Nice touch Mr! Beautiful work. I really liked your comment about the public appreciation of your beautiful grading. I find it the same here until it rains and the pot holes reappear. Then it’s like where the heck is that grader dude. He can’t grade for squat. Never gets to the bottom of the potholes. Oh well as I say that’s job security…. Hahahahaha.
Thanks for the compliment and thanks for watching and yes that is for suer you get a wet nasty spring and everyone is on your ass but not much you can do when you have them kind of conditions to work with.
Great work my friend. I was wondering if next time you do an intersection if you could set up a tripod on the outside so I can see it a little better. I hate grading intersections and would love to use your ways. Thank you!!
Which kind of grader do you like operating the best? The joysticks or the conventional graders. Most operater say conventional because you get more of a "feel" with the blade.
I actually prefer the joystick I like the ease of control and I don’t seem to see the difference between a conventional controls and joystick controls as far as in feeling the blade thanks for the comment and thanks for watching.
On a GP grader with the finger tip controls you able to use lever steering so I use that instead of the steering wheel much faster for turning around as far as cutting out large potholes you have to cut them completely out so there no longer there otherwise they will come right back. Thanks for watching and for the question
I like both machines but if I have to choose I’d take the 140M hard to beat the ease of control and the visibility of the 140M also have more low end torque on the cat.
When I’m making my turns everything is run manually I pretty much never use float on a motor grader all run by myself thanks for the question and thanks for watching.
You have any suggestions on how to eliminate crowns in an intersection? I've tried to but it seems like it will take an lot of serious cutting to get it out .
I’d recommend you have straight cutting edges and preferably have good moisture I like reshaping my intersections after a rain once you get your intersections reshaped it won’t take you nearly as long to keep them maintained but getting them reshaped will definitely take you an hour or so for every intersection you do hopefully this advice will help you out let me know if ya have any other questions.
@@brandonpadget5515 my dad taught me he operated a blade for 49 years he had his own business and taught me when I was 14 years old and I’ve been in the seat ever since so had a great teacher to learn from also have learned a lot from myself just trying different things over the years.
@@graderman140m the next time you cut a road bed out all the way across , could you show how you got it all setup and everything. I tried finding one of your videos but couldn't seem to find one unless I mess one . Thanks
I’ve been wondering how to fix the race track corners in my town. Now I have to practice and get it figured out. Thank you

I’m learning myself!! Me watching other people do things and the way they approach certain tasks helps me more than being on the machine
Happy to hear that that I also enjoying watching other operators do things cause no one operates a blade the same. Thanks for watching the videos.
It would be awesome to see some before and after videos or pictures of your work. Thanks for the vid, I'm a new grader op and enjoy your videos 👌👍
We have people who like spinning cookies, doughnuts just destroying the intersection.
good evening I was trying it today and it cleans it up, gets rid of all the loose gravel
Happy it worked out for you.

I can definitely do that I will get my drone up in the air and give you an aerial video of how I do my intersections thanks for watching.

@@graderman140m No problem, I've always been a fan of graders since I was a kid. But never ran one.
How do you keep either end of the blade from digging in when you rotate?
I notice you don't use the wheel to turn. How are you turning corners? Also any tips for cutting out large pot holes?

When your making those turns on intersection do you have the blade in float? Or all operators skill
