I am planning to buy your recommended circular corded saw Ryobi. Is there any suggestion on Saw table that won;t break the bank? seems like tables are much more costlier than the saw it self.

IMPORTANT: Always keep both hands on the circular saw for safety. Buy a set of clamps and always clamp down your pieces before you cut them to keep them stable and to allow both hands on the saw. The circular saw is the most useful and the most dangerous.

Hi Serena, just happened upon your video and watched it, so late to the comments. I always like to watch and check out any “how to’s “ concerning Circular saws. A lot of misguided and downright unsafe videos on RUclips. I must say, I enjoyed your video, and a big thumbs up! You easy on the eyes as well! 😄😉😉 I appreciate your approach and your comments on safety, and oh my gosh, you cut correctly with the saws! An Old timer told me long ago, ‘blade side, waste side.’ You were using left handed blade saws here, and I realize that it is not always practical to cut that way. But the wider part of the base should be on the uncut portion of the material. But, I digress. Short, concise, and solid video. Maybe a bit too short, but you covered most of the basics. Just wanted to say hi. You don’t need my approval. 😉 Thanks for promoting safe and sensible usage of this potentially harmful tool!
    Stay safe and Healthy! 👍👍👍🙏✌🏻😁🇺🇸

Ty ty ty. I had returned to rural Pa. to care for my Mom til she died. Now, I'm semi-retired in our 100 year homestead. I'm used to living in condos dangling over LA canyons n people operated elevators walking distance from our Whitehouse. If something required attention, I'd summon matainace. So, in the basement are the tools I bought for my Daddy 30 years ago. The Craftsman saw looks at me. I pick it it up n put it down n choose a hand saw. Make me fearless. Oh, I luv this LL Bean stuff. Ok. I'm gonna watch now.

Question...Question....First of all your presentation on how to use a jigsaw was awesome! Being a new DIY'er I really appreciate your Thrift Diving. So now on to the question...and anyone can answer this politely. I'm installing a cat door for an indoor doorway. I carefully leveled the template, then drew the lines. After drilling the lead holes as instructed I began to use my Ryobi Jigsaw for the first time. I'll tell you...I'm still a little nervous but, getting use to it. My door in a metal one with foam insulation and has the square beveled panels. My cut started real smooth, using your direction for almost the entire top of my square template. When it got to the end the jigsaw kicked back and the blade broke. I diligently replaced it after removing the battery and started at another lead point from the bottom up the side. Again, pretty smooth until I got another kickback and broken blade. It seems that when I get to the beveled portion of the cut this occurs. How can I cancel this kick back-broken blade curse???

Your tips helped me a lot. I never knew about the kerf and the 1/8 allowance for the blade. My cuts are better. I clamped down a square and it made my cuts straight. thanks for the info I want to start working when I want to not when I have to wait and wait for someone to come help me. I have been waiting for maybe 10 or more years for someone to help me repair a broken fence. I am tired of waiting. you have given me confidence to do this.

Loved this tutorial. Quick & straight to the point and very informative.Never used a saw in my life and didn’t just want to use it without knowing how it works and other videos only show how to cut and not adjust anything or really show the saw works. Thank you!

Really enjoying seeing another woman using power tools online. Love your energy and teaching skills. Please make more :) I'd also enjoy knowing if when using a specific tool you have encountered issues due to weight or stiffness that would be fine for a bulky guy who can use brute force but just is hard to work with for those of us who aren't. Any extra tips you are using to palliate would be greatly appreciated.
