A tip for people who don't have a rice cooker or a steamer. just take a large metal or non stick pot with a lid. place some sand or salt at the bottom. make sure the pot is completely dry and let it preheat on a low medium flame for 15 minutes. after preheating, place a cookie cutter or a metal stand and place your cake pan with the cake batter on top of it. cover the pot with the lid and place some kind of cloth on top to preserve the heat. just dont remove the lid from time to time as it'll cause the heat to escape. the cooking time depends upon the type of batter. for example if you're making the kind of sponge Hanse is making then it'll take approximately 30 mins. i've been making cakes from this method for an year now and it works so good. hope this helps

Honestly, this I’ve seen recipes where I have to cut the sugar to only 1/3 of the written amount and still think it’s a tad too sweet. You can always adjust the sugar if you don’t want that much. (But I think this one is okay)
I didn't expect it to turn this way but you really make the cake more better than the ordinary one, this is the best idea when things didn't goes as planned👍💝
I don’t have a mixer at home so I have to beat the egg whites by hand, and it usually takes me around 8 mins, with short rests in between. It’s not too bad tbh. Someone gave me a tip to add a bit of vinegar to the egg whites before beating, so maybe the vinegar makes it easier? You can’t taste/smell the vinegar btw, it’s just there as a stabilizer.

Oh, my God! I like strawberries. This Strawberry Cake looks so delicious. It must be a happy day to have such a cake while resting at home. Thank you for sharing. Looking forward to your other videos.
For some reason I read their name Hange instead of Hanse- Attack on Titan is engraved into my mind now.
@Sam IsALittleWierd AAAAHHHH I DIDN’T EVEN REALISE THAT I READ IT LIKE THAT I JUST NOTICED WHEN I READ YOUR COMMENT!!!

The cake looks fluffy ✨
i love to see, how did you make it works even the cake doesn't turns out right! At least you're not lying to us.

A woman of culture but gurl your centuries late in watching deadman.
My new favourite thing now is asmr cooking and i will watch (at least) one video before I go to sleep so I can go to sleep without feeling so incredibly anxious. Thank you Hanse
I'm sorry but I laughed so hard when it didn't come out right
Your food presentation is just too good, loved it
Can you also do that in the oven? I don’t have a rice cooker. If so then how long would it bake? ❤️✨ Looks delicious

Jesus- is there always that much sugar in cAkes?
Thats why they taste good 😔
@@jennifergomez2452 sad truth.
That moment when you check the nutrition facts of one of your favorite snacks for the first time and realize how much sugar is in it
Honestly, this I’ve seen recipes where I have to cut the sugar to only 1/3 of the written amount and still think it’s a tad too sweet. You can always adjust the sugar if you don’t want that much. (But I think this one is okay)
I guess you'd be surprised to find out the sugar content of buttercream cakes 😅 This strawberry cake is already on the lighter side.
I didn't expect it to turn this way but you really make the cake more better than the ordinary one, this is the best idea when things didn't goes as planned👍💝
Even I felt my arms getting a good exercise from watching this

What were you doing when “rice cooker” came to mind for a non oven cake
many people have made cakes using a rice cooker tho haha
a rice cooker is just a pot in a personal oven.
you can make basically anything in s rice cooker, i cook my spaghetti noodles in it.

I think she should've greased the inside of the rice cooker pot with butter or something...
Korean rice cooking pot has a special coating. So we dont use butter or someting. (Rice is much more sticky than cake...)
parchment paper would do the trick

Wow you beat the egg whites by hand....that must have taken a long time lol 😅
I don’t have a mixer at home so I have to beat the egg whites by hand, and it usually takes me around 8 mins, with short rests in between. It’s not too bad tbh. Someone gave me a tip to add a bit of vinegar to the egg whites before beating, so maybe the vinegar makes it easier? You can’t taste/smell the vinegar btw, it’s just there as a stabilizer.
Look at your gentle little wooden spoon.
The ... made me giggle - I've had that happen before too :D
