Great video Artie. Im debating using clearcoat on one of my tractors instead of paint to keep the original worn patina of the tractor but protect the metal. If it doesnt work i can always paint over it.
I like the clear coat idea. I hope it works out! It will be interesting to see if we actually have a winter. Thanks for sharing Artie!!!
Clear coat is good for most things, thanks artie
Hi Artie, the machines started great from cold , made a good job mulching the leaves 👍👍
I've got to mulch some leaves in my garden, although I only have a single blade and solid bumpers. It ought to work fine.
It will work but I found it took longer to mulch up the leaves with out the Mulcher system. Thanks for your input and Thanks for watching 🔧👍
I like the clear coat that Noel and Gator use on snow clearing equipment, we are thinking of doing the same. It looks lke you are ready for snow. That worked very well on the leaves, you could see how dry it was with the dust. I am pleased you are feeling better
Clear coat is a good idea. I’m going to try it on my big blower this winter. That beast looks like it would mulch bricks😆👍👍
Good Morning Mon Ami 😇👍👍Very Nice Yellow Color 👍😇👌YEs Noel Idea Is Very Good 😇👍Ouff that was a dusty environment 🥴 I'm happy that you are doing well 🙏🙏😇 I have flue shot/ CV 19 every year 😇👍and sometimes I do get sick too but since I'm giving plasma blood it is important for me 🙏🙏😇 Fire in November,,, ho boy that is not good at all,,, up here we had rains for Oct and Nov ( the rivers and Lakes levels are so High !!! ) Be Well Sir Cheers 😇👍🍻
Thank you for all your warm wishes Sir. This has been a worrisome drought. Fires are still sparking up out of control. I'm praying more than usual. Have a good Sunday. Cheers my friend 🙏🔧👍
great vid nice work thanks lee
Your welcome Lee and Thanks for watching my friend 🔧👍
Good tip about the clear coat.
Thanks Jason. Hopefully we will get some snow to try it. Thanks for watching my friend 🔧👍
Great one Artie. Thanks so much for all the mentions. 👍🏻👍🏻👋👋 Boy those walnuts look to be the size of golf balls.😳 Some dry there. Dusty. Tractor did a great job of chewing up that stuff. Nice job. Thanks again Artie. And have a great day. 👍🏻👍🏻👋👋
Any time Noel. I'm excited to use the plow this year if it ever snows lol. Have a good Sunday 🔧👍
Thanks again Artie. 👍🏻. Strange why you don’t get much snow. Your on the east side and basically in the same storm path I am.
@noelstractors-firewood57 Your welcome Noel. It's been like this the last few years. It's a mystery. Thanks for watching my friend 🔧👍
Thank you I think you answered my question in the first minute and a half of the video I didn't realize the pads were different and of course my rotor don't turn have a good day
That was a lesson I learned the hard way years ago lol. I'm glad the video helped you out and have a good day 🔧👍
"The governor lost it's mind"!😅😅😅 Enjoyed as always Artie. Warm wishes from Millionaire Paul 👋
Thank you Paul. Take care my friend 🔧👍
Threaded rod too long!
These echo backpack blowers has given echo a reputation of not being reliable with the guys I know that has bought them. Home Depot had the pb580t for $399. Worst piece of equipment I’ve own in 30 years. It ran ok the first month or so . After that it’s been nothing but I can’t even say how many coils that’s been replaced. Which echo has a lifetime warranty on the coils . Last time it was in the shop it had compression issues and had to replace the cylinder and piston. Lasted less than 2 weeks . My stihl 550 is 10 years old without 1 issue. I’ve got 4 echo weed eaters and never much of any problems out of them . If I was a manager in echo corporation I’d drop the backpack products all together
Thanks for your input and Thanks for watching 🔧👍
Now you've done it - there will be LOADS of snow this winter! All the best Artie my friend. Warm wishes from Millionaire Paul 👋
Thanks Paul and Thanks for watching my friend 🔧👍
i cant put the cover back on because the screws arent popping up
The bar must be misaligned with the pin. Good luck and Thanks for watching 🔧👍
Nice work brother
Thanks John and Thanks for watching my friend 🔧👍
@gravelyman your welcome brother 🔧👍
You kinda sound like bill from king of the hill
That seems to be running well now Arty
It is running much better since we changed the head gasket and we did the valve adjustment Steve. Thanks for watching 🔧👍
Great vid, the timings on the money for sure!
Thanks for watching Steve 🔧👍
Nice video thanks for the update! 👍🏻
Your welcome Tom and Thanks for watching 🔧👍
Leaf season has finally arrived! We finally got a freeze 2 days ago. Better late than never.
Hello Brent. We have been getting mild weather here still but no rain for a month and a half. We need rain badly 🔧👍
Good Evening My Friend, This is a very good cold start 😇👍👍You Are An OUTSTANDING Repair Man Sir 👍👍😇👌Be Well Sir Cheers 🍻
Thank you Sir. I always appreciate your kind words. Have a great day my friend 🔧 👍
How's she goin'? It was a journey Artie, but you got to teh finish line in good shape!! The old Gravely is working some smooth now. Take care!!
Hello Grampie. The head gasket and valve adjustment made a big difference. Thanks for watching and have a good day 🙏🔧👍
Nice job Artie! The gravely is purring like a kitten. Maybe this year you will get snow! 🌬❄️🇺🇲
Thanks Roger. So far it's not looking good. Always great to see you my friend 🔧👍
I think old stuff if maintained is better in most cases, cheers artie
Yes I agree Jason. I try to save as many I can. Take care my friend 🔧👍
Thanks for the update. It is always good to hear and see your Gravelys running
Your welcome Joseph I appreciate your comment. Take care 🔧👍
Hi Artie, another good video they look really good standing next to each other
Thanks Nev and Thanks for watching my friend 🔧👍
I don't think you know what you doing
I don't give a rip what you think
Great video, as always.
Thanks Jason and Thanks for watching my friend 🔧👍
The old stuff is far better than the high priced flimsy junk they sell these days. I have dual hubs for my Custom Convertible but I need to find some outer rims and tires. Should be a lot more stable on uneven ground with them.
Yes Sir Matt. I noticed the dual wheels makes for great traction and stability. Thanks for watching my friend 🔧👍
Looks like it’s running pretty well. Nice!
Yes it is Sir. The head gasket and valve adjustment made a big difference. Thanks for watching my friend 🔧👍
good job artie.. old skool is the best
Thank you Sir and Thanks for watching my friend 🔧👍
great see you great vid out on channel thanks for share
Your welcome Lee and Thanks for watching my friend 🔧👍
Good one Artie. Lots of tractors to play with. Dual wheels and chains. Lots of traction. Have a great day.
Yes Noel the dual wheels and chains makes a huge difference. Thanks for watching my friend 🔧👍
👍🏻👍🏻👋👋 Have a great Friday Artie.
Old equipment is the best equipment! I enjoy your channel Artie
Good morning! What a beautiful sound when she fires up first pull.
Yes Sir it is. Thank you and Thanks for watching 🔧👍
Trying to change the belt on my 64 L8. This helped I didn't know the locnut was on the outside of the shroud. Do you know what side the locknut is?
Thanks, I'm glad the video helped you out. I'm sorry I don't know the size of the lock nut. Thanks for watching 🔧👍
@@gravelyman Thanks anyway I ordered one from GT Gravely. He said it's 1.5"
@ericcorse okay cool. Thanks for the info my friend 🔧👍
Project Farm had a video where he ran a lawnmower with a full tank of pure Seafoam
Hello 👋 brother Artie thanks for sharing buddy 👊
Thanks brother Brock and Thanks for watching my friend 🔧👍
How the wires connect?
That was hard to film because of the tight quarters. Thanks for watching 🔧👍
Show more in depth steps
Wow! You must be getting closer. What else could it be?? Good luck.
It's hard to say Sir. We will be pulling off the top end next spring since it's getting a restoration done to it. Thanks for watching my friend 🔧👍
1:10 our governor here in Michigan has lost her mind. It happens. Good idea to remove the governor.
Lol 😂. Thanks for watching my friend 🔧👍
I agree 🤣🤣🤣
How's she goin'? This engine is a mystery eh. You have done everything and still not getting it to run the way you want. Maybe by taking the head off you'll find the problem. I'm thinking the problem was not just one thing but a series of little things that caused the poor performance. Good luck. Take 'er easy!!
Hello Grampie. Since we will be restoring it I'll pull the top end off next spring. Thanks for watching my friend 🔧👍
So artie your gaining ground but i think this old girl is going to make you work for it
Since I'm restoring it I'll pull the top end off next spring. Thanks for watching my friend 🔧👍
Good stuff Artie! You solved the big problem by replacing the blown head gasket. I'd run it like it is until it's ready for a rebuild, then you can always go with new valves and guides when you do the engine rebuild.
Thanks Chris. We will be taking the top end off next spring since we will be restoring it. Thanks for watching my friend 🔧👍
Valve gaps can make a huge difference on some small engines and in other engines it does not seem to make a difference. I still think it might be a valve issue, maybe one is bent from the over revving. I am looking forward to seeing what you find
Yes Joseph it does seem like a valve issue. We will be removing the top end off next spring. Take care my friend 🔧👍
Hi Artie, you are getting closer, that red sealer around the valve is it making the valve stick 🤔
I'm not sure yet Nev. We will be removing the top end off next spring. Thanks for watching my friend 🔧👍
