Oh my freaking god. Dude. This video is truly amazing. I have been fighting a chinese delta for a month and could not get it to work at all. You explaining the options, what the values are, what they mean, and if you change them, what happens, is amazing. I am so shouting about this video to the entire internet.

Right? How many times did you search on RUclips looking for "Delta 3D printer Calibration" and get all excited, only to find out that you had discovered YET ANOTHER video of someone (who probably makes 6 figures as a content creator) explaining how the AUTO-BED-LEVELING PROCEDURE IS ACCOMPLISHED? It's about time someone got their poop in a group and gave us some legit guidance!

This is a very helpful and well made video I've been making my own delta for for about six months now from scratch ( a free time hobby) and about 3 of those have been it just sitting the uncalibrated because I couldn't get it perfect. Thanks to your video I finally managed to get a good print out and its nearly perfect. Thanks for your efforts.

Hi, I would just like to say many thanks for your Delta Kossel Tutorials, I built my last scratch built Kossel mini some time ago using your Repetier configuration videos and have had excellent trouble free high quality service from it, I wanted to use Marlin firmware this time with LCD and SD card flexibility so have just built two Sintron Kossel Mini kits this time and I am almost done with the basic calibration, thanks to you its a breeze to get to grips with it all again as you have a unique way of making it clear and understandable! Pat on the to you dear fellow and thanks again! Jules in the UK

I have learned more in the last 35 minutes, than all of the previous 4 months of fumbling. I am rebuilding my delta, and was swamped with all of the details. You da Man! Thank you. Write a book! I'll buy it.

Awesome tutorial for us newbies!! I recently built an FLSUN Delta printer and found that it was best to update the FW with the latest examples from Marlin.. The one that came with the FLSUN was a custom/tweaked version I believe they built.. I followed your steps (minus a few since I have an auto bed level feature) and so far everything has checked out.. Looking to start printing soon.. Thanks again!!

THANK YOU! I've been guessing at quite a few of these settings in Marlin, This video has told me if I was right or wrong, and if wrong what they really mean! My printer is working like a champ now! Smooth as silk... And that's a first! Again, THANK YOU!

Brother, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I don't know how you found the information on how to do this, but I have been searching on how to do this for my FLSUN SR's for a solid WEEK!!!!!

Thanks for your work just bought and put together a 3dFLSUN and set it up on Ubuntu 17.10 with all your recommendations repetier-host v2.05, sketchup 8 (wine) and Marlin running thru Arduino 1.8.5-linux64 my only issue was I had to apt-get install slic3r and configure it into repetier-host. Again thanks much for your effort, having this video in corner was great. Looking forward to doing some sketchup and maybe blender if i want to punish myself. All the best!

when i try to find these settings in marlin 2.0 i only find the delta_diagonal_rod, delta_height, delta_endstop_adj, delta_radius, and delta_tower_angle_trim an i have no clue what most of them are, i got the diagonal rod, height, and radius but the others are all 0.0,0.0,0.0

Oh wow, very overwhelmed by the wealth of information here! I have a Anycubic Kossel Pully version with a 200mm round build plate. My initial problem was the X-height calibration and leveling. The print head only probes 69 point in a straight line instead of moving all over build plate. When a print was initiated the head would only move back and forth in a straight line and print a straigh line of garbage with the head eventually hitting and breaking off the extrusion! Since I have noticed that the X stepper was plugged into the additional z (should be unused) socket on Trigorilla mainboard! A closer inspection reviled there was NO X stepper motor socket installed on the board! I have since soldered a 4 pin header onto the board in the X location. Now the head when manually homing will not click the X ends stop and remains low unlike the the other 3, that click when homed. When X -axis height is initiated in this condition the head does now probe other than in a straight line, however the head swings way off the build plate smashing around. I now question if the firmware that was provided by ANYCUBIC was for the wrong model? They sent me the firmware for the Kossel Plus version. I have the Kossel Pully version. When I download the other firmware version other than the plus, I am unable to find the trigorrila hex file as in the firmware information file. So I have no idea where to find the firmware within this firmware download! There is configure .h file file and adv config .h file within the firmware when exploring, however in Cura when choosing to navigate to custom firmware upload, these config files do not show up because they have a .h extension not .hex. So I have no idea as to how to load a different firmware. The firmware Anycubic provided had a .hex suffix as long as a eeprom reset .hex file that Cura was able to upload. But as mentioned before I believe the Anycubic Kossel Plus model may be a larger machine with a bigger dia build plate? Im at a total loss as far as what firmware to use, where to get it and how to get cura to see files that do not have .hex file extensions. All the firmware I have found have ony the configure.h and configure_adv.h which Cura cant read, nor would I know if I could load these, which one or both would I need. Please help, Im very confused and ready to smash something!!

Hey, while leveling my Delta, I can't get any closer to the printing bed. I'm at -6cm now (That's what Marlin said) and my nose is about 5mm away from the printing bed. Where can I find the max hight configuration in Marlin in order for the printer to set the end stops higher, so I can calibrate it?

the newest version of marlin does not use the radius set in arduino. You have to use the m665 r commands and then m500 to save those settings once done. I changed my Radius in arduino my 100 and it did nothing, and apparently on other forums, it is mentioned that marlin doesn't use the way shown in the video anymore. I hope this helps some of you out there. I have spent the last week trying to get this anycubic kossel pulley delta printer working. I've got a few test prints done successfully now.

When I home my delta using Repetier it goes to the end stops, but does not go down at all after. My max z position is 296.4, my Home Z is 270, and my printable height is 296.4. MANUAL_Z_HOME_POS in firmware is 296.4. If I change MANUAL_Z_HOME_POS to 270 it still stops right at the endstops, but Repetier just says it's at 270 instead of 296.4 without moving it back down the 26.4mm. Any thoughts?

this sounds like a wiring issue. make sure everything is properly labeled and if not you can go in and change what the button does by CAREFULLY reading the code, taking a note of what you are going to change each time (so you can change it back to what it was previously if it doesn't work
), and changing the button's actions.

Hi - I'm new to the Kossel XL Firmware.
    Your video's are fantastic.
I've followed your cheats list and amended the parameters to suit my printer.
I'm using your Marlin Cofiguration-h file
I've come to verify the configuration_h and I'm getting an error message. Shown below.

I imagine it's probably that the newer marlin has some changes that don't work with my older configuration.h What I would do is download fresh marlin, use the delta configuration.h example for your machine, then just use mine as a reference, comparing how I set things up.
