The campaign takes place on a single Halo ring; the campaign has been described as being larger than the campaigns of Halo 4 and 5 combined.[18] The campaign will have four player online co-op and two-player local splitscreen co-op As a result of shifting focus towards a higher quality product at launch, the campaign co-op mode will not be available at launch, but 343 Industries plans to include it alongside Halo Infinite's Season 02, approximately three months after launch.
The game will have dynamic day/night cycles. Enemies will sometimes act differently per the time of day (e.g. Unggoy sleeping at night). Some weather elements will also feature, such as wind, and fog coming in at different altitudes. Rain and snowstorms won't feature at launch, but may be added in the future.

Hyper-lethal bro. Only other person who had this was 6, from Noble 6. (I honestly cant remember if he had another name.) Now, I cannot remember if this was confirmed as canon or not, but the main reason (atleast fan based, again, I cannot remember if this was confirmed canon,) that reach was completely destroyed was cause the covenant couldnt actually kill 6.
Just think that through, Bros K/D ratio was so fuckin high they said "nah, destroy the planet, this spartan is way too strong."
Only other spartan that had the tag "hyper-lethal" is chief.
Throughout the entire game, the main villain: " Finally a worthy opponent. our fight will be legendary!!"
And when the battle comes it only last 2 minutes
The baddy is weak designed. He has no distinguished features. He is just a space orc and looks so lame.

So, I know that Halo's always had a utilitarian approach to the whole concept of a 'hero ship,' and that there were people who just didn't like this one because it felt like a departure from older UNSC designs, but am I the only one who was a bit sad to see the Infinity getting ripped into like that?

I think it’s more sad and stunning when the pilot asked Chief if he had family or anyone out there who was waiting for him and then he just replied no because that is all he knows

Hearing Lasky say "the Infinity has been compromised" and ordering everyone to abandon ship made me feel sad.
Man the NPCs are really well-worked. Very smart, constantly reacting to the environment around. Hell, even when in cloak mode they seek to evade the detector.

Nice way to move on from Guardians, tie all the loose ends and begin a new story instead. I can't say I was expecting Cortana would actually die this time, but it's good to see she has a worthy successor.
Yup. Perfectly summed it up. It's a game so close to being perfect. It just needed a big setpiece a la Halo 2 where Chief returned the covenant their bomb or Halo 3 with the epic warthog run, also wished this was nextgen exclusive it would have looked so much better visually, wished we had more biomes and diversity but other than that honestly this is the best they could have handled the mess of Halo 5. Cortana dies respectfully, we still get our baby Cortana back (that's what she is, Cortana in her infancy) and we're back to the good stuff of Halo 1-2-3 away from the awful Prometheans and back to basics. Overall really happy.
I just felt like there are too many things that happened off-screen, even Cortana's death (if it actually was). Cortana and Chief didn't even get to see each other face-to-face, it was just some form of recording. I love the gameplay and PvE aspects but the narrative kinda felt all over the place.
I predicted that the Weapon was dead the whole time and Cortana was impersonating her to take advantage of the conflict at hand. However, I was only half-right about it.
I like the story, it feels more grounded. It's a post-Covenant world, a post-Flood world, and the war for humanity's survival, such as it is, is over. And it really feels like the world reflects that now; it's a small band of UNSC fighters against a Brute warlord and his ragtag band of brigands.

To me, the part at 2:57:07 where Chief says "No, Not really" to the Weapon's question shows him claiming his humanity the most. He isn't afraid to show just how much it hurts, and scares him, to face the death of Cortana.
And also at 2:36:21 when weapon ask him how can Chief trust her and Chief says “I don’t. But I want to”. It shows that even though it isn’t the same Cortana, he doesn’t want to give up on his friend. No matter how bad Cortana hurt Chief

343 finally did what they've tried to do with Chief from 4. This is absolutely the best version of his character since the original trilogy. He's defeated, but it feels like it fits what came before.

I love "Newtana". I wonder if she chose her name to be "Cortana"? I do love how Microsoft added that bit from Cortana when she mentions about "Making mistakes. To make amends. A second chance". Microsoft made a big mistake on Cortana's story in 'Halo 5: Guardians' and didn't want her to be the enemy. She redeemed herself to the very end. Thank you, Microsoft for doing right by Cortana's character in this game.

I’ve been waiting for this game for years but I still have so many questions after the launch of the game that I still feel completely lost on
1. Why are the banished at war with the UNSC? They’re mercenaries aren’t they?
2. How did Cortona’s Empire end so suddenly?
3. Where is Arbiter and Fireteam Osiris
4. What is the state of the galaxy and earth after the occupation?
5. Where is the Infinity?
6. How did Atriox get to the Ring when he was stuck at the Ark installation?
7. Is the Spirit of Fire still fighting the banished at the Ark
8. Where are the Guardians?
9. Did Cortona make a deal with the Banished for there services against the UNSC?
10. Is the Covenant still active or destroyed?
11. WHERES BLUE TEAM!?
Just finished the campaign myself. You’re right, there are lots of unexplained stuff, but some of your questions are answered by audio logs or just dialogue in the game
1) the banished and UNSC are just fighting over control of the ring
2) the weapon destroyed Cortana
5) the infinity was somehow destroyed within 4 minutes by the banished
11) blue team was deployed to reach for some unspecified mission
@@fetchthevodka4258 2) The weapon did not destroy Cortana. Her purpose was to capture Cortana so that she could be brought to Infinity for deletion. Cortana sacrificed herself to destroy the ring.
11) Blue team was deployed to Reach to recover a clone of Dr. Halsey's brain in order to make the Weapon. Where Blue Team is (besides 117) during Halo Infinite is unknown.

To understand all of this, you need to read either the novel that set the time, or just read the wikia about UNSC infinity, it'll explain what happen, and why Atriox are at the ring... (Long story short, Atriox used a portal from the Ark to return to Reach and then got to the Zeta Halo)
They destroyed it in four min because they were there for a while they basically jump blind in to a hive
I got serious God of War (2018) vibes from these new and old characters in Halo Infinite:
Master Chief = Kratos
Weapon = BOI
Cortana = Faye
Echo 216 Pilot = Mimir
Those transitions from cutscene to first person are crisp
Atriox has become my Favorite character of all time in Infinite. I already had some respect for him but this made me completely like him.
Atriox and the way he didn't budge with Cortana threats and Met her up on them. He is a complete Badass no wonder the banished followed him. I would follow him and im Human. He is a complete Badass. He also beat Master Chief.

@@Don-V- I believe this information is in the novels and in Halo wars 2. This was pre halo 5. The banished didn't specifically hate humanity at that time and would accept certain humans into their ranks however they'd have to prove useful.

I watched this after watching God of War, the drop off was ridiculous lol, you can tell 343 inherited Halo, they can't tell a story to save their lives. The story was basically exposition lmfao. We played exposition, it was Halo: Exposition.
As a huge fan of God of War, I love the storytelling of Infinite. It's definitely my favorite story after Halo 2.

I'm kind of sad that they worked Sam-034 into the plot, but when the Weapon asks Chief if he has any family he doesn't mention Blue Team at all.

The Heroic ending makes it look like this truly is closer to the conclusion of John 117s story. The musical... motifs? the exploration of the Weapon, Escharum, Atriox, Chief and the Harbingers' characters, the Endless, the lost battle of the UNSC... its like we are close to being prepared for one, or more than one, huge final fight, to a sacrifice or a victory.
I hope so, maybe bring Jerome in as the new protagonist. I imagine he is much younger.

- What happened to Atriox after the opening? How did he survive his planet's destruction?
- Master Chief's Blue Teammates like Kelly and Fred
- Playing as Elite in Multiplayer
- Forge mode
- Firefight mode
-Co-op mode

Not going to lie, this game made me really sad. As a hardcore fan who's read all the books, watched all the movies, and has an intimate relationship with the lore it made me really sad to hear and see the events and "whispers" that Cortana left behind. I understood everything as if I was in Chief's shoes. His entire life has been full of depressing events, yet losing Cortana was just the icing on the cake. He really is a machine to go through what he has gone through but I'm really glad that this Weapon seems to be a worthy successor to Cortana, especially since she isn't the same but kind of is.

Halo has the best storyline among all fiction. I love it to the core. I enjoy GLP channel because the videos preent that story quite nicely embedded within the game. There were some loose ends. Some suddenness to all this...Cortana's sacrifice, the banished destroying infinity, the Harbinger etc etc.....but what a lovable mature story. It's been what....11 years since the first halo game. What an evolution!!!! This is the one I love it with all heart apart from Death Note. Kudos GLP

I come back here from time to time to “watch” this because infinite is in my opinion a damn good campaign and will let this play in the background while I’m cooking or something, and the little details in this game, like at 2:32 when the pilot struggles to open the one door, is still only one door open at 7:00 but big daddy just pushes it aside like its a screen door on a back porch

from what Video games taught me, "TAG DESIGNATION: FRIENDLY" could be a trap, we've all seen enemies using friendly forces equipment to lure more of the forces and/or generals to slaughter.

I am actually kind of sad that I decided to watch this movie instead of buying/playing this game.
I didn't think the game would be worth playing after just recently doing the MCC and stopping halfway Halo 4 and didn't bother to replay Halo 5 (hated the story). I pretty much was all about Halo the previous week and didn't have the time to do the Infinite Campaign.
But I definitely did miss out on the experience of playing a hurt and conflicted Master Chief who at the beginning of this game, had to deal with an AI that wasn't Cortana and a coward pilot who wasn't Foehammer or anything close to Sgt. Johnson or any of the soldiers that had Master Chief's back from before.
Yet, throughout this game you actually warm up to the new AI, even begin to banter a bit with her. Also, Echo was a bit much with his fear but his fears were justified.
The ending actually felt like closure for not just the Master Chief, but for the player as well.

How I missed Master Chief's badass one liners
The opening scene with Infinity just makes me wonder. I've watched this about 8 times. And it still just doesn't make any sense to me how the largest ship gets ran through while it ran through covenant ships. How in the hell were those shields down?
Even worse. Chief gets absolutely bodied by some dumb offshoot halo game boss.
Worse than that. Atriox doesn't even finish chief off....he let's him live and throws him into space??? Finish him or at least fckn properly capture him
Something happened they hadn't told us yet it could have been sabotage or something else also considering the banished have their own AI it's possible the Infinity could have been hacked or there could have been an inside job to bring the Shields down. We'll find out eventually why the Halo went down so. With Cortana gone now it all the forerunners tech the humans have in their possession I imagine the humans will have some very dope technology in the coming expansions to Halo Infinity. Considering Master Chief's combat skin as the forerunners would call it, is like a level 2 and the didact's is something like 16 we have a lot of work to do. On top of they have a lot of work to do with ship design do you remember in Halo 3 the dreadnought that truth used to go to the the ark it took all those Mac rounds fired by all of those UNSC ships and didn't even get a scratch. Theme metal alone used by the forerunners is damn near indestructible and there's no telling what knowledge, weapons etc that the banished picked up while on the ark. There is no telling what the banished was able to get or learn from the ark they was there a long time if not mistaken. They were digging they were doing research they were looking for God knows what. They were also somehow able to make it back from far beyond the edge of the Milky Way they were far enough from the Milky Way to be able to see the entire Galaxy. They have something up their sleeve.

Firstly, I don't think the Shielding protects against an entire ass ship ramming into it. Different universe and rules of course, but the same goes with star wars. There were 4 of those huge ram ships that completely blindsided the Infinity. Also it's unknown if the infinity is actually gone. It could very well be sitting in space where Zeta Halo was (Zeta Halo up and left in those 6 months with whatever was nearby for some reason).
Firstly, it's not the writers fault that you didn't play Halo Wars 2. Atriox is very clearly setup to be major deal. Secondly, he clearly knows a lot about what's going on, and has some kind of plan. It's very possible that he explicitly let Chief go. Notice the line he says as well.
