Ok so i made this cake and it taste amazing. For the people who have the “my cake is not rising” problem I strongly suggest you add baking powder! The eggs with sugar and corn syrup should be thick whipped within 1-2 minutes. Those are problems im seeing and if there is anymore when making this recipe please let me know so I can help 😊

I made this recipe today. For the sponge cake, I add 25g strawberry jam and reduce a little sugar. For the cream, I substitute half of the whipping cream with creamcheese. And BOOM! It tastes AMAZINGGGGG, seriously everyone should give it a try. The cake is so moist and flavorful, while the cream is tangy, yet sweet and fresh. Thank you for sharing!
@@Aurora-qh2ju it's because the consistency was so thick if it's runny it would drip all the way down XD Edit: It's possible that it happened because of the cake temperature I'm not sure if it's similar to melted chocolate that when you put it in a refrigerated cake it gets runny and it just freezes

I made it and here are my notes for anyone looking: In general it turned out good! We doubled the recipe but maybe we didn’t mix the eggs long enough as the cake didn’t rise that much, I’d probably recommend using baking powder. The cake itself was pretty good, again since it didn’t rise it wasn’t as soft SO MAKE SURE YOU MIX ENOUGH! Other then that it was a pretty good, solid cake!
Hello, there is no need for baking powder in sponge cakes. An easy way to make sponge cakes is to separate the egg whites and combine the flour, egg yolks, sugar and vanilla extract in a separate bowl. Set aside. Then whisk the egg whites at high speed until they become stiff. You can make sure they're mixed enough when they stick to the bottom of the bowl as you flip it over. You can now pour the batter and stir gently as not to flatten the egg whites. You will get great results every time.
@@Hulalulatallulahoop2 Cakes are on the easier side when it comes to difficulty level in baking. The only thing I'd look into outside of the recipe is searching up tips to bake a good cake for a good texture.

I think they kept in mind not to push too much over board as it will drip more on its own. So maybe it’s about trying to predict how much it will drop down before you do it :)
Keeping the cake super chilled before you add the topping will also help it to not over drip. When it’s whipped the temp rises cause of the air, so spreading it onto a chilled cake will temp shock it and slow it down so it’s a little more controlled.
@@janice9975 hi! i just go to the dairy section of my grocery store and buy heavy cream. i beat the heavy cream with a whisk after adding some vanilla extract and powdered sugar (or regular sugar) until it forms stiff peaks and is whipped cream. it takes some time and effort but it is delicious.
Sooo after watching this channel for so long I FINALLY MADE IT! Just something to point out, • I couldn't find strawberries (it's not the season yet) so I alternate between jam and cream. • I used granulated sugar and the sponge turns out super sweet, so I cut down the sugar to half. • I left the sponge cake for a while and tried them again 2 hours after baking, it tastes good but dry. So I watered down strawberry jam and boiled it, and spread it over the sponge. It tastes more fantastic :) Other than that, thanks for the recipe! It's really good!

I have tried it..and oh boy ...my leg hurts cause i'm standing too long...although mine wasnt pretty and fluffy as yours, it's a decent version of it and quite proud of it too ...hehehehe...ok i'm gonna sleep now cause now it's already 1am and my legs are throbing from all that cooking and washing

For a basic cover and a couple of swirls i had to refrigerate the cake every ten minutes or so or it would start melting . I have found many "hacks" that claim they can fix that online but haven't tried any yet. But this video has the smoothest whipped cream frosting i ever saw.. so pretty

To make a stable whipped cream frosting, add your cream and sugar then whip on high speed with a mixer until it forms stiff peaks. That's the important part, because if you over or under whip it the whipped cream will only last a couple of hours and then get watery. Look up stiff whipped cream peaks for a reference to make things easier. If that doesn't work, try buying a whipped cream stabilizer. You'll have to add more sugar if you use that, but it makes whipped cream perfect for cakes. If you use either of these techniques your whipped cream frosting will turn out great. Hope that helps
If you don’t mind the artificial ingredients, adding a little instant pudding mix will stabilize it but too much of it or too much beating will make it more like a mousse consistency. And always check to make sure the granules are dissolved before you pull it. Its better for a slow whip so you don’t over mix. And you can use different flavors to make customized whipped creams. I like doing French vanilla, whipping it all the way and then whipping in some room temp cream cheese. Absolutely wonderful for filling cakes, very stable and really good with fruit.

Not at all lol. I stumbled on this acc quite a long time ago just when I started baking. I was trying to watch ASMR so I could fall asleep (I have insomnia) and these videos really helped. It’s so relaxing and doesn’t have blasting cardi b music in the background like a lot of asmr channels have lol. I still use it to fall asleep but I also love baking these. I made the mango cheesecake and this one and my family loved it. I’m going to make another recipe off the Chanel soon for my cousins to get a second opinion.

I made this today!!!!!!!!! It’s SO yummy! The cake is very light, fluffy, and the perfect amount of sweetness. The whipped cream decoration though, for me, wasn’t thick enough so it dripped too much for me😅 but this recipe is REALLY DELICIOUS🤗💗💗💗💗

I tried sooooo many times using cream with 35.1% fat content, but it’ll be runny by the next hours 😭 In desperate attempt, I tried using gelatin as a stabilizer (many times too), but the texture turned out pudding like.. I want it stays like a cream, not pudding.. Phew.. I almost give up.. Most of the recipes using whipped cream (especially Korea and Japan) don’t say adding stabilizer.. But the cream stays very nicely and beautiful.. I’m dying to know how.. 😰
Yeengo Cheng yes of course! I always make sure the cream and the bowl super cold before whipping.. Didn’t put in the sugar in the beginning (because it said sugar makes it harder to whip) Then work on whipping in cold room (I decrease the AirCon temp).. After that quickly put the finished cream into the fridge.. All that efforts.. Useless.. It always turns runny the couple hours 😢
Yeengo Cheng What I haven’t try is using double cream (48% fat content), because it’s kinda hard to get in my country.. I mean.. I want to make sure first if using double cream will works.. Or maybe there are any other way.. So I won’t be in vain ordering overseas 😅

Es que Sailor la regó con la crema batida jajajajaja Creo que no debió de agregar el colorante comestible, tal vez con solo una pizca de mermelada hubiera bastado para que saliera rosita bb como él quería. Y sobre la crema batida blanca, tal vez batió de más (cuando haces esto se puede cortar, al igual que con las claras de huevo) o la crema que escogió no tenía el porcentaje correcto de grasita para espesar :(
@@saralindaa Y weno el pan creo que sí le salió bien, yo he hecho muchas recetas asiáticas y lo de los moldes sí es cierto. Todo allá es muy petite y bonito, a veces la cantidad que se especifican en los vídeos no es suficiente para que se ajusten a los moldes de 20 cm (o más) que se manejan aquí. Eso de duplicar la ración pudo funcionarle pero a veces jugar con las cantidadades puede modificar la textura de la tarta original y corre el riesgo de hacerse duro :(
no sé a mi me sorprende que la crema batida le haya quedado así con esa forma y no se termine de caer hasta el piso, tal vez la metió al freezer después de derramarla, porque si no, no entiendo.

how did you stop the whipping cream from dripping down the sides from a certain point?
hari she whipped it to the point where it’s just thick enough to retain some of its shape but not too much that it’s the consistency of frosting
I think they kept in mind not to push too much over board as it will drip more on its own. So maybe it’s about trying to predict how much it will drop down before you do it :)
Maybe it's not actually whip cream
Keeping the cake super chilled before you add the topping will also help it to not over drip. When it’s whipped the temp rises cause of the air, so spreading it onto a chilled cake will temp shock it and slow it down so it’s a little more controlled.
Mostly practice, I imagine. This baker is so skilled.

hi! i just go to the dairy section of my grocery store and buy heavy cream.
i beat the heavy cream with a whisk after adding some vanilla extract and powdered sugar (or regular sugar) until it forms stiff peaks and is whipped cream. it takes some time and effort but it is delicious.
Did you make it with 7” cake pan? Was there leftover of the whipped cream?

Sooo after watching this channel for so long I FINALLY MADE IT! Just something to point out,
• I couldn't find strawberries (it's not the season yet) so I alternate between jam and cream.
• I used granulated sugar and the sponge turns out super sweet, so I cut down the sugar to half.
• I left the sponge cake for a while and tried them again 2 hours after baking, it tastes good but dry. So I watered down strawberry jam and boiled it, and spread it over the sponge. It tastes more fantastic :)
Other than that, thanks for the recipe! It's really good!

For a basic cover and a couple of swirls i had to refrigerate the cake every ten minutes or so or it would start melting . I have found many "hacks" that claim they can fix that online but haven't tried any yet. But this video has the smoothest whipped cream frosting i ever saw.. so pretty

To make a stable whipped cream frosting, add your cream and sugar then whip on high speed with a mixer until it forms stiff peaks. That's the important part, because if you over or under whip it the whipped cream will only last a couple of hours and then get watery. Look up stiff whipped cream peaks for a reference to make things easier. If that doesn't work, try buying a whipped cream stabilizer. You'll have to add more sugar if you use that, but it makes whipped cream perfect for cakes. If you use either of these techniques your whipped cream frosting will turn out great. Hope that helps

If you don’t mind the artificial ingredients, adding a little instant pudding mix will stabilize it but too much of it or too much beating will make it more like a mousse consistency. And always check to make sure the granules are dissolved before you pull it. Its better for a slow whip so you don’t over mix. And you can use different flavors to make customized whipped creams. I like doing French vanilla, whipping it all the way and then whipping in some room temp cream cheese. Absolutely wonderful for filling cakes, very stable and really good with fruit.

Not at all lol. I stumbled on this acc quite a long time ago just when I started baking. I was trying to watch ASMR so I could fall asleep (I have insomnia) and these videos really helped. It’s so relaxing and doesn’t have blasting cardi b music in the background like a lot of asmr channels have lol. I still use it to fall asleep but I also love baking these. I made the mango cheesecake and this one and my family loved it. I’m going to make another recipe off the Chanel soon for my cousins to get a second opinion.

I made this today!!!!!!!!! It’s SO yummy! The cake is very light, fluffy, and the perfect amount of sweetness. The whipped cream decoration though, for me, wasn’t thick enough so it dripped too much for me😅 but this recipe is REALLY DELICIOUS🤗💗💗💗💗

In desperate attempt, I tried using gelatin as a stabilizer (many times too), but the texture turned out pudding like.. I want it stays like a cream, not pudding.. Phew.. I almost give up..
Most of the recipes using whipped cream (especially Korea and Japan) don’t say adding stabilizer.. But the cream stays very nicely and beautiful.. I’m dying to know how.. 😰

Yeengo Cheng yes of course! I always make sure the cream and the bowl super cold before whipping.. Didn’t put in the sugar in the beginning (because it said sugar makes it harder to whip) Then work on whipping in cold room (I decrease the AirCon temp).. After that quickly put the finished cream into the fridge.. All that efforts.. Useless.. It always turns runny the couple hours 😢

Creo que no debió de agregar el colorante comestible, tal vez con solo una pizca de mermelada hubiera bastado para que saliera rosita bb como él quería. Y sobre la crema batida blanca, tal vez batió de más (cuando haces esto se puede cortar, al igual que con las claras de huevo) o la crema que escogió no tenía el porcentaje correcto de grasita para espesar :(

@@saralindaa Y weno el pan creo que sí le salió bien, yo he hecho muchas recetas asiáticas y lo de los moldes sí es cierto.
Todo allá es muy petite y bonito, a veces la cantidad que se especifican en los vídeos no es suficiente para que se ajusten a los moldes de 20 cm (o más) que se manejan aquí.
Eso de duplicar la ración pudo funcionarle pero a veces jugar con las cantidadades puede modificar la textura de la tarta original y corre el riesgo de hacerse duro :(
no sé a mi me sorprende que la crema batida le haya quedado así con esa forma y no se termine de caer hasta el piso, tal vez la metió al freezer después de derramarla, porque si no, no entiendo.
