I have hooded eyes too and am older than you by a decade. You can still wear shimmer on you lid and inner corner. Just before you put it on,
apply Too Faced shadow insurance on the lid and inner corner and it will prevent transfer. I learned this from Stephanie Nicole, another beauty blogger and MUA. I tried it last night and the shimmer shadow did not budge. I even took a Qtip and rubbed it to no avail. It was locked in but came of easily with micellar water.
I've also found that the Viseart shimmers stay in place. Otherwise, my hooded eyes rub everything together within two hours. I personally like the Covergirl Lid Lockup primer. It's super sticky.

Honestly if I am not doing a crazy neutral look, then I have to match eyeshadow to outfit. Otherwise I have no idea how to makeup LOL!
And 99% of the time the blush/lips must be cohesive which means a monochromatic face like allll the time.

It sounds weird but having a candle or lighting the background helps with that light changing as much.

I've been wanting to try Viseart shadows and I really love the vibe of Dark EDIT. The only other palette that has piqued my interest is Dark Mattes, but the Dark Edit is my new favorite color story from them and I already have so many palettes that $39 for less product is more appealing to me ❤️
Definitely still get the Dark Mattes...It's my favourite matte palette from Viseart! Especially with Fall and winter coming up;p

Happy Sunday. So...... I received my Beautylish order yesterday with my "Wayne Goss #4!!". Lol😂😂😂😂😂.( I also ordered a bunch of Good Molecules skincare AND the new Charlotte Tilbury peach color corrector) So, between the Sonia G Pro Eye 5pc set I received last month and now the "Wayne Goss #4!!" Brush, I feel like I am finally ready to step up my old lady eyeshadow game. Lol😂😂.

GretchenVaughn Yes for sure it is different. Softer looks in my opinion but there is definitely enough color to amp it up if you want. I hope you like it If you pick it up!

Totally autumn, and totally perfect as it isn't at all ashy or watered down in its pigmentation! In other words; I know I need this one especially since I love jewel tones and rich shades like these. You did some stunning eye looks using this!

Aw here we go with Sexy Eyeshadow Flute Time! 🎵 Olives, plums, and oranges oh my! What a beautiful color story and right up my alley too. Not going to buy this (though that's a nice price), but you always inspire me to dig into my own stash and come up with similar looks. Once again, 🔥 nails Alicia! I need to get on the Live Love Polish train, their color changing and magnetic chromes have me very intrigued.

Because of watching your videos during the Sephora sale I picked up the ND mini Nude and the Visart Rose along with replacement product for two of my Bobbi Brown face products that I use daily. I almost picked up ND Sunrise but I thought I’d wait until November and see what she does for the holidays. I will definitely pick this Dark Edit. Viseart is just killing it with these little compact color stories. I bought the Apricotine during the Summer VIB sale & really like it. I'm thinking this little beauty you're reviewing here would be a good companion for her to deepen up some looks for Fall. Would also supplement Absinthe & Amethyst well.
Oh yes! I’ve been loving Apricotine: the soft browns and peaches make for a beautiful daily hazy eye. And yes Dark Edit would be so good with those two theory palettes. I almost bought them during the BTGT sale 🤪

Ahhh YUM! I love love love these new mini's. I think they preform so well, the packaging is so good. I like holding them, opening them, actually using them. Getting more use than many of my large ones. Thanks! If ya can't tell, I'm a fan. ;)

I just saw this palette on IG this Sunday, and I love the colors. Thanks for your timely video. 😉😀💄🎨
I picked up the Warm Edit based on your positive review on other Viseart palettes. You never steer me wrong! I said the same as you did in an earlier video: "Why am I using anything else?" 😂 It's a perfect introduction to Viseart. The Rosé Edit is next on my list. Using the metallics wet brought such depth they almost looked like duochromes. I have hooded eyes that usually mush everything together but these babies held true. They also played well with a few Colourpop matte shadows I added in.
I wish the Dark Edit had come out earlier, because I would have chosen it over Libertine. There are two shades in that palette that are giving me fits and the ivory shade is superfluous. Either way, I found I surprisingly already have similar shades in my collection. I guess I've been going dark for awhile.
If you like a sticky eye primer, Covergirl Lid Lockup is excellent. It has a little color. I usually set it above the crease and let the lid colors grab on. Oddly, Juvia's Place mattes do beautifully with it, but not if I set it. I've been trying out the Nars primer and am really enjoying it. I hadn't thought about layering primers other than glitter glue. Thank you for the idea to try it!
Thank you for the rec, Gretchen! I’m happy to hear that the staying power held you down! And that’s why I feel Viseart is such high standard. I love the looks, and how sophisticated the color stories are. I haven’t tried Libertine, but I’m sure they’re open to improving that formula.
kinkysweat I read the Temptalia review today of Libertine. She points out that the pigments are extra hard pressed so they can be used both wet and dry. She didn't recommend the blue shade for anything but eyeliner. I was indeed looking for a blue that could blend. I'm going to return the Libertine to Sephora-and finally get the Colourpop Misunderstood palette at 25% off today.
I have siren & I’m still getting this 😅 I just got the warm Edit , coy & neutral mattes 2 & I have others but viseart is amazing ! I just used my coy & neutral mattes palettes & my look turned out so beautiful & I got so many compliments 🙌🥰 I already love viseart but every time I use one of my viseart palettes I’m reminded of how amazing they are ! Wow. I just bought Dark Mattes a couple of weeks ago during the VIB sale, but I'm thinking of picking this up too as it would be so perfect for travel!
Whew, I’m conflicted that everyone is coming out with all my color stories . I think I will find metallics to pull in with the Dark Mattes I already own , but this is a beautiful lower cost option for gifts. I love my soliel.
