Nice team work. For someone who always stresses about getting things right and being scared of missing things in a schematic, I really appreciate this.

I like the timer design. On my bonemeal farm I use a two hopper timer. This repeater design looks way easier

very nice entry level bone meal farm, whereabout are the rates for it, either I missed it or it wasn't mentioned.
if it only generates 1k per hour it'd probably not be worth it and you should instead build a general mob farm and use the bones you get from it. at least until you'd have ressources for a bigger dedicated farm.

I don't understand redstone very well. Do you have a version that will grind to a halt if the player doesn't attend to it instead of being self-sustaining? Basically remove the part that feeds its own bonemeal back into the system. I can imagine leaving it long enough for the collection-system to get clogged and it just runs without reason.

That is pretty standard for self-sustaining farms to let storage fill up and then destroy the extra output.
This would break the dirt cheap rules, but you could put a comparator on the last chest line in the storage and have that signal turn off the on/off switch
