    I think I remember Travis saying in one of the lives (or somewhere) that this gun was setup for Barracuda 18s. It sure did shoot them well.

      Slugs at those speeds? No.. you need them at least 950-1050 fps to stabilize and be as accurate as possible. Otherwise you’re just wasting money on slugs

    18gr all day it seems! Nice shooting!

    Go through all of them that shot at least decently well at 50 yds! Fast forward through the shots so it isn't too lengthy but that distance will tell how accurate they truly are, because many shot so well at 25.. I need one of these guns 😂 who will be carrying them?!

    Dang it, I just bought two Avengers (.25, and liked it so much I bought the .22 a few weeks later) in the last two months.......now I see this JTS Max, and I want it! Great name for your channel, really enjoyed your review on the air venturi's and just finished watching this pellet test video you've done for the jts. I guess I'm going to have to preorder one at Pyramid.
    Great content, nice audio, and appreciate the hard work (that's probably a bit fun too) so we can see what it can do. Subscribed.

    I picked up the .25 standard a few weeks ago and I’ve tried just about every pellet I could find and I’m working my way through the slugs in the weights that make sense and the pellets pretty much all work well with mine but a couple of the slugs are just not even usable even up close. I was most disappointed by the FX hybrid slugs I guess because I wanted to believe in them but just out of my barrel they don’t make the cut I always start lightest grain to heaviest and the best performer close to the middle weight gets the zero and I can usually still hit with everything I shoot but I don’t have a chronograph and I’m new to this PCP thing I haven’t adjusted anything on the gun at all because I want to see exactly what everything did out of the box with any ammo I might use

    Holy crap that thing just groups good with anything.... my air venturi avenger is a lot like that. It likes so many kinds of ammo that finding the best one for it was actually a pain in the ass lol!! Some guns are not ammo fussy for sure

    I am not insulting anyone when I say this but.. the whole slug fad right now, isn’t used correctly. Just because it can shoot pellets does not mean it will shoot slugs. You guys never see good accuracy from the slugs because you’re tune isn’t shooting fast enough. Slugs are designed to stabilize at high speeds. Somewhere around 950-1050 fps. Also.. the higher the twist the worse the gun will shoot the slugs.
    Most of these guns are definitely not designed to shoot slugs at all. Pellets are drag stabilized. That’s what the skirt is for. They stabilize at lower speeds, and the skirt is making it slow down faster then a slug, which is why they are so accurate at short distances.
    There are way to many people getting involved with this hobby that are going to be really disappointed. You need a slug barrel, and a powerful gun to use slugs. Otherwise you’re just passing money down the toilet.

      Spot on comment on slugs and the PCPs that would (or should) discharge them accurately. Thank you for your observations.

      I have seen this gun in .25 shoot slugs accurately enough to make a one ragged hole 5 shot group at 40 yards.
      I would like to see the .22 shooting slugs at distance.

    How does this compare to the Air Venturi avenger-x .22 in terms of reliability, leaks etc ?

    • @AirGunWeb
      @AirGunWeb  10 месяцев назад

      Only time will tell. The new production JTS rifles seem to be holding air pretty well. The Avenge-X is brand new but has the learning curve of the Avenger, so it should be pretty good. I guess we'll see.
      Cheers
