Damn, when Bea striked the first chord at 1:57...SOLD!!
I played the ml1 pro sun today and now i am in love with this guitar it sounds so great!
chapman wants to make sure you get as much bang for your buck as possible. The complete opposite of what Gibson is doing today
I haven't seen hardly any vids of people complaining about a chapman. they aren't quite my style either but he is right, I'd rather get me an older used gibson over a new one. I'd even settle for a les paul clone rather than a new one
Yeah I played some 1000$ Gibson's the other day and I couldn't not believe how terrible they felt.. I've played better guitars In the 250$ range lol
There are Gibson USA Les Pauls, Explorers and Flying Vs and American Fender Strats and Teles for about the same money as the Chapman Pro series.
I don't see the bang for your buck stuff...
Yea I hear that. I bought a les Paul 10 years ago, came with hard case. I bought another les Paul last year, gig back. $1200 guitar, and I got a gig bag. Well that guitar was snapped in half in its gig bag, while at a gig. Somebody tripped and elbow dropped my axe, and snapped it. I need a hard case if I’m spending hat kind of money
Number 1 reason why they are facing bankruptcy...
Nice lamp
I love lamp.
agree
Its the ML Standard lamp Pro with a great bright tone ha ha
Well done.
Is there a pro series version of that lamp?
I love lamp.
this man predicted lamp memes
Yeah, It's shaped like a leg.
Dont judge the lamp by its shade....
Other Guitar Companies : Let's go DOWN! Standard---Studio...
Chapman Guitars : Let's go UP!!
STANDARD---PRO
You do realize both go up, right? That ML-1 pro is nice though!
Thanks for the side by side. Still not sure which way I'm going, but I appreciate all the information I can get.
So I hadn't watched this video, and bought an ml3 pro tonight just from playing it. What a wonderful guitar for the money. Thank you Chapman.
I love the clean tone so rich and bright
I always enjoy the Fro videos. Nice work, mate.
The coil tapped ML1 sounded awesome! kinda like a 6 string Tosin Abasi tone
Probably the most helpful Chapman video to date for me ...
I really love all of the chapman pickups they sound amazing and I really want 1 I love the ml1 standard coffee its my type of guitar and I know it would do the blues justice
I watch Rabea's reviews just to listen to him playing. Those cleans ... wow
Been watching Rabea for years. I can say that his phrasing has massively improve. Its more tasty and melodic. Nice guitars btw. Chapman guitars have done a great job. I wish the ml1 modern standard has 5 way switch as well. Its more practical than having to push/pull to get those single coil sounds.
Chuck Nuqui yeah, the electric guitar industry kinda went nuts for a while when Ibanez came up with this design
I find 5 way switches a bit fiddly. Even the middle position on a 3-way is hit and miss sometimes if you need to change whilst playing. I think the best solution I've seen is push-push pots rather than push-pull (like a ballpoint pen), you can just slap it to toggle.
indeed. the push pull is an idiotic design, and they all come with it. i only use push push on mine. but i use a 5 way plus push push.
Rabea sucks at guitar but does have an annoying haircut.
Honestly Rabeas playing has always inspired me to practice being more classy. Very talented guitarist who found his sound. Im still trying to find my tone and style
oh man!the quality is sooo wonderful!!!i love robs guitars!greetings from austria
I’m glad that I found some useful information because I’ve been looking at the Chapman ghost fret.
Bought a standard and absolutely love it. Sounds amazing.
nice review, very helpful, I haven't played for years and thinking about Chapman, I will start again with standard and see what will happen. thanks
thought your playing was awesome Bea, articulate & very professional sounding, & you didn`t just hide behind an overdrive, great stuff mate!
Thank You guys for making this video! Looks Amazing. I would love to have this exact spec ML1 Modern Pro with an all Mahogany body and neck! Please keep these videos coming! 😀
5:05 The Modern Standard sounds amazing clean! I've been thinking about getting another Strat body. I miss that Strat sound, but I like the option to go really heavy with as well. Now I am sold. Amazing work gents!
Thanks for this video, Rabea!!!
Wow! That coil split on the ML-1 Standard Modern is the BEST coil split I've ever heared!! Just wow!
I have an ML1 standard natural ash and Ebony fretboard in which i have changed the neck and bridge pickups with Seymour Duncan, JB-jr at the neck and little 59 strat at the bridge, the middle pickup is still the original one. Of course now the split coil are two , on the volume knob and the tone knob. This guitar it was already a killer, now is much more
I just love listening to Rabea play. May get me one of those pro modern bad boys .
I played an ML1 Pro in store and loved it so much that I bought it. I really think Chapman makes some of the best guitars for the money, hands down. Highly recommended! The case is really damn nice, too.
I already have the ML1 pro modern in the sun colour and its beautiful. I'm seriously looking at the new 2020 model of the ML3 in the hot blue colour to go with it. Cant wait until they're in stock.
You're a great guitarist Rabea! You should make a lesson on those scale descending rapid rundowns that you do. They sound amazing!!
Beautiful playing
ML1 standard ordered, can't wait :)
That minute long riff at 5:05 is beautiful man, sounds amazing 😍
I honestly just want to see the ML-DAVE
nah, it just says DAVE whenever it sees a camera
Apparently they're going to have 3 bass models: a 4-string, a 5-string and a Dave signature.
Excellent video Bea, thanks
dood you look so much better, way to go!
the pro ones are the most beautiful, but i don't have enough money, so go standard...
like the majority of people then. Most of us cannot afford half the stuff demo'd here on RUclips.
Agreed..
Lucas Lelièvre - I have the baritone standard. It's worth far more than what I paid for it. The standard range is fantastic value.
Douglas Bell well that's nice to know !
I have the money to buy a pro, but I’m not going to buy a guitar just because of what I see from a video or picture. The only place to play one of these is at a riff city guitars(which are nowhere near me). Unless I can get ahold of one to try out I’m not wasting money even on a standard.
when will there be a standard version of the V?
I grabbed one of the Ghost Fret Standards, and just love it. I expected that I'd end up wanting to change the pickups and tuners, but I really don't see a need to change either. It's not "perfect", but it's so damn good that I'm keeping it "as is".
Guitars look great especially the pro, did you set yours up? Or as they came?
By far the best youtube guitarist
Love the one on the left, the tele style. ML 3 pro Traditional.
I own one and love it! Great guitar, well made and great bang for the $$$$
I am on cusp of picking that one up myself. I don't have a tele in my collection. But don't want a single coil in the bridge position. Maybe a SD tele hot rail is in order.
The more I watch Rabea in videos, the more I want to go for a pint with him. What a guy.
please, what is the setup used when Bea starts at 5:04? that sound is gold
great Bea... Gonna go and get the pro... might as well do it..I've been watching you, and listening to you shred on all of them...
cant wait to get my hands on a chapman thank you sir
Seriously considering on getting the ml1 pro! But i believe in "try before you buy" thing. So hopefully this guitar feels good in my hands.
Rabea, nothing about the guitars at all, just wanted to say how much I love your playing, thank you for the privilege of hearing it. 🤘
You make some seriously classy guitars!!! I can't wait to get my hands on one...
I am getting money together for a Ghost Fret Standard atm... one more month and it should be mine :)
Nice. I really, really love mine. It was worth every penny and then some.
Did you get it?
I ordered mine on Thursday. Gets here Monday!
Conan 1812 Lmao! So apparently you've never played a nice Schecter,Aria pro,or even the older Japanese Ibanez, fender, or Gibson copies that there was lawsuits do to the fact they were selling similar but better quality guitars for a better price! So if your happy with your USA fender or Gibson more power to ya! But think about playing one before claiming they're garbage. I'm not talking about going to GC and playing the cheapest Chinese made guitar either! Fuck bro I won't even buy a China guitar! But Japanese Korean even Indonesian guitars can be as good or sometimes better than their American made counter parts.
Found the deal of a lifetime at a local Salvation Army on a ML1 Modern needed a little cleaning and restringing which I love to do regardless they had a 50% off store wide sale going on through the holidays out the door price was 32 usd and some change even acquired a 2 dollar yukalele that happened to be in tune it was good day for me and those don’t come around too often
7:40 sold
Very nice playing
Thanks for the longer video, best wishes to Matt and the rest of the crew.
Played my first Chapman (used) at Guitar Center and WOW and DAMN...for an offshore build and a nod to a strat with a reverse headstock tele style and real Seymour Duncan single coils...THIS THING ROCKS!!! I had a hard time dialing out the fizz that stainless steel frets do for the treble range, but once i figured that out and got the amp set up...THIS thing is a real improvement over a basic guitar. They are asking 499 and this guitar is worth more once YOU play it. the whammy bar was solid and stayed in tune well. The bigger squarer body versus a rounded strat style was NOT uncomfortable at all. I have played for over 30 years and virtually every guitar made.....I had NOT played this guitar ever anywhere and within minutes...the unmistakable sounds and usable tone controls made me feel like I could play that guitar ALL night at a gig or anywhere....hard to put down!!! Chappers....YOU Nailed it...keep up the great work Brother!!! Rabea....YOU are a PRO at playing and demoing!!!! Cheers from America....Make Guitars Great Again!!!
The cleans on that std was lovely.
Love my standard...Extremely beautiful to look at and sounds amazing...i am sure top pro models sounds stellar...ordering more as we speak..
I just ordered an ML1 Traditional Standard as my first electric guitar...nervous as fuck...
I am excited as fuck^^
But also nervous, 470 bucks is the upper end of what I can afford, so this really gotta be good lol
Tbh, I just wanna get my hands on it and play play play
Galgenvogel congrats man! From everything I've heard they're great guitars. And honestly, if it's your first, just play the shit out of it and that's all that matters
Guys what do you think should I get the ML1 standard modern or Sechter Omen 6 extreme FR?
Stefan Jankovic I'm not a big fan of schekter, I would go ESP/LTD over them. However for about the same price you get a similar looking guitar with a Floyd rose. But the amount of time and dedication Chapman puts into their R&D of guitars I would figure theirs will sound better and feel better. Plus you don't have to deal with the finniky Floyd rose system. Especially if you've just started those can be extremely discouraging between intonation, tuning, and bending and re stringing and getting in the way of volume knobs.... Unless you're doing a Jimi hendrix/Van Halen tribute then I don't recommend one, especially for your first guitar
Would you all mind sharing the amp and pedalboard setup for this video? Amazing guitars and playing by Rabea. Just beautiful tones!
Goodness.Hey Rabea !!
Awesome sounding guitars......i'll definetly buy your guitars.....well priced guitars......
Love from India....Keep up this awesome work...
I love the beautifulness body design of Pro Series that's pretty awesome guitar with great features! Honestly I don't like the headstock design and it doesn't fit-in with the guitar though Great Work Chapman Guitar🤘
What's the neck/fretboard on the Ghost Fret Pro comparable to in other brands & models? Is the fretboard flat or rounded? Also how much smaller is the body compared to a Gibson Explorer?
Are you ever going to take orders for a custom shop style product? I'd love an ML3 but being left handed I can't get one and I don't really want to order a right handed and restring it, never looks as good along with other issues.. beautiful guitars though, keep up the good work
Guess you’re pretty happy now huh
Rabeast amazing playing mate.
You are a great musician Bea.
I own a ML-1 modern standard, it's an amazing guitar. But I did have to wrap a sock around the strings after the nut, because I got lots of clanky after-noises.
thanks sir awesome video
This man makes every guitar sounds killer xD
Rabea, were you using pedals with the clean tones on either guitar, or was it just completely clean channel on the amplifier? Thanks!
Pls consider gloss finishes on the pros! Satin is nice but gloss just makes the flames pop
can you guys make a review of the mlv? i want to get one but is not mutch out ther
about the guitar thanks
Honestly I'm liking the Standard more. The coil tap was exactly what I'm looking for, and I like the aesthetic of it just as much as the pro. I feel like it would go well with my Peavey Bandit, simply because of the versatility
I agree, I have the V2 ML3 standard modern in Ember and the aesthetics blow anything close to the price out of the water.. and that sound, is just scrumptious lol!
Looking to buy a guitar, and I was torn between the contemporary strat and telecaster, and the ML3... I like the look for the tele, but the sound of the strat, this and the ML3 are like the best of both worlds because with the ML3 I'm getting that tele look, with a "strat" sound option. I'll probably go with the ML1 modern only because a shop is selling a like new used one for $300 where as the new was $499
Hope to have the standard baritone. Wanted the Rabea sig but it's out of my budget.
I have been considering a Chapman for a couple of years now. I'm glad I waited so I could take advantage of the different options. Personally I would just about donate my left nut to science for a Pro model. But to be honest, I don't play well enough to justify the extra cost of a Pro model. I play blues, and the Standard sounds plenty good enough for my needs. ML-1 Standard Modern it is.... unless they plan on making some more changes I'm unaware of? 8-/ I would kick myself in the ass if I went ahead and bought the guitar, only to find out that next years models were going to be made of gold, and the pickups were voiced by angels from above or something... that would suck! Thanks Rabea, great playing as usual. You have a beautiful style that is very musical, not just shredding up and down the neck to see if your faster than Johnny Hiland or something. Thanks for the demonstration between the Pro and the Standard. I'm opening the Thomann webpage right now ;) Bob in Germany
The ML1 Pro Modern looks and sounds killer. I think I need to treat myself to one.
The cleans on the pro version are jaw dropping
Where's the best place to order a Chapman from in Canada? Either way I'd have to ship overseas, I'd presume.
Is it a mistakes at 8:45 ? You say in another vid that the split coil actually work like 2/1 and 1/2 rather than 10/01 and 01/10, so which one is right for the ml1 pro :D?
Chapman is a so very beautiful guitar
I hope the pro ML1 pro series has the ML standar finished, some people love shiny tops
I want all of those
i love the standard range, i have to say ! , they both sound beautiful, but there was something about the standard , that for the price , i will get it !
Have 3 (need about 6 more and at least 7 Pro series) Standard series ML-1s (Modern "Midnight" [used], Vintage Antique Burst [Used] and the Natural Swamp Ash finish [New] ).
The only problem(s) with the Modern is the fret wire edges and that it reeked of cigarette smoke (guess that means it was used in gigs a lot) LOL.
Plotting (unbeknownst to my GF) on buying a new Black Blood Ghost Fret (but babe, I JUST GOTTA buy one I NEED THAT sound/tone it has !!!).
Anyone know if these guitars have enough space in the back for batteries for active electronics or will I need to route it out?
Could you do a demo of the ML1 Modern Baritone? :)
This comes at the right time, as I intend to buy an ML-3 modern. Probably I'll save some more money and buy a Pro!
What about the lefthanded, finaly ? When will we be able to buy one ^^' ?
Ahh that ML1 Pro 😍, drop a SD 59/JB in there and it's my perfect guitar.
What amp is he playing it through makes a huge difference
@ChapmanGuitars I need a video where Rabea just plays on his own with clean tones for a while!
I wish you would have made or offered the Pro model with a dot or some other type of fret board inlay.
Chris
Well I've had my ML3 Standard for about a month now, and it's just a fantastic instrument to pick up and play, worth every penny of the £400 I paid for it, now if only i could play like Bea 😜🤘
How much do these ml1 models weight?
Are they light or heavy guitars???
Hi! Does anyone know how many pieces is the body of an ML3 Modern Standard? Thank you!
Rabea is a really good player class demo
Awesome 🙂
I want that ML1 pro modern, and the ML3 pro modern!
Is a video Similar to this coming on the new ML3's ??????
I just bought a Standard and I love it! I'm debating on going to try a Pro, but scared that 1: it'll either replace my Standard entirely or 2: I'll buy the Pro then not use the Standard as much
