"Whatever that means" unfortunately John, if you really want to answer that question you'll need some supplementary material. After you're done with the playthrough I can recommend some if you're still curious (though I'm sure many people already have). Good job with Rom, btw. You've now entered the... well basically the final act of the game. There's still a lot left to see but a large chunk is missable optional areas, just as an fyi.
When you're preforming an action -- Dodging, Attacking, or Healing -- you can be left open to taking more damage if you're caught during that action. Hopefully that helps you some. Keep up the playthrough, really enjoying it!
Every single one of these videos makes my day...I mean, ALL of your videos do John, but these are really something. SUPER impressed at how quickly you caught on and just improved exponentially. Great job, man! Loving all of this content!!!
"Did you expect me to cut?" xD this video/playthrough is gold, never seen John get tilted out his chair ahah- I feel like 2021 gunna be a good year for him!!
Unsure if anyone has mentioned this tip but you can send the lifts back up or down (by quickly stepping on the pressure plate then exiting the elevator area) to save a little time for runs back to a boss or whatever. It saves at the elevation it was last at prior to a death. Been enjoying your play through and glad you gave Bloodborne a chance : )!
Oh - also - John, the 'fist pump' is him stabbing the vial into his own leg, like a syringe, and injecting the blood into himself. The blood is what heals you. The Amygdalas were there the whole time; you just couldn't see them until the illusion was destroyed, which you did by killing Rom. :) Also - Rom used to be a scholar of Byrgenwerth! She BECAME the spider, she was used to cast the illusion/dream over Yharnam. I can't remember, but i thiiiink she did it voluntarily? I always think it's so sad when you do her fight... she's just trying to protect the people of Yharnam from the eldritch truth. She doesn't understand - why are you killing her? Shes just doing what she's meant to... I love her, honestly
I’m absolutely loving the series right now, I really don’t ant it to end. I want to honestly watch you squeeze every possible content out of it but only so long as you enjoy it. Tip on Martyr: he can be “trivialized” (notice the quotes) get in his face immediately; and keep to his right always as it’s safer for his magic. To stop his armor buff, you need to hit him a few times then backstab. The second phase is a lot more hard but parry more here then before. Never try to parry his lunge attack, it’s too quick and unpredictable. Also look into Lidvick’s gun. You may like it.
the nice thing about bloodborne's bosses is that when they are difficult, so long as they look cool enough, defeating them can be really satisfying (I have a hate affair with the decapitated maggot beast in the chalice dungeon but whenever I get past him it feels really nice). Screw the abhorrent beast though. P.S. Combat tip: try pressing L2 when using a weapon 2 handed. Also charge attacks can have combos so long as you have the stamina to do another swing.

@@Laney.R00 For me: the gameplay is close to perfect. It’s difficult as hell, but only in a few instances does it feel like it’s the game’s bullshit rather than your skill. And the satisfaction that comes with beating a boss or difficult level is so good it’s made my hands shake.
I should be studying but I’ve become obsessed with this series!!! Loving it
My school day starts in few hours from now and i just couldn't leave this video for after school. This series is just too good!
That sassy "oh you expect me to cut?" Made me laugh so hard
Edit oh my god I dont think I've seen John get so mad haha I wondered when it would happen with this play through
"I care very little" little enough to just yeet himself off the rooftop LOL. That part killed me; phenomenal
so since rom is dead.
rom is actually a girl and was a student at byrgenworth. she turned into that bug thing later to protect you from seeing the true environment
amygdala paradise
Never knew that, thank you
Wow I beat the RUclips notification, LOL. Love this play through John! So glad you’re happy and enjoying yourself!
Keep it up! ☺️
The "did you expect me to cut" was my favorite part
The blood moon looked amazing!!! So stoked to see more of this game and how everything is starting to shift. Really looking forward to piecing together the lore to understand what the hell is going on. lmao.
On a side note, I love that every time John goes to open a door and it's locked or something just how absolutely appalled and offended he is. Cracks me up lol.
Awesome video John, thanks for the upload & looking forward to watching the next one!
"You're suffering through this with me"
Oh, John. You know not the meaning of suffering... yet.
I have such sights to show you...
Wow I can't believe the Scholar Hunter didn't spam her shit fucking one shot spell 800 fucking times.
......."oh, did you expect me to cut? NO!" LMAO
John bullies my wife, Rom, The Vacuous Spider for 20 minutes: the video
Congrats on all 500000 kids, Christmas must be expensive.
I am absolutely loving this playthrough. Your commentary makes the game more fun.
2:30
me - looks like he's charging up
John - going to go for a back stab next to the ledge of the roof
Martyr Logarius - you've activated my trap card
John - falls...."thats really anticlimactic... i had a back stab"
me - not really, but at least i get to watch more bloodborne, yay
“I had so much health left”
Me: welcome to dark souls
John is now very clearly one of us whom have played this game before. I get your rage, my dude.
Part of the rite of passage, ain't it?
"do you have tenure here?" LMAO
such a john comment lol
I think that fight is the hardest in the game overall. Accounting for that BRUTAL runback. You're still doing great, really impressive playthrough.
The 100+ page "Paleblood Hunt" pdf.
Lead Elixirs can help a lot to prevent chain stagger attacks like the ones Logarius mauled you with.
Doesn't it hinder movement speed though
@@RollerOfEyes
It does, but it's not like Logarius plays keepaway on phase 2.
"You're going to run out of guardians"
Rom: stop the cap
When you're preforming an action -- Dodging, Attacking, or Healing -- you can be left open to taking more damage if you're caught during that action. Hopefully that helps you some.
Keep up the playthrough, really enjoying it!
I binged most of the previous parts over the weekend, and now I'm here for the rest of the journey. Love experiencing games from your perspective!
Every single one of these videos makes my day...I mean, ALL of your videos do John, but these are really something. SUPER impressed at how quickly you caught on and just improved exponentially. Great job, man! Loving all of this content!!!
Impressive. Rom, the Vacuous Spider killed so easily.
John may just be the Hunter that Laurence was looking for...
The *Last* Hunter.
“what’s with the baby!?”
you’ll know young great one
Oh, yes. Yes he will.
I honestly appreciate the longcut - it adds a lot to the experience!
The Paleblood sky... at long last... Everything has changed, now...
You're about halfway through the game's main quest!
"Did you expect me to cut?" xD this video/playthrough is gold, never seen John get tilted out his chair ahah- I feel like 2021 gunna be a good year for him!!
I love this series. John's snarkiness mixes surprisingly well with Bloodborne
There is a door in odeon chapel you have not yet opened. Many secrets are behind it.
Also - Rom used to be a scholar of Byrgenwerth!
Has anyone bothered telling John he can upgrade his guns-
Ye.
the nice thing about bloodborne's bosses is that when they are difficult, so long as they look cool enough, defeating them can be really satisfying (I have a hate affair with the decapitated maggot beast in the chalice dungeon but whenever I get past him it feels really nice). Screw the abhorrent beast though.
P.S. Combat tip: try pressing L2 when using a weapon 2 handed. Also charge attacks can have combos so long as you have the stamina to do another swing.
I hope he sees someone comment this. Its bothering me so much that he hasn't learned the alternate combos D:
Yep and 2 handed ludwig with L2 is one of my favorite attack moves in bloodborne
Oh my god I was so happy! I just finished watching ep10 and saw you'd posted this one! The suffering and frustration in this was palpable. Damn John, have a lie down, pour yourself a huge drink, something!!
Play back speed 0.25
8:37 - 8:44
The rage and absolute helplessness in John’s eyes 0_0
Gets whooped by the big L Garious and cracks up, proceeds to mock his summons and belittle mobs and mini bosses when he ganks them.
Hey Salt, Its John aand -
John: I care very little!
Hunter: Guess I'll just die 🤷🏻♂️ **falls off roof**
Cookie the Dog has cursed John with gravity
