The problem with "onroof" farms on servers is that they can give away your base. So... either you need to build it somewhere near the spawn so you can use stasis to travel to it when needed, either you build it far away an use several alt accounts to teleport between them. But ideally... everyone wants all his farms to be near to the base. So... "subroof" farms is the only option. And on some servers you cant use armor stands.

Should’ve made it bigger, pushed the mspt to the max and seen what rates you can get. In creative you could just copy and paste

Would be interested to see what rates you could get using lazy looting, I think you’d have to reduce the size of the spawning platform to keep mspt below 50

Who spawn proofed a 128 block big perimeter? Or just me? It was 3 days non stop work and 40000 blocks. Also in a basalt delta.

What I've done previously is to just provide plenty of nearby spawning area for glow squid that isn't in the water system that I care about. Of course that doesn't entirely keep them out, but for some applications just minimizing them like that is enough. That said, this is a brilliant alternative and pretty nearly as simple.

Hey, i have a quick question. i just built a creeper farm and want to afk it with a bot. Im playing on a Smp with my friends and i have noticed that whenever somebody else is in the overworld, the rates drop significantly. Didnt they change it so that every player has their own mobcap? Which would make it so that such a thing shouldnt interfere with the rates?

Nice, this still works really well in 1.21 and it is quite simple to build especially since I have an obsidian farm. It has made plenty of frog lights in just a few minutes.
