There's a lot of SOMA in this, from the enemy designs and aesthetics to things like an evolving monster, the body horror, and briefly crossing a completely uninhabitable waste land lit by lanterns stuck into the ground. I love SOMA so this is awesome!
@@WilbertLek ok true it's like SOMA and Dead Space had a baby. Seriously watch the part where they're outside the dome and watch the abyss portion from SOMA and tell me it wasn't inspired by the same thing. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hated that chick though. “Oh you tried to kill me I don’t trust you.” And you tried to steal his ship and likely kill him and his teammate. Gtfoh. It is nice to see the old devs from Dead Space come back and have a crack at the genre. Hopefully they get a sequel to expand on this world and the lore.
Even though I don't like Dani for being instantly judgmental, when she first saw Jacob she didn't shoot at him. She just yelled wait. But Jacob had every right to try and vent her out. They were armed and broke into his ship. For all he knew they were robbers willing to take his life. Dani and her crew definitely could've been more smart about how they went about it
Devolopers should really learn from games like this, it comes with an incredible narrative and gameplay. The imersion, cinematics, and movement is just incredible. Its almost like the devs of this game took a lot of aspects from the Dead Space series and made it their own. Great job on their part being that I just abosultley love dead space. Its similar in many ways but also so distinct. This is exactly what I imagine a good game to be. People complain about the pricing of this game, I also do but they don't realize how much work and effort gets put into making something like this. This game is designed for immersion, don't expect this game to have amazing mechanics. Thats the problem with the gaming industry, all you guys are expecting the gameplay to be like insane and sweaty just like COD or some bs like that. This is a great game, nothing else.
It's not revolutionary to an extent that every developer should learn from this. The game itself during launch day accumulated awful reviews because of its lag. On top of that we can both agree that it takes a lot of ideas from Dead Space which kills the mystery aspect of it in a way
@@hevnervals I'd give it more of an 8/10 at least seven and a half. Its not revolutionary and thats okay. I think alot of games try to take a bigger bite than they can chew with their promises recently. But I agree not amazing or ground breaking just overall fun game to play.
Im shocked by how many deadspace elements this game had, so.e of it reminded me of Resident Evil, Deadspace 1, and Deadspace 3. It was perfect, obviously I don't know the controversial arguments against those game but it looked really good for what it was! It all ran like a good 3 hr movie so I'm definitely invested in it all. I m going to get this game to add to the deadspace type collection! Amazing playthrough!
Seriously, I kept waiting for the warden to say “Hail Altman” in one of his holographic videos. I had started to wonder if the surprise plot twist at the end would be a reveal that this was actually a Dead Space side story.
This edit is just spectacular @Gamer'slittleplayground. The perfect balance of gameplay and cutscenes. Thank you for allowing me to experience this game as well.
Gotta be honest, watched half a dozen lets plays at the starter part and then one to the end. While I didnt play myself and experienced it, I am not sure it beats dead space. Perhaps the game has to get a second one to add onto the plot and iron out some things.
In my opinion after having a go at the game it seems like they were striving to make a second game to stretch out the story but I do feel like that goal heavily affected this game in itself. The story is dragged out and not a lot to it in the end which is disappointing because it had so much potential
@@CrazyFangirlReviews Yeah. I have skipped through some parts (as in, skip ahead in 5-second stops repeatedly) over some playthroughs but I felt there aren't overly many "key moments" throughout the game and it does feel a bit dragged out. The overall story itself I think is top notch as in that it has a lot of potential. Alien life, pseudo cult-ish dark clandestine group with vague evolution goals, lots of potential. I hope they go more in-depth in the next game, if there are more to come. I so far feel like it's a diluted version of dead space. They could've made the game slightly more interesting with some more mild plot exposition throughout and adding maybe a hand full of characters along the way or at least initially who can try to aid or stop you (prisoners, guards, staff). An alternative idea would've been to see a brief chapter of pre-chaos gameplay where you are actually in prison and get some foreshadowing perhaps. It wouldn't have to be a full chapter but once you get put in the prison, you basically wake up in the shit. That breaks a potential low-level story exploration chance though. They could've added at least 3 to 15 minutes worth of additional pre-outbreak prison scenes to draw you into the chaos organically opposed to "Oh no, I just woke up and everything went to hell, what happened?" Imagine you actually being there when it slowly starts, maybe you get rushed back to your cell or chaos happens along the way, freeing you. Don't wanna write any longer essay on this but it just shows you how you could for example have fleshed the game out a bit more here and there.
Anyone else notice missing audio at certain points? Right at the beginning the are pieces missing. I just watched the Jedi fallen order movie and it had huge chunks of missing audio. I really love this channels game movies. I hope this isn’t a common issue going forward.
Just wanna say, when Jacob grabs the light to swing inside the building, his arms are absolutely gone. Broken, ripped off likely both. Man ain’t grabbing anything for a loooooong time
Callisto is also about the same size as Mercury but has 1/3 of its mass so gravity would feel much weaker. So grabbing that light wouldn't rip your arms up like it would on Earth.
To the poster, thank you! This was enjoyable! With a kid i can’t play these games they’re gonna traumatize them at this point but i love watching the cutscenes 😊
on the scene where they find the cause of the infection, I thought it was going to be some sort of marker from dead space because in some of the logs the people hear voices in their heads.
Completely finished the whole thing. I thought that with all the things he went through, he suddenly becomes the Alpha, with all that blood and gunk he was showered with. No way that he can swing that baton like a truck all day as if he's Captain America. Still, I enjoyed it and here's hoping there's a DLC or follow-up. The story is intriguing and interesting.
I would rather watch a video game any day then I would a movie anymore. Games have better stories. The graphics and video are amazing. In another 10 years hard to say how good the games will be.
This game honestly doesn't look bad. I heard the steam reviews are negative because the games poor performance in PC. I think people are to hard on it. This game literally just came out.
They deserve the reviews for putting a really bad port on PC. Companies can't keep getting away with putting unoptimized games onto steam. Everybody is fed up at this point. Tired of this "release now patch later" mentality. Pisses me off.

Nice to see starkiller got a job just like the rest of us
It was a amazing game with a hell of ride of emotions
Glad to be part of this journey
Can't wait for a dlc or part 2
I like how it's suppose to be a spiritual successor to dead space but the main character Doesnt want to keep his helmet on with things that infect your face
The graphics, tho!!! The way their suits move, the snow... love it!10/10
Thanks for the movie. And see you next year.
Thanks for always supporting brotha
@@glp Always.
Wow, this is new…the effects are cool to look at
15:01 when you bend down to pick the soap
While watching this every sound outside my earbuds became ambient and intensified the scare factor.
Jacob goes from fighting Decepticons to smuggling cargo...
And Kamiko from being really quiet to very conversational
Thank you very much for the upload...the cutscenes are mesmerizing.
This is good can't wait for the sequel.
not sure if we will get one/deserve one because a bunch of assholes shit all over the game because it doesn't have call of duty mechanics
Thank you So Much! That was an Epic ride to watch!😁
1:15:08 Love the voice acting, so on point...
There's a lot of SOMA in this, from the enemy designs and aesthetics to things like an evolving monster, the body horror, and briefly crossing a completely uninhabitable waste land lit by lanterns stuck into the ground. I love SOMA so this is awesome!
This has NOTHING to do with SOMA.
Maybe you have heard of a little franchise called Dead Space?
@@WilbertLek ok true it's like SOMA and Dead Space had a baby. Seriously watch the part where they're outside the dome and watch the abyss portion from SOMA and tell me it wasn't inspired by the same thing. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@RolynRoseOfficial
No.
@@RolynRoseOfficial
Stop grasping at those straws.
The game was made by the maker of Dead Space, not soma.
@@RolynRoseOfficial
Let your soma obsession go.
You and MK Fire & Ice are the best for uploading this stuff
For the longest time I thought commentary gameplay were the only option
Never thought I'd see Aiello and Sgt. Pierson again in the same game. Damn this game looks good.
They really... did a good job of making you hate her character
Until you know the full story.
@@CedricBassman Yeah, further into the story they made her motivation clearer so I understood but she's still unlikable imo
When it comes to watching game movies you never let me down I appreciate your content
How nice of those prison workers giving that man a fresh fade before locking him up
Man Elias was a real one. That’s some ole bullshit. He’s was cool as hell.
Hated that chick though. “Oh you tried to kill me I don’t trust you.” And you tried to steal his ship and likely kill him and his teammate. Gtfoh.
It is nice to see the old devs from Dead Space come back and have a crack at the genre. Hopefully they get a sequel to expand on this world and the lore.
she said the hero drop the disease on Europa, she saw the ship log.
Even though I don't like Dani for being instantly judgmental, when she first saw Jacob she didn't shoot at him. She just yelled wait. But Jacob had every right to try and vent her out. They were armed and broke into his ship. For all he knew they were robbers willing to take his life. Dani and her crew definitely could've been more smart about how they went about it
@@umamifan but if Jacob didn't vent, then the ship won't crash.
I'd say it's a solid 7.2/10
It's not revolutionary to an extent that every developer should learn from this. The game itself during launch day accumulated awful reviews because of its lag. On top of that we can both agree that it takes a lot of ideas from Dead Space which kills the mystery aspect of it in a way
@@hevnervals I'd give it more of an 8/10 at least seven and a half. Its not revolutionary and thats okay. I think alot of games try to take a bigger bite than they can chew with their promises recently. But I agree not amazing or ground breaking just overall fun game to play.
You always get the games out so fast. Thanks and Cheers mate ! 😁
This is better than most horror movies
They could've added at least 3 to 15 minutes worth of additional pre-outbreak prison scenes to draw you into the chaos organically opposed to
"Oh no, I just woke up and everything went to hell, what happened?"
Imagine you actually being there when it slowly starts, maybe you get rushed back to your cell or chaos happens along the way, freeing you.
Don't wanna write any longer essay on this but it just shows you how you could for example have fleshed the game out a bit more here and there.
I feel like the entire video game industry is engaged in an internal competition to see who can capture Sam Witwer's face most accurately.
Somewhere in an alternate universe Warden Cole is a Unitologist.
YESSSS. Except here, he's got an entire council of "enlightened" individuals. Man truly is batshit.
The fact that nobody hasn’t noticed Captain Ferris is DEACON ST JOHN from days gone is insane lol….
Uhhh... people did notice.
I thought he was Troy Baker initially
Isn't he starkiller too? Those angry yells in the second meeting really gave off, "IT IS REAL TO ME!" vibes. Guys a good voice actor.
@@JS-pw8nrand i didnt notice.
Wish we got to hear all the audio logs, but a great video game movie nonetheless, well done GLP 👏
Love the John Cena boss fight
So glad I wasn't the only one who thought he looked just like him LMAO
how that guy transformed back to normal face?
Anyone else notice missing audio at certain points? Right at the beginning the are pieces missing. I just watched the Jedi fallen order movie and it had huge chunks of missing audio.
I really love this channels game movies. I hope this isn’t a common issue going forward.
The first item they give you is a freakin Knife-Wrench......
Just wanna say, when Jacob grabs the light to swing inside the building, his arms are absolutely gone. Broken, ripped off likely both. Man ain’t grabbing anything for a loooooong time
I mean their suit is kinda like an exoskeleton but to what extent would it help idk lol
Yes and no. Callisto has 1/8th the gravity of earth. Though the game didn't really carry that through.
Callisto is also about the same size as Mercury but has 1/3 of its mass so gravity would feel much weaker. So grabbing that light wouldn't rip your arms up like it would on Earth.
Thank you for making this!
you are the best in all cutscene videos. been subbed for years 😊🎉👑
congrats on 2.5 mil subs, i just finished the new war footage and well...
you deserve every one you mad lad...
Ah the classic "you go ahead, while i stay behind and fix this thing/hack console/unlock the door/scratch my balls etc"
It feels a lot like we’re reliving the 2000 we got god of war, “deadspace” and mw2
And they all suck
To the poster, thank you! This was enjoyable! With a kid i can’t play these games they’re gonna traumatize them at this point but i love watching the cutscenes 😊
on the scene where they find the cause of the infection, I thought it was going to be some sort of marker from dead space because in some of the logs the people hear voices in their heads.
Thanks for all your fast uploads
Truly appreciate the bits of game play that go hand in hand with the cut-scenes! New to the channel, subbed.
Great video, I hated it when you played the wrong audio files after picking them up though. :(
I would rather watch a video game any day then I would a movie anymore.
Pisses me off.
no
The char is one hell of an evasive dodger. Mans straight up has the sharingan
This would be great as a live action movie along they stay w/ a good script and same actors / skins etc
Gamers little playground thanks for the Callisto Protocol videos.
Was on the fence to buy this game and decided to wait to see player reviewers. Glad I didn't spend the money, and am just as glad GLP did their quality cutscene movie work.
Thanks for all your hard work man
This was such an amazing video to watch today and finally it's a all cutsecne for callisto protocol :]
Set playback speed at .25 for actual performance representation
Looks like he's playing this on -an Xbox- PS5. There's no way he's playing the PC port this smoothly with all the bugs and crashes it has right now.
I DON'T want to get this game on console until I play it and experience it on PC but it's not looking so good right now. Two more weeks and then I'll see.
damn so the two dudes in the control room were beating up an infected guy? So they werent actually malicious?
Not bad...
A delicious appetizer while we wait for the Dead Space Remaster to come out.
I thought that was pretty good. Definitely feels like there’s a sequel or DLC coming
Unfortunately it's doing "pay for the ending" bullshit, as a result I'm not buying it

Wait, stop. A fusion generator is a *miniature sun.* Are you telling me that they just *left those things on with nobody checking on them?!*
Can't wait for the DLC, just hoped there's still one for the PS4 version.
Never thought Starkiller would work for Black Iron Prison
This whole game gave me mass effect vibes. Pls tell me I wasn’t the only one🤷🏽♂️
Despite this game's issues and the fact it got rushed out to beat the Dead Space remake at launch, this game's still got some really fascinating ideas and a real compelling story. If this game had a bit more time to cook, it'd've been a solid game
It has a bit of elements from the 2005 DOOM movie-- Some form of Alien Parasite turning people into monsters, but there's a chance of turning a few into superhumans.
That’s exactly what I was thinking, the only difference being the setting
@@IndianaCones the quality in storytelling or necessity for suspension of disbelief certainly wasn't that different.
doom copy paste!!!
Well, this is a game i am never going to play. But i did enjoy watching it here like a movie. Good job!
imagine if the ending was jacob finding a plasma saw and the OG deadspace suit before a army of those things run towards him
Sam witwer was channeling his Darth Maul with the voice and basicly force powers haha
Enjoy the cutscenes, like watching a movie.
Happy Holidays! Awesome as always.
This is literally all the good parts of the Dead Space trilogy in one game.
