    I think the Turkish government should authorize some real estate agencies that investors can rely on when purchasing their properties.

      Yes people in the west are not accustomed to such type of frauds. When you have these kind of scams, they become apprehensive about the whole process and the Turkish government will loose out serious buyers

    As one of the potential buyer has a concern about being cheated by fake property dealers, Turkish government may appoint authorised property dealers to protect investors interest and gain confidence of many.

    Understanding that the world over, property deals are transacted at less than market value. If you entered into an agreement of this nature which gave a cash back value and you had a secondary independent valuation of the property from a reputable independent estate agent for clarification would this satisfy the legality of the transaction for meeting the governments qualifying criteria?

    Thanks for the video
    I have two questions:
    1. If I buy a house for 200k$ and after 3 years its value appreciates at 250k$ would I qualify for citizenship after 3 years?
    2. If I sell my property worth of at least 250k$ do I lose citizenship?

    • @user-ov2tm2un1r
      @user-ov2tm2un1r  3 года назад +2

      Thanks for the feedback.
      1- No, you can’t apply for citizenship with a $200K investment. You’ll need to add another property with value of at least $50K.
      2- No, you don’t lose your citizenship. However you can’t sell your property within the first 3 years. Transfer of ownership of the property is restricted.

    I wanted to buy property in Turkey and wanted to have Turkish passport but I’m afraid of too much scams happening in property with people I know it made me scared what to do and whom to trust it is said if you why property worth 2500000 it is not evaluated as 2500000 dollars it is evaluated less by Government officials and then you can’t get citizenship and who is going to do our documentation as all documentation is done in Turkish not in English why it seems to be very risky who will help people like me it’s becoming confusing

      @@tobyluke906 Nope. You have to live in Turkey for 5 years with only for 6 months being out of the country. Then you can apply for citizenship and after taking some tests and following the procedure if you are deemed eligible you can become a Turkish citizen. But again, that’s not %100.
