Please rename your video to number #1video on pool set up. I’ve been watching videos for two weeks and I’m so glad I ran into this one. Last I stop right here I’m going to do every step exactly as you have. Thank you so much.
YES SIR, PLEASE 🙏🏿 😅❤. I am new here, to this channel. Every video I’ve clicked on, I am amazed. Actually, how can I go about hiring you to set up my above ground pool just like you did yours? 😅
It took 3 people for me to set this up last year and about 2 hours. After I watched your vid I did it by myself in about 30 mins. Thanks for all that hard work and effort you put into your video.
Mate, you should be very proud of what you and your boy accomplished. Thanks for the tutorial, will definitely reference in creating our very own backyard oasis. Cheers!
i wish i had watched your video before i did mine lol i like this idea of making a border with string before you started digging. i made a very crude border and have a huge oak tree about 10-12 ft away from my pool and its roots were like a big spider web just a few inches deep. it took me 3 days just digging up roots!!!! had to use an iron rake and root cutters because a soil tiller was absolutely not feasible with all the roots. I truly wished my yard had no trees near it lol you made it look sooo easily! 😊
Wow, it sounds like you spent a lot of time and energy trying to set up your sand base. It’s really the hardest part of the process especially if your backyard is not level and have big trees. Congratulations though:)
We opened our above ground pool earlier than normal this year and it was freezing. Bought this pool warmer and it is great. Easy to attach with the purchase of love hoses.
Thank you. I spent tons of hours to create this video and I think it worth it. The hardest part is leveling up the ground, if it’s already leveled, it is a two day project. Good luck.
Thanks. I spent tons of hours for the video, even more than actual pool setup. I just wanted to make people’s lives easier. I couldn’t find any clear one while setting up my own pool and decided create one with all details.
THUMBS UP.** BEST SET UP ON RUclips, Mate your *****AWESOME **** So detailed, and the music till the end was like TaDa, I got it set up so fast. Thank you take care & have a great day * Love Hugs & peace :)
I’ve watched this multiple times and am finding it sooo helpful in getting my ground prepped but can you please let me know how you set 2x4 s in ground? Are they secured with anything along the length as well as blocks you added at corners?? I’m hoping to complete my frame this weekend! We want to float!! 😂 thank you 🙏 I love all of your videos and hard work!! My yard is getting prettier!
Yes I bought some rebar but wasn’t sure if I needed that in addition to the blocking you screwed into the corners!? I’ll try the blocking first!! 😊 thank you 🙏
Replace the sand with Poly Filter balls. The filter smaller particles, weigh nothing and you dont get sand in your pool. Water pressure is much better too.
Hi! Hope you don’t mind me asking a few questions for further elaboration. I am going at this with NO building/contracting experience so this is a huge endeavor for me: 1. How did you figure out the measurements of the bottom of the U supports were wrong? How exactly did you accommodate this inaccuracy without starting all over? 2. What was the black fabric you placed over the sand before you put tarp atop of it? 3. When you were leveling, did you just dig the highest point within your pool area, or did you dig and level the entire area down to the same level? Was it 6 inches? 4. If you didn’t dig everywhere, did you simple till the other places? will this work for a rectangular pool as well
Hey there, Certainly! 1. I realized that I needed to make an adjustment before filling the pool with water. I added another row of U supports directly beneath the existing ones. I explained this at 10:30. 2. Instead of using regular landscaping fabric, I suggest using thicker fabric like the one found here: amzn.to/3qoyVMK 3. For the sandbox, I recommend digging down the highest points and removing the top layer of grass for the rest of the area. The sandbox should have a minimum depth of 4 inches. Instead of making the sandbox higher, I suggest leveling the ground and constructing the sandbox using 2 by 4s or 2 by 6s. 4. The lower areas can simply be tilled. This method can be used for any above-ground pool. I hope this addresses all of your questions.
Nice!! I wish mine would’ve come with support straps to keep the side u supports from moving outward as I’m filling it with water…now its a pain in the ass trying to jack up the supports to bring them closer to liner…last pool I order from Bestway thats for sure!? Good video though
So the wood supports for the long sides are at ground level while the end supports on the cruves are elevated the 1.5" thickness of the 2x6? Is that correct?
Does port b release clean water into pool ? I have the same pool first time with a sand filter and it feels like water isn’t flowing in or is it not visible ??
Port B of the pump sucks the dirty water from the pool, sends it to the filter and the port A of the filter pumps the clean water to the pool. If water is not circulating check your connections, make sure the control valve is in play position and there is no air in the pump. If there is air in the pump, open Port D, turn the control panel to drop position and run the pump for a minute then close the port d, turn the control valve to Play position and run the pump. It should help. If it doesn’t help you can call me at 901-651-1844. This is my whatsapp.
great video! about how long did it take to assemble the pool. not including the base or platform for the pump. also not including filling it with water. just the pool structure and filtration system together.
I just got the same pool but unfortunately I didn’t watch this video before and mennnn, it would have help me so much. My pool on one side is good and on the other side is like a big bubble is like bulging out and I do not what to do. Should I take all the water out and do it again or what can I do
Question, in another video as well as the instructions, it says to add water inside the sand filter. Did you soak the sand is that why your sand looks thick? Or you just didn't add it?
@@DanielDemir well the one i got was from home depot and it was the same brand you mentioned on your video so i was confident in the purchase 😮💨 anyways well i saw an another video they had added water, i'm assuming since mine wasn't a wet sand then I did the right think to add water?? Is that correct? Also can you possible add a video on the type of chemicals you use for your pool and how to properly maintain a pool with its chemical and all that stuff. As you can see, I'm new to the whole thing about owning an above ground pool and luckily you and I have the same pool so your video was heaven sent! THANK YOU SO MUCH! Yeah IDK how or where to start when it comes to how much chemicals i should be adding or what type of chemicals I EVEN NEED 😭😭 I finally got my pool set up and my filter sand pump going. Last night, I even added the CLOROX shock xtrablue( 1lb bag), supposedly the 1lb bag of clorox shock is: 1lb per 12,000 GAL. If our pool holds 6,021 Gallons, does that mean i should have just added half that bag? 😭😱cause i put the whole bag and is that it or do i have to add other chemicals? I won't lie, I'm lost. I really appreciate you for answering to my comment and i hope to hear from you soon! Thanks
Hello, I recently bought this pool and used your guide the entire way. Once we started filling the pool about 30% we notice a small puddle. I know this is not normal for it to have a slow leak. But I wanted to check in with you if you encountered that. Now it’s 30%full and I don’t know if I should keep filling or return it back to Costco.
Middle straight pole underneath the linear. It’s not where the pool curves up but more like underneath. It’s also not a huge puddle but when we wipe clean the puddle comes back like a slow leak. There shouldn’t be a leak? Seems like the middle seam is were it’s coming from.
Costco is willing to give me an exchange but it’s already more than 30% full and i dont know if I should ignored that slow leak or drain sit completely to take it back
really appreciate this video, and I'm about to embark on basically the identical build for our new pool. It's the exact same pool that we purchased. But I have a question and I'm hoping you can answer. I noticed that you said that U supports in to your sand when you levelled it off. However, the individual leg supports that you attached to the boards you have above the sand base. Did that present any significant challenges or issues with the fact that the supports are not at the same level?
Ok so i have the same pool. It says not to put it on sand. But i don't understand why. Any indication of why when it needs to be very level? Settling? I have access to a plate compactor so id think that's the way to go.
@DanielDemir How can I send you a picture? It's in the manual. Lol. Its so weird. I think I'm going to do it anyway. The only thing I can think they don't want us to use sand is because not everyone would get the correct sand or compact it correctly which would cause it to wash out from under the pool with rain. But idk.
I’m looking at this pool in a 12x 20 but need to know if anyone knows if it will work in my 14’ wide space??? (One side is my fence and on the other side a walkway.)
I’m not one to usually comment but needed to let you know this is the BEST video! I’ve watched countless others and each one leaves out something or another. Your video would have saved me lots of time if I’d started here, and it thankfully allowed me to finish my installation. Props to you!!

I liked your landscape. How did you butt the top rail to the next top rail without separation from each other?
Hands down the best video on RUclips for this pool setup. Thank you for posting this, really helpful and perfectly clear instructions.
You are welcome. I put tons of hours into this project and the video:)

agree!! wonderful and very detailed video!
By far the best video in the internet i wish i would ve seen two years ago when i put my pool up
Thank you so much 😊
Honestly the best video regarding this pool and filter set up! Along with the added before and after prep. Thanks.
Thank you so much 😊
Thank you for this. So helpful. My daughter and I put it all together within 3 hours.
You are so welcome 🙏
This is the best video ever!!!! Everything is detailed and very well made!!! Congrats 👏 👏 👏

Great to to be able to help.
İnce işçilik isteyen ve de epey meşakkatli bir uğraşmış, şimdi daha iyi anladım.
Awesome 👌 job I'm inspired to do something similar with the wood around the pool
Excellent video! Thank you for taking the time to share. I’m about to set up this same pool
You are very welcome.
I just want to say a big THANK YOU to you sir. Your video helped me a lot. Cheers
You are very welcome 🙏

Are you talking about the 2 by 4 sandbase frame? Yes they were secured with some sticks hammered in the ground.
Yes I bought some rebar but wasn’t sure if I needed that in addition to the blocking you screwed into the corners!? I’ll try the blocking first!! 😊 thank you 🙏

Fudge what the city ordinance says. It’s my house, I’m going to put my pool wherever I feel like it 😂
Wait there's a city ordinance
Solid video.
Great job
Thank you
Thank you for the tutorial! Question, why you did not use the solar panel?
I didn’t need to:) also it weakens the pump suction.
Thanks for the video man.
Lot of work... hope you guys enjoy it... ❤
We do. Thank you 🙏
Great job 👍🏻
Hello! Did you use Paver Base for the entire area? From the video, it looks like you only added it around the sides. Great video!
The plan was to added to the entire area but I ended putting 10-15 bags.
I managed to get wrinkles at the bottom of the pool that wont go away and threaded the bolt on the nut for the pump 😢
Amazing video
I was wondering once it gets up past the hoses hook into the pool. Does it start straighten out like the sides?
Yes
Very well done, another masterpiece from the maestro.
:)
Nice video! I'm gonna receive my pool next week and i whant to plan everything ahead. Do somebody know how long is the electical cord for the pump ?
It should be around 15 ft

Wow, I didn’t know that they had a pool without support straps. I can imagine the pain. I am so sorry for you. Thank you for your comment.
What does it mean if my pump seems to not push pressure when backwash or just seems like it’s not working.
It means there is some air in your pump that needs to be removed. If you call me on weekends I can help you 901-651-1844
Great job and thank you for this Video. Help me
Its was good vibe
So the wood supports for the long sides are at ground level while the end supports on the cruves are elevated the 1.5" thickness of the 2x6? Is that correct?

No, 6 hours a day should be enough
Thank you! Good thing I have solar because it’s been running for days! 😂
Thats a nice size pool abi. What pool is it?
Bestway from Costco
what sand filter did you use? The 1 I think it is, isn't enough gallon capacity.
It’s somewhere in the description or video. I don’t remember
great video! about how long did it take to assemble the pool. not including the base or platform for the pump. also not including filling it with water. just the pool structure and filtration system together.
Not more than an hour

Yes you should drain the entire pool and set it up again correctly.
Mine is still pushed in even though it's filled with water, do you have a solution on how to fix it?
I don’t, sorry
This is cool, did you keep your pool up during winter?
No I closed it
Question, in another video as well as the instructions, it says to add water inside the sand filter. Did you soak the sand is that why your sand looks thick? Or you just didn't add it?
The sand sold for pool is usually come vet. I didn’t add any water.

Both 2 by 4 and 2 by 6 should work

Those leg supports are buried a little in the sand to be leveled, but even it’s not leveled it won’t cause any significant issues.
@@DanielDemir thank you sir. project begins saturday...much appreciated!!
Guzel olmus gule gule kullanın
I have one leg that is tilted in at bottom will this be a big issue?
Did you already fill out the pool? If yes , there is nothing to do at the moment but I don’t think that it’ll be a big issue.
@@DanielDemir yes the pool was already filled
So, in actuality, how wide of a space does this pool need with the side supports?
If my space is 15’ x 25’ will this 22’ x 12’ pool fit including side braces? I have extra space for the filter pump.
Never mind. I found the info I needed referring to your video and that of another person. Mahalo for posting!
What exactly is the size? Width length and height. When the U hooks are extended out how much further out does it come inches?
I put all details in the video.
Ok so i have the same pool. It says not to put it on sand. But i don't understand why. Any indication of why when it needs to be very level? Settling? I have access to a plate compactor so id think that's the way to go.

👍👍👍👍
Does it come with the bolts to mount the pump on the plywood??
No
Do you take it down each winter?
No, if you remove the water during winter your pool will be deformed and out of warranty.
@@DanielDemir So you keep it up all winter and winterize it? How does it hold up? I’m in southern New England and we take it down every winter. Thanks
Did you add gravel after pool was up?
Yes I did .
how many pounds of sand did you need for the filter?
About 10
How much did 5 yard of sand cost and how much inch depth did you dig? Also did you need all 5yards of sand
It costed about $400 , if the surface is level you only need 3 yards
Is this pool a 12 x 20 bestway?
Please see the video description
Where do I put the chlorine chemical round thing
You need to buy a floating tablet container
what was the size off your pad 🤔
Which pad?
I’m looking at this pool in a 12x 20 but need to know if anyone knows if it will work in my 14’ wide space??? (One side is my fence and on the other side a walkway.)
It shouldn’t be too close to your fence
How much did your electricity bill increase by using the filter?
I didn’t even realize it. Very little maybe
What type of sand was used?
I don’t know, I told the sand company that I would use it for an above ground pool
3:47
what a joke lmao
