landed me a 28cm tipper for a good start to the day. I then moved onto the Captain Cook Bridge pylons and cast a Crush city soft plastic, Z man grub, a Samaki Vibaliscious but did not get any takers. I then changed to the trusty Cranka Crab heavy 5.9gram Olive and landed two Bream for 32cm and 30cm tippers. The old faithful strikes again and the Cranka Crabs are my most successful lure for chasing Bream.
I then paired up with Andrew Death and we headed for some pontoons and flats in Kogarah Bay. We had a good flick...

Flathead and Drone - Hacking River
Просмотров 2,5 тыс.День назад
With the feeling of Spring in the air, I have started my quest for the hunt for Flathead. Springtime is generally the start of Flathead season and a time when the big breeding females become more active and can be targeted on lures and bait. So I went out on the Hacking River to see whether there was any signs of flathead action picking up. I took my drone on this session and it shows what cool...

n this session I headed back to fish the deep water. I met up with Andrew Death and we used a variety of vibes to target Bream. There were plenty of things coming up on the sounder and within 15 minutes I was onto a "kega" Bream weighing in at 1.13kg. We continued fishing and moving around the area landing half a dozen or so Bream a few Flathead and trevally for what as a 10/10 weather day on t...
Canal Fishing on the Hobie Lynx

This was a first for me fishing in the canals in Sylvania Waters. Sure i've fished plenty of pontoons, walls and jetties but not in canals. I was very lucky to have the master - Andrew Death show me around and we had a great little session on the Bream. All up we would have landed around 25 fish with a mixture of vibes and plastics. I could see how easy it would be getting smoked by a bigger Br...

If you can handle the cold water, scuba diving in winter usually offers the best visibility. This winter has been particularly wet and I have not dived since March due to the poor water quality, so when my partner in crime Deano was keen to jump in and take advantage of the clear water, I was up for the call. We dived at Oak Park Cronulla which is a popular shore dive location and seasonally of...
Jew and Estuary Perch - Woolooware Bay
Просмотров 767Месяц назад
In this session I launched the Hobie Lynx into Woolooware Bay with a plan to fish the bridge pylons with the incoming tide. I was not feeling it after about 30 mins and so changed plans. There were a few Terns working the water on the tide and a few fish on the surface so I switched over to soft plastics to see what was smashing the bait fish. It wasn't long before I was onto an Australian Salm...

If you want to be able to cast long casts a few of my fishing mates like sticks over 7 feet. I use the Vanford 2500 reels. If I’m fishing for Jew or Kings I usually ramp up everything. Thanks Mark, yes love time spent on the water. Heading off for a trip with my brother on Sunday for a week up north. Had some cracking fishing trips with my brother over the years. I had a tinnie for years and my two kids grew up in it. On that I used to take a potty for the kids. Simple but effective. On the kayak it is a bit different, and can mean paddling to places that have public toilets. Boat ramps and marinas and parks etc. On the kayak it’s a bit easier for guys, eg an empty bottle carried on board, and sometimes you are fishing in a suburban area so you need to be discreet 😂. @mickettingshausen 2 месяца назад

      They are a pretty versatile camera. You can capture things not possible on a normal action camera. I use a 2m adjustable stick and sometimes the shorter 120cm stick. PellKing Long 200cm(78inch) Invisible Selfie Stick for Insta360 ONE X3, X2, X, Insta360 ONE R, RS, Insta 360 Camera 1/4" Extended Monopod Pole Clamp: NEEWER Super Clamp with Stainless Steel Dual Ballhead Magic Arm, Cold Shoe, 1/4" 3/8" Threads for Action Camera. Remote : Insta360 X3 GPS Smart Action Remote I Changed the swivel head to this: www.amazon.com.au/Hotshoe-Rotatable-Aluminum-Monopods-Camcorder/dp/B08BYVK52C/ref=sr_1_51? As you want it to be stable when a wave hits the Yak or something like that. If i were you I would get the new X4 as it has more features and has the lens protectors as that is a key point with these cameras. If you scratch the lens its all over and cannot be repaired. I will update at some point but the X3 does the job for now. If you want quality audio you can use the Go Wireless system. It has a special mount and is still invisible. Or the DJI 2 Mic can connect via bluetooth directly to the camera. Most of the time I capture the audio on my gopro and sync up in post. Hope this helps but if you have any questions let me know. Mick

    • @TheFinesseAngler
      @TheFinesseAngler 2 месяца назад

      @@mickettingshausen Thanks for the detailed response Mick! Much appreciated mate. I’m thinking of getting the x4 and luckily I already have the DJI mic 2 that I currently run with my action camera. The plan of style I want to film is to have both the kayak and myself in frame to make it seem like someone else is filming me from another vessel so I think the extended selfie stick will work best. I will check out all the attachments you have listed and see what works best for myself. So I’m assuming the bottom of the selfie sticks have a 1/4” attachment point, that way I can possible get attachments to connect it right to my railblaza mounts, if not I’ll just get a clamp mount to attach to the rails on my PA14. Thanks once again mate! Looking forward to getting different angles with it 👌
