I had the honor of watching that #23 GTP car as well as it's twin #22 at the Grand Prix Du Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Unfortunately it began to rain during the race but I had a rooftop vantage point and these cars were SCREAMING ANIMALS!!! Loved every minute of it. Thanks for sharing!
I live in Australia and own a 24 Nismo Z and absolutely love it, I really wanted to go to Nismo Festival but can't fly over because of work :( thanks again for the coverage Dino.
Yes the fairlady z has been for sale in Australia for awhile through their dealerships. I was at the Yokohama showroom last week and we feel in love with the nismo note aura and the v37 400r. Unfortunately they're not available at the dealerships in Australia, fortunately we can import them .
I agree with you man, a lot of car makers are changing their strategy when comes to making vehicles that are more driver focused and exciting, it's hard not to sound like a grumpy old man banging on about "back in the day", but hey guess we should enjoy ourselves while we can and still drive and modify our combustion engines! All the best man 🤘
14:34 … I always liked the GT-R R33! Even all stock with its double-5-spoke wheels. It’s more "bulbous" than the other Skylines but it’s not a bad thing. So is the A80 Supra and FD RX-7! Yet they’re lovely looking cars!
A little late to the party here and I love what you do Dino. Glad to see you warming up to the R33. I love mine and it's definitely worthy of the GTR lineage. You also hit the nail on the head with the Nissan line up and quite frankly the BS EV crap. It's not ready and we can all see it. As you said, someone motorsports derived need to be hired and or brought up to be in charge.
I 1000% agree with your “tangent” at the end of the video. Something I always thought of in my head, especially when I see other manufacturers like BMW or even Kia/Hyundai attempt at creating products that are “exciting” or expresses “passion”. I would however think Nissan’s less than ideal economic state over the last 2 decades probably plays a big factor in their abilities as to what they can experiment with and release
Yes and no. I think a proper restructuring of that company is needed to purge all the relics still hanging on from the old days. They need to let people that understand cars be in control, inject quality and innovation back into its cars and just work hard at figuring out what people actually want to buy. They have to be far more reactive and awake, hire consultants that have their finger on the pulse, not just assume that its own people know everything all the time.
It always stuns me to see how low the GT1 cars are. They are soooo flat! I can't wait for you to show us what Nismo Fest has in store for us this year!
I'm a detailer for Nissan and agree that they've lost their way. Most Nissans in the U.S. are very disposable. 3-year-old trade-ins come in with cesspool interiors and scraped bumpers. We have a white 2024 Nismo Z in the showroom with a $10,000 markup. I like a lot of the design details on the new Z, but I don't see an advantage over getting a used Nismo Z34.
Totally agree Nissan has lost passion and where they came from, forgetting their heritage and what everyone bought into in the past. The underwhelming Z and lack of lower priced entry level sports car is missing an opportunity. They need a new Silvia.
It’s sad to see most Japanese manufacturers heading in this direction. Toyota outsources the engines for their sports cars. Mazda will never make another Rotary. Nissan only makes the Z. And Honda only has the Civic Type-R. Throughout the 90’s all these manufacturers had multiple sports models at really affordable prices, that’s why people got into Japanese cars, they were great value for money. Not anymore, unfortunately 😢

Your love and passion for these cars clearly translates through this video. Nissan will always have a place in my heart ❤

3:38 I thought they only built one road version which they modified then.
Yes, Nissan only made one road version R390. The second one he mentioned owned by Erik Comas is rebuilt from one of the race chassis.

What a display to behold. Thanks for the look Dino.
Really enjoyed this casual, on the fly video... You really need to promote your second channel more on your main channel!
I appreciate that! Yes need to mention it more!!
First time here. Never knew of this second channel. Subscribed for more amazing content. @@OnlyDinoDC

Wish nismo did an s15 “R” like they did for the s14 270R
25:25I knew it😏.
Infinity and nissan they're one.

Érik Coma’s R390 is actually the #30 car that placed 5th at Le Mans in 1998 in which he had restored and made street legal
Something to mention, the red Skyline beside the R35 is also discontinued after 2024 here in Canada and I believe United States.
Enjoyed the video. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it

They are surprisingly small to me, as a kid they seemed huge on tv, then you stand next to one. Sic af, and you ain’t wrong
Among the old and beautiful cars that are not available in Japan is the Altima.
sweet bro 👍🏻💯💪🏻
Beautiful cars, how often do they change the displays here?
Every 2 weeks if I recall correctly
my dream car is a 270r

They have to fix their current situation and get back to making cars that people actually want
What’s the yellow color code on that 400R r33??
Good question, I’m not sure
❤
Dino, what's with the second channel?
It’s for the more vlog oriented content

And they announced they are cutting 9,000 jobs because sales are dramatically down. Make cars that people want!
Love the video BUT that choppy editing is very annoying. Especially when you were showing the 400R and the other 2 cars.

Yeah but at least Toyota made the 3cylinder for the GR Yaris & Corolla.
Mazda is making another rotary but it will only be used as a generator to charge batteries.
