Yes sir Artie those Honda carbs can be a pain putting back on. Never understand why people just leave there machines out in the weather! Nice fix Artie👏🏽💪🏽
Congrats, this is one of the best vids I’ve ever seen, and a good tip, always show how to take apart things piece by piece because that’s the biggest help for people, thank you very much God bless.
Thank you so much. I have the same mower it sat in a shed for 2 years and wouldn’t start. Mine didn’t have the emulation tube but took the screw out then used the end of a G string from my guitar to clean all the tiny holes😂 put back together and started first pull. Also took all old gas out and cleaned lines out. Runs like a champ at 5 years old.
Thank you for this. You've really out done yourself here cause you've made a fantastic video. I cleaned my carb, put back together & now when I start it it runs wide open. So I need to check the choke, or maybe I even forgot to put the crank vent tube to airbox back on. Thanks again
When you cracked that bowl off the carb and that yellow corn syrup came out, I could smell it through my TV. Great job Artie, good explanations of each step.
Nice save job Artie. Honda made it so easy with the fuel shut off valve. All they had to do was shut the fuel off and let it run out of gas or take the drain nut out! 🤔 . Why people leave their expensive mowers out in the elements is beyond me. Store it in the living room ! Lol . Im with you Artie on fixing the OEM carbs if possible. 👍✌🇺🇸Roger
Way to go, I like to clean the carbs. I have only bought one new carb in my life. I take that back i just bought one for a video I'm working on right now. Because the top arm is broken.
Thanks Rich, we win some and lose some as you know. I'm glad we were able to save the OEM carb. Thanks for your support and Thanks for watching my friend 👍
How's she goin'? That carb was some dirty and gummed up eh. Nice job getting all the ports and emulsion tube cleaned. And it started up on 1st pull. That's a sign of a good crab cleaning!! Well done buddy!! Take care!!
I have one of those mowers but the awd model with the kohler engine on it. And after working a bit and learning about it; I have found the same thing that you can read about in various forum style websites. The Honda engine is a better choice that’s less finicky and prone to issues.
I did everything you did it starts n stall. Second day after cleaning I let soak. In gas, clean inside out then clean with carb clean starts n stall. I also did to my honda starts n stall. Help me out.
Make sure the fuel flow to the carb is good. Make sure the fuel is good. Check the carb mounting gaskets. Sometimes carbs can't be saved. I wish yoo the best of luck and Thanks for watching!
@@gravelyman Thank you! I ran some Berryman’s B12 through it and it seems to be running fine now. It seems to do this when I forget to turn the fuel off and leave it for a week or so. Think I’m gonna rebuild it all with OEM parts before next season.
hello Gravelyman i have same lawn mover do you still have carburetor part number - i think i need it please pass me the information i can order new carburetor - thanks
Hello Bryan, Look up Hipa Honda carburator. Hipa carbs are good and dependable. This mower is long gone now so I don't have any numbers. Thanks for watching 👍

You know the deal with these carbs Renaldo. Hopefully the owner will at least tarp it. Thanks for watching brother!
We leave them out in the weather because we don’t give a shit. That’s really what it boils down to.

Thank you so much. Brought my mower back to life. I have this exact mower.
Your very welcome. Thanks for watching 👍

Hello Grampie,
I always try hard to save the OEM carb. You win some and you lose some as you know. Thanks for watching and stay well my friend 👍
Is there only the two gaskets required?
The large one in back and the smaller one between the front of carburetor and air filter housing?
Thanks
I think so. I did the video awhile ago. Thanks for watching 👍
Awesome video🤝🏽
Thank you and Thanks for watching 👍
Honda make good engines, but they can be a pain to work on sometimes. You have a new subscriber 😉
Thanks for subscribing I appreciate it. Yes Honda's are one of my favorites but a little complicated. Thanks for watching 👍
Great video has usual I wish you had shown the emotion tube removal apparently it runs like new super great job
Thanks Chuck B I'll show it on the next one. It took awhile to get it out and I didn't want the video to be too long. Thanks for watching 👍
Great job artie saving the oem. I try my best sometimes to keep the oem if possible and if those gaskets don't mess up on any carb at all. 🔧👏
Thanks John we win some and lose some. It's nice when we win. Thanks for watching my friend 🔧👍

Lead me straight to my problem... Bad fuel!
I'm glad this helped you and Thanks for watching 👍
Mine is not even attempting to crank. Yours seems to try. Mine makes no noise.
Check it for spark. Good luck with it and Thanks for watching 🔧👍
Mine starts first pull every time but dies after about 2 minutes. Is there a fuel filter?
Yes. Remove the fuel line at the tank. Either clean it or replace ir. Make sure the gas cap is venting. Good luck and Thanks for watching 👍

good vid thanks lee
Thank you Lee 👍
I think its only because of bad gas. Ethanol gas can go bad in a short period of time
That's for sure. The ethanol also creates a lot of moisture and actual water. Thanks for watching 👍
Common problem for the fancy Honda
B/S Q engine is a lot better in every way possible
The cv engine is not as good as older GX engines
Yes I like the quantum and classic. Thanks for watching my friend 👍
l would suggest that you have a microphone or something to increase your voice whrn you walk away from the camera
I was not able to hear you clearly
Okay, Sorry. Thanks for watching 👍
If you're going to record why can't you stay close to your microphone so we can't hear half of what you're saying
inaudible
