    For those that are new to DCS World, this is the aircraft you get for free and this tutorial series will be aimed at a brand new player with limited or no experience with a flight simulator.
    You will be exposed to the mission editor, learn how to make missions that allow you to practice the skills required to master DCS from the ground up and also be able to fly sorties along side the tutorial videos at the same time.
    In today's tutorial we will take a look at how to set keybinds required for dropping free fall ordnance, perform and aircraft refuel and re-arm and talk you through some basic principals of unguided free fall bombing techniques,
    This series structure will apply to any other module you would like to learn and will give you the building blocks and steps required to go from ZERO to HERO!

    Thank you for doing this series! Just started DCS and all the information you've covered has helped me a lot with getting into it. Looking forward to learning about the more advanced weapons systems you can fit on the Su-25T :3

    Well done, particularly the use of the potentially dead air in transit. Wouldn’t mind seeing a video using the American surplus ‘50s vintage television set thing to the right of the cockpit. Drove myself trying to make that thing work back in the day

    great to get an idea of what to expect in the way of speed , altitude and distance to use and how long it takes to actually do a decent bombing run. helps manage expectations as i always over shoot my target time i get trimmed and ready , also you fly sooooo smoothly..bring your dramamine if youre flying with me !! :-)

    Great series. I haven't been following along with duplicating your training missions, but I watch with interest and have used the knowledge gained to create my own training missions for a variety of aircraft. Really enjoy the specific system tutorials like this one to learn and practice using the various flight systems/techniques and employing different types of weapons. Good stuff!

    Just started the game, learned a lot watching your SU-25T serie. I don't want to spend money on modules without being sure to be interested enough and you helped me a lot overcoming the first hours, especially when considering the fact that the ingame tutorials are'nt that great for real beginners (Didn't understand a thing on the nav part before watching your vid about it). Anyway, thank you very much for your work, it is really good and you know what point must be further explained on a beginner point of view and what not. Hope you keep this serie up and add further content.

    Loving the series especially the mission editor bits. following along in the Frog but doing it again in the MiG15 since it's my most manual plane. It doesn't even have a bomb pipper .. all visual 😲
    Thanks for demystifying the weapons release panel on the Frog. I find experimenting using custom missions helps me more than the built-in training missions. I finally dove into the mission editor with your last series for dummies and it's helped me a ton.

      @@TorniQuetHD Correct, I have a buddy just starting DCS and is struggling with the mission editor so if you could make available the .miz file for these missions your are doing, I think it would make it much easier for him to follow along. Thanks!

    • @TorniQuetHD
      @TorniQuetHD  2 года назад +1

      I’m kinda just running the one mission save, but in the videos I go through how to use the mission editor from very basics to help new players learn how to build basic missions to practice on too.

  • @midnight7297
    @midnight7297 2 года назад

    How on earth do you spot them. I'm watching up close on a 55" screen, and at eg 1:10:25 I can't see a thing as you're picking out the next target........not sure if just my eyesight or the youtube compression

    • @TorniQuetHD
      @TorniQuetHD  2 года назад +1

      RUclips compression is definitely a factor for seeing stuff in the videos but they are also hard to train your eyes to look for dots on the ground. It will help you learn how to spot stuff when you placed the units down in the mission so you already know where to kinda look and go from there.

    14:08 to 15:30 Does this seem a bit like saying something too many times? Once is great -- this is a video and we can rewind/replay any time. Twice, ok to maybe express the idea from another perspective. But this just goes on and on, like the words just aren't somehow conveying what the narrator wishes to express. It's exhausting.

    Hi Torni, just a very quic k question regarding trimming the aircraft. Whenever I try to trim out, I can never seem to get the trim to settle at neutral, it always trims either to much nose down or up, or too much righ t or left wing down. Even when I just tap the trim this is happening. I've tried using the standard controls set up in game & also using RS Mapper. Can you throw me any tips please?

    • @TorniQuetHD
      @TorniQuetHD  2 года назад +1

      Trimming for me, I use the stick to keep the aircraft flying straight and level and then put a bit of trim in… release the stick and see how much it moves… re centre the stick, trim again… release stick and see what aircraft does… rinse and repeat until you can release the stick and it flies straight and level

    • @TorniQuetHD

      Let me know how you go with it mate, I can get it pretty damn close to straight and level in the frogfoot

    • @ColonelAkirNakesh
      @ColonelAkirNakesh 2 года назад +1

      @@davidsollory2532 If you haven't already, also check your acceleration (top left of HUD)...let's say after a climb you trim down to maintain level flight, given the same throttle you will begin to accelerate due to now flying level instead of climbing, which will result in your plane nosing up again. In other words make sure you aren't accelerating or decelerating when you are trying to trim for level flight :)

    • @davidsollory2532

      @@ColonelAkirNakesh thank you for this, I hadn't even thought about the acceleration, deceleration effect. I'll give that a go.

    I really hate this plane the last time I flew it in Caucasus mountain area. It does one pass and takes forever to turn back for another pass. I only like his rockets , vikh missiles and the anti Sam missiles. But f18 is just that much quicker and more agile.more reliable for me in those mountains area. This plane stalls if you try pull hard turns and feels sluggish as f. Also the tyres are like toys they break easy lol.
