I'm a grown ass man who has always been intimidated to work on a carburetor. You make it cake! Thx
Thanks for the video. I didn't want to believe my gas was bad, but that was the problem, I finished cleaning the carburetor replaced the gas and the mower worked great.
Thanks for the help, got my mower running thanks to you. I did spray carburetor cleaner in my eye cleaning out the jets 😂
Thanks for showing the throttle arm going back on😊
You're the man..Thank you very much for taking the time to help us weekend warriors.everytime I work on something usually I break something or springs go flying !!! Now I can try this and hopefully my neighbors wont have to buy a goat or two to keep my grass at a respectable length..again thank you !!
Any time
Thanks for the tutorial this really saved me a lot of headache and was extremely helpful. My primary jet wasn't clogged up so taking the carb apart and cleaning it was quite simple after watching your video thank you! 🍻
Took 10 minutes i was just trying to see how the bottom cover snapped in thanks
Thank you.... now I can clean mine our and it might run better.... I hate the fact that California Mandates Small Engine Specs... No Way to control the throttle....When I fiddle with mine, it goes faster and cleans up.... but then throttles back down when the governor kicks in...I knew it had to be the Carbl, I remove the air cleaner...the rpm increases....thank you for the acid trick and the Thourogh Tutorial!!

make sure you change that filter. also you can control the throttle. to the right of the carb against the engine kind under the gas tank there is a metal flap if you bend it toward the front or the back it turns throttle up and down. dont go to far just a little at a time.
Thank you for this. I've been needing with my mower for hours.
Your welcome
Excellent Video and great advice for fixing a simple mower.
Thanks,m
You bet

Thank you for the video. What is the carburetor PN? I clicked the Amazon link and nothing there.
Your video helped me with my mower! Thank you!!
Great to hear!
Just beautifully done my guy
thanks!
Not sure if this is the best tutorial on RUclips or this job is just that easy 🤔
both!
What's the small grey piece that sticks out of the carburetor? Mine fell off when I removed the carburetor from the slot it's held in
vent no biggie
@@smallengineguys Cool. Definitely felt like it wasn't required
Love your video thanks
Thanks👍👍😎😎😎
No problem 👍
How do I drain the oil I'm a female don't really know anything but I'm trying to fix on my own and really kinda enjoy the whole mechanics of it so wish me luck
I tilt it on the side the oil fill is on and dump it out of the oil fill. Takes 3/4 a quarter to fill it.
I find it kind of odd that while most automobile manufacturers had already phased out the use of carburetors in their vehicles in favor of fuel injectors by the end of the 1980's, we are still using carburetors on push mowers, weed eaters, chainsaws and other small engines in the year 2021. You would think that sometime in the past 30 plus years since automobiles stopped using carburetors that lawn equipment manufacturers would of decided to do the same and started making fuel injected small engines instead.
Subaru did make a fuel injected 5 hp the bigger mowers are fuel injected as well. I think it is a cost issue.
What's the part number for that carburetor
Keep your eye open and it will evap off lmbo. Wear gloves and goggles before working with chemicals. I'll try this, thank you
Remove the spiders first too haha
its the truth. i get hit in the eyes all the time i have experience.
👍👍👍
Nice tutorial- the acid should do the trick - the carb link does not work
fixed it. amzn.to/3aN4p85
Where is the oil drain plug at on the craftsman m100?
i just pop the top and tip it on its side and drain it from the fill into a container. takes less than a quart
Where do I find that 24 carrot gold cleaning solution
for this project you use 14k testing solution. amzn.to/3yoZz7Y
Do u have to push?
this is a push mower
Thinking about buying a new one of these mowers. Is that a common issue?
95 percent of the work i do is carburetor. on all equipment. if you use non ethanol fuel and change your oil once a year your mower will last a long time. no matter what one you buy. this is the easiest carb to clean tho.
@@smallengineguys OK. By non ethanol fuel do mean to stay away from regular unleaded gas that contains very small amounts of ethanol or stay away from things like E10, E85, etc?? Thanks
What was the part number for the whole carburetor

Thank you thank you thank you!
P.S. Thank you!
You are so welcome!
I’ve replaced my carburetor and it still won’t crank!! Have no clue what’s wrong
clean the tank? new plug? do you have spark?
@@smallengineguys I’ve drained the gas and got a new spark plug and it still won’t crank. Thinking it may be the engine itself. I’m under factory warranty but the closet service center is an hour away, also no shop in my area will accept this brand or it will take them a month to get to it.
@@gmaine76 check spark. Any auto parts store has a 10 dollar spark testor
I have this mower I am buying a an electric mower
nice
I have it too and it stopped working. I’ve changed the carburetor and it still won’t crank
