    chapman wants to make sure you get as much bang for your buck as possible. The complete opposite of what Gibson is doing today

    • @davidenoch818
      @davidenoch818 6 лет назад +9

      I haven't seen hardly any vids of people complaining about a chapman. they aren't quite my style either but he is right, I'd rather get me an older used gibson over a new one. I'd even settle for a les paul clone rather than a new one

      Yeah I played some 1000$ Gibson's the other day and I couldn't not believe how terrible they felt.. I've played better guitars In the 250$ range lol

      There are Gibson USA Les Pauls, Explorers and Flying Vs and American Fender Strats and Teles for about the same money as the Chapman Pro series.
      I don't see the bang for your buck stuff...

      Yea I hear that. I bought a les Paul 10 years ago, came with hard case. I bought another les Paul last year, gig back. $1200 guitar, and I got a gig bag. Well that guitar was snapped in half in its gig bag, while at a gig. Somebody tripped and elbow dropped my axe, and snapped it. I need a hard case if I’m spending hat kind of money

  • @chucknuqui6770

    Been watching Rabea for years. I can say that his phrasing has massively improve. Its more tasty and melodic. Nice guitars btw. Chapman guitars have done a great job. I wish the ml1 modern standard has 5 way switch as well. Its more practical than having to push/pull to get those single coil sounds.

    • @TMmodify
      @TMmodify 6 лет назад +1

      Chuck Nuqui yeah, the electric guitar industry kinda went nuts for a while when Ibanez came up with this design

    • @Wren6991
      @Wren6991 6 лет назад +1

      I find 5 way switches a bit fiddly. Even the middle position on a 3-way is hit and miss sometimes if you need to change whilst playing. I think the best solution I've seen is push-push pots rather than push-pull (like a ballpoint pen), you can just slap it to toggle.

    • @rohadtanyad8908
      @rohadtanyad8908 6 лет назад

      indeed. the push pull is an idiotic design, and they all come with it. i only use push push on mine. but i use a 5 way plus push push.

      I have the money to buy a pro, but I’m not going to buy a guitar just because of what I see from a video or picture. The only place to play one of these is at a riff city guitars(which are nowhere near me). Unless I can get ahold of one to try out I’m not wasting money even on a standard.

      Conan 1812 Lmao! So apparently you've never played a nice Schecter,Aria pro,or even the older Japanese Ibanez, fender, or Gibson copies that there was lawsuits do to the fact they were selling similar but better quality guitars for a better price! So if your happy with your USA fender or Gibson more power to ya! But think about playing one before claiming they're garbage. I'm not talking about going to GC and playing the cheapest Chinese made guitar either! Fuck bro I won't even buy a China guitar! But Japanese Korean even Indonesian guitars can be as good or sometimes better than their American made counter parts.

    Played my first Chapman (used) at Guitar Center and WOW and DAMN...for an offshore build and a nod to a strat with a reverse headstock tele style and real Seymour Duncan single coils...THIS THING ROCKS!!! I had a hard time dialing out the fizz that stainless steel frets do for the treble range, but once i figured that out and got the amp set up...THIS thing is a real improvement over a basic guitar. They are asking 499 and this guitar is worth more once YOU play it. the whammy bar was solid and stayed in tune well. The bigger squarer body versus a rounded strat style was NOT uncomfortable at all. I have played for over 30 years and virtually every guitar made.....I had NOT played this guitar ever anywhere and within minutes...the unmistakable sounds and usable tone controls made me feel like I could play that guitar ALL night at a gig or anywhere....hard to put down!!! Chappers....YOU Nailed it...keep up the great work Brother!!! Rabea....YOU are a PRO at playing and demoing!!!! Cheers from America....Make Guitars Great Again!!!

    • @riffedwood5597
      @riffedwood5597 6 лет назад +1

      Stefan Jankovic I'm not a big fan of schekter, I would go ESP/LTD over them. However for about the same price you get a similar looking guitar with a Floyd rose. But the amount of time and dedication Chapman puts into their R&D of guitars I would figure theirs will sound better and feel better. Plus you don't have to deal with the finniky Floyd rose system. Especially if you've just started those can be extremely discouraging between intonation, tuning, and bending and re stringing and getting in the way of volume knobs.... Unless you're doing a Jimi hendrix/Van Halen tribute then I don't recommend one, especially for your first guitar

    Looking to buy a guitar, and I was torn between the contemporary strat and telecaster, and the ML3... I like the look for the tele, but the sound of the strat, this and the ML3 are like the best of both worlds because with the ML3 I'm getting that tele look, with a "strat" sound option. I'll probably go with the ML1 modern only because a shop is selling a like new used one for $300 where as the new was $499

    I have been considering a Chapman for a couple of years now. I'm glad I waited so I could take advantage of the different options. Personally I would just about donate my left nut to science for a Pro model. But to be honest, I don't play well enough to justify the extra cost of a Pro model. I play blues, and the Standard sounds plenty good enough for my needs. ML-1 Standard Modern it is.... unless they plan on making some more changes I'm unaware of? 8-/ I would kick myself in the ass if I went ahead and bought the guitar, only to find out that next years models were going to be made of gold, and the pickups were voiced by angels from above or something... that would suck! Thanks Rabea, great playing as usual. You have a beautiful style that is very musical, not just shredding up and down the neck to see if your faster than Johnny Hiland or something. Thanks for the demonstration between the Pro and the Standard. I'm opening the Thomann webpage right now ;) Bob in Germany

    I wish you would have made or offered the Pro model with a dot or some other type of fret board inlay.

    Well I've had my ML3 Standard for about a month now, and it's just a fantastic instrument to pick up and play, worth every penny of the £400 I paid for it, now if only i could play like Bea 😜🤘

    I just bought a Standard and I love it! I'm debating on going to try a Pro, but scared that 1: it'll either replace my Standard entirely or 2: I'll buy the Pro then not use the Standard as much
